The dentist also extracted a second tooth that she said needed a root canal and asked if she should extract. I was in such pain and agreed which probably was a mistake. Then I went to the manager and she set up a follow-up periodontal treatment plan with an appointment. A couple days later I had to return because I was in even worse pain and my gum had become infected. The dentist prescribed pain killers and antibiotic. I called back and cancelled my periodontal treatment. Later, I found my credit card was charged for the periodontal treatment -- I had earlier had a problem with another dentist like that and insurance said, first of all, they need to submit the bill to them first and if the patient owes anything, then submit a bill to the patient. I called back and complained and they said they would refund me. About a month later I got a check in the mail. So, that was what I thought would be the end of my relation with Aspen Dental -- thank God. However, last month, more than a year after my experience, I started getting texts, saying I owed them money but didn't explain why. I ignored it at first because I had submitted my insurance and thought I was all paid up. But the texts continued so today I called and they said they refunded me twice. I knew I got the check in the mail, so how could that be? It turned out they also refunded my credit card. I rechecked and sure enough I did get a credit. Now, I'm not sure what to do about this. They made all these mistakes: 1. I got an infection 2. They charged for a procedure I didn't receive 3. They charged before submitting the bill to my insurance as is the appropriate procedure 4. They mistakenly sent two refunds 5. They text me more than a year later saying I owe them money without telling me why All I can say, if you're looking for a new dentist, go to Moorehead Dentistry, which is just up the road over by the Walmart in Lebanon.

My wife went in for her appointment, and from the moment she entered the lobby until she left the building, she felt everything mentioned in all the post reviews. She was forced into dental plans and/or coverages...and was not able to be seen until the finances were in order. This is after a long conversation about whether our insurance covered what we were asking to get done. I have never seen her so rattled. Worst experience ever!! I should have read the reviews before putting my lovely wife through that!!

Extremely disappointed with our experience at Riversbend Dental. My son needed his wisdom teeth…read moreremoved, and the office scheduled the procedure with an oral surgeon they selected -- never once telling us the provider was out-of-network with our insurance. We showed up thinking everything was covered, only to be hit with a $1,000+ bill on the day of the appointment. When I questioned it, I was told we'd be charged a cancellation fee if we didn't go through with it. So we were stuck -- no warning, no options, and no transparency. This is completely unacceptable. We trusted them to coordinate care responsibly, and they failed. If you go here, double-check everything they schedule for you. Clearly, they don't feel obligated to disclose important cost or insurance information ahead of time.

I mean overall it's a 5. Sure they have the occasional call off like any business. I think I can…read moreremember twice in 20 years having an issue. Once a reschedule because of a call off and once charged a fee for a no show cancelation on my part. Does it rub me the wrong way at the time? Yes but they are running a business so I understand you can't have people canceling all the time or they may lose money. I can only recommend to ask a lot of questions and do your own due diligence as for insurance coverage etc.. you know take some personal accountability. When you solely rely 100% on everyone else something will go wrong eventually. Recently went for a cleaning and needed a cavity filled. Everything was nice and professional from the hygienist Bethanne to Kelcey the assistant and the dentist Christine. I appreciate their camaraderie as teammates and their professionalism at the same time.

Avoid Trailside Dental Care…read more After treatment at this office, I was left in severe pain and repeatedly asked to be evaluated by a dentist but was unable to speak with one. Instead, I was given guidance by staff while dealing with significant pain. I ultimately had to seek emergency care elsewhere, where the problem was properly resolved. In addition, I was told I needed 6-8 fillings and a crown. When I sought a second opinion, I was told that none of that work was necessary and that only one small area needed to be monitored. The difference between those two evaluations was alarming. Recommending large amounts of unnecessary dental work goes beyond poor judgment -- it's unethical. What makes this even more concerning is that the dentist at this office has been suspended by the Ohio State Dental Board and is currently practicing under probation for documented violations involving patient care. This is public information anyone can verify on the Ohio State Dental Board website. Please research carefully before choosing this office. Patients deserve to know this information when choosing a healthcare provider. This review is based on my personal experience and publicly available disciplinary records from the Ohio State Dental Board.
