Receptionist was incredibly rude to me (and my mom separately) on the phone today, which escalated and they lost my business... which they seem not to care about. In short, the receptionist was rude to my mom, I called and she was also rude to me, was irritated with my questions, she yelled at me, therefore antagonizing me, and when I called her out on her behavior and asked to speak to a supervisor, she hung up on me. I drove to complain in person, the manager had no way to verify what happened and it was clear to me they lack employee oversight. She apologized for "how I feel" instead of the girl's behavior while mostly correcting me for losing my temper when I was antagonized. Now, I am reading SEVERAL similar reviews about their front desk. It is a shame because I believe their vets are good ones. This place has no clue the effect mean-spirited employees have on their clients. I was calling about a puppy - we are happy customers with no reason to be upset. This should have been an easy one for them. Honestly, if I am going to be stressed out, my dog will be too. PASS! read more

Last Friday our 16 year old border collie had what seems like a heart attack (after many other old dog ailments) and we had to put her down unexpectedly. I called around to a few places and no one could get her in on short notice or as an emergency, we called riverside and from the moment Shay picked up the phone the riverside staff were the best people in the world to us. We brought our dog down and they did a quick exam affirming that we already knew it was her time. They gave us plenty of time and space to say goodbye to our best friend and were so unbelievably compassionate. At such a hard moment it was so nice to be surrounded by people who not only obviously cared about our dog but also cared about us and how we were feeling and doing. They made sure we understood all the steps and answered all the questions we had. We truly cannot thank Riverside staff enough for the love and support that was in the exam room that day. So far I've taken my German shepherd puppy 2 times here first time was kind of a last minute visit and I appreciate that they where able to squeeze me in on the same day my puppy had runny poop and took her in for tests and a check up and they gave her a dewormer and sent us on our way and we took her for a second appointment and they gave her the first round of shots and more dewormer, so far they have been very helpful and professional and Riverside! read more

We do not take our pets here but have had a flea problem with our indoor cat recently. This led us to call around for solutions, Riverside recommended a product at a decent price, but more than anything it's convenient for us to stop here on our way home. The gal that runs the front desk and is really the only face to the business was helping another customer before us. We got to watch and hear how she treated her as well as two patients. She's very non personal, short and unfriendly. We had to tell her that our pet doesn't go there, it's a great time to act nice and hopefully get a new client but she could care less. Wasn't overly informative about the product we were getting and just "got the job done" taking our money. Today was our second trip to get a bit more product and we got the same service. We certainly won't be taking our pet here. Just a heads up. read more

My family moved to the area when I was 12...I'm now 38 and have my own dog (14 years old)...and Dr.Hart has been the best Vet for both Bear and now Marley. She always shows compassion, great knowledge and skill and all with the warmest of hearts. There is no other Vet for my fury family members. Highly recommend. read more

Coming back from Portland to Seattle, we had a tragedy strike our oldest dog, Surf. We rushed him to Riverside in hopes of saving his life. We were too late. From the time we ran in and were greeted by 2 young tech nurses, and ultimately receiving the bad news from the vet, we were treated with compassion and respect. I don't remember any of their names but we'd like to thank them for their efforts. His photo has and will always remain on my Yelp page and in our hearts. Today we brought our dog in to be put down. I was sorry to have to ask the staff to be respectful and be quiet as I lost my best friend. Have they forgotten why they are there. Poor customer service and very poorbpersonal attitudes. In areas of apologizing the vet if there was an emergency there would be noise. Everybody gets that, but it did not happen and the noise about potato chips and cheap still continued. Bthey don't deserve our trust. read more

We've been customers of Riverside for years but after being treated so poorly by their staff this last week we will be moving on and looking for a new vet. Riverside refered us to a vet in Portland for tumor removal surgery on our GSP's back leg , we had the surgery done in Portland we picked our dog up from the vet office after surgery and needed to make an appointment with our vets office ( Riverside) to have the drain removed after 4 days and got nothing but excuses and attitude from their staff telling us they were to busy to give us an appointment for the drain removal. They told us to just bring him in on Monday and they could try to work us in but it may take awhile as they are very busy, really? Poor customer service to loyal clients! read more

I always call my dogs medicine in in advance,and I always have to wait in the office for over an hour to pay,even if the place is empty! And i have had problems with pricing, it all depends on who's working on how much you get charged, I've actually left and came back when another person was working because the same girl was working who charged me too much before, and have recently seen very unprofessional behavior with my animals treatment, my dog is old and started out with that vet, and I actually have to travel to get him there, so it's no easy task, so you would think some consideration from the staff wouldn't be too much to ask read more

We took our elderly dog to this establishment for blood work, general health check up and possible tooth extraction. We were very concerned about her age and condition and whether or not we should have the tooth work done. The exam went fine, the vet casually mentioned to watch her for congestive heart issues but she would get back to us with the test results. A few days later we get a message from the vets office that all was good, enough to put the dog under to have the teeth worked on, included the price and told us to call back to make an appointment. This was a Friday by Sunday she had passed with congestive heart failure. read more

I wanted to thank Riverside's veterinarians and staff for their kindness and for helping us keep our cats healthy for many years. I don't remember when we started there, but it has been over 25 years. For the last year our two very elderly cats began having some serious health issues. They ran tests and gave us the results with options for treatment. Basically it was all age related and any treatment would be hard on them. without producing quality of life benefit. The staff were kind and caring. When the time came to make the final decisions, they were so compassionate, asking us if my husband or I wanted to hold them in their final moments, and kneeling down to check their hearts. They never rushed or made us feel like we were in the way. They took care of the paperwork in the room and let us out the back door so we didn't have to see others as we left.
