I mean overall it's a 5. Sure they have the occasional call off like any business. I think I can remember twice in 20 years having an issue. Once a reschedule because of a call off and once charged a fee for a no show cancelation on my part. Does it rub me the wrong way at the time? Yes but they are running a business so I understand you can't have people canceling all the time or they may lose money. I can only recommend to ask a lot of questions and do your own due diligence as for insurance coverage etc.. you know take some personal accountability. When you solely rely 100% on everyone else something will go wrong eventually. Recently went for a cleaning and needed a cavity filled. Everything was nice and professional from the hygienist Bethanne to Kelcey the assistant and the dentist Christine. Extremely disappointed with our experience at Riversbend Dental. My son needed his wisdom teeth removed, and the office scheduled the procedure with an oral surgeon they selected -- never once telling us the provider was out-of-network with our insurance. We showed up thinking everything was covered, only to be hit with a $1,000+ bill on the day of the appointment. When I questioned it, I was told we'd be charged a cancellation fee if we didn't go through with it. So we were stuck -- no warning, no options, and no transparency. This is completely unacceptable. We trusted them to coordinate care responsibly, and they failed. If you go here, double-check everything they schedule for you. We loved this place when we first became patients. The experience has tanked in the past year. In the last 12 months we have experienced billing errors, hygienists no showing for our appointments with no warning, and a complete inability for them to schedule cleanings on the 6 month cycle that they recommend (all 4 family members were told at their last visits that they were booked 8+ months out). I am a new Patient. I immediately felt welcomed. everyone I spoke to was so nice and friendly. From the minute I walked in the door I couldn't ask for better care. They were thorough and addressed any concerns I had. My Hygienist Summer was extremely exceptional. I always dreaded cleanings and had a fear going to the dentist, because the cleanings hurt and I bled a lot. Summer made me feel at ease, she was very thorough and is exceptional. the cleaning didn't hurt a bit. Inever felt as comfortable having a cleaning done as I did today. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Romick and everyone at Riversbend Dental. I have a tendency to get nervous when I go to the dentist. Add to that, that I've had to have more dental work done in the past year than I've ever had to have done. Dr. Romick & staff were awesome. I have been a patient of Dr. Romick for a few years now. I don't live close to the office but I continue going there because Dr.Romick, and all the other staff, have been wonderful every time I have gone there. My last visit I had a crown fall out and I didn't have dental insurance, however they gave me a huge discount and saved me almost a grand. Consider other options. Spent a considerable amount of money this past spring addressing some root canals at Riversbend. Within 8 months, they both became infected and resulted in thousands of dollars invested to correct by an endodontics specialist. It has now taken 2 months for the final work to be completed. When I had inquired with Riversbend to review my re-work needed, they took absolutely no accountability for the situation stating that these things happen sometimes. I've never had a dental office that made me feel so good. I started going here almost two years ago after several years without going to the dentist. I was so scared and worried that I would need so much work done. Michelle made me feel relaxed and understood when I told her I was full of anxiety. She actually told me my teeth were in good shape. I like this dental office. Well about as much as anyone could every like going to the dentist. This location has done a great job of trying to create a serene environment in a clean and modern space. I have always worked with Dr. Megan Weisenberger and been very pleased with her professionalism and friendly disposition. I have worked with two different dental hygienists and both were really lovely women. Every time I have worked with this office for a cleaning or other appointment, I have felt like a priority and that my time was valued. I've never felt pushed to get fillings or other expensive dental procedures and every recommendation or diagnosis made here has been straightforward and consistent. I am especially impressed by the fact that every recommendation comes with an estimate that includes my specific insurance company's contribution and in/out of network costs. This saves me from having to spend a great deal of time on the phone with my dental insurance trying to do the math about what they cover specifically. I do not recommend you waste your time or money at Riversbend dental. The dental staff and my dentist have been great. Minimal issues once I'm actually back in a chair for my services. But the front desk staff are incompetent and rude. They have billed my credit card outside of my agreement unauthorized. They never apologized for it or tried to fix it. I had an emergency I needed to come in for and I was placated by a staff member and a manager who was clearly new and tried to push the problem back on me! Did not acknowledge or apologize for the rude and disrespectful behavior of her team. I've spent thousands of dollars of my own money to have different work done and will never spend another penny here. It's a shame they can't hire anyone at the front desk who knows what they're doing and cares. They will lose more customers because of this. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Maag's since I first started going to the dentist (and he was practicing at his office in Sharonville) more than 20 years ago. He'd since moved to West Chester Dental Group for a number of years before recently settling at Riversbend Dental in Maineville, Ohio. [Side note: Had I not been a lifelong patient of Dr. Maag's, I wouldn't even consider driving all the way to Maineville for dental appointments. But that's neither here nor there, as I certainly won't go to another dentist as long as Dr. Maag is still working.] Riversbend Dental is situated in a newer strip mall near some restaurants (Subway and Skyline to name a couple), which doesn't set it apart from most other doctors offices. Inside, however, is a serene, comfortable atmosphere, and it is clear that careful attention has been paid to the décor. The fountain in the entry is as welcoming and friendly as the receptionist, who has been with Dr. Maag off and on since his days in Sharonville. All of the chairs and equipment are brand new and top-of-the-line; providing comfort and ease for a place that isn't always relaxing. Normally I am bored out of my mind at the Dentist's office and end up reading Good Housekeeping for an hour before anyone sees me. Not Here!!!! There is a Huuuuge fish tank with all kinds of exotic fish, flat screen tv's everywhere!!! You even get to watch tv on your very own flat screen when you are in the chair getting worked on!!!! It really helps you take your mind off of the drilling (in my case). I used to hate my teeth, but Dr. Maag did his thing, and I love showing off my chiclets!!!! read more
