My Mom is a HUGE flowers fan and CONSISTENTLY disappointed wherever she went. She's only got one other place that satisfies her desire for flowers. SHE WAS IMPRESSED the moment she laid her eyes on these. I also have to commend the service. We had Sergio help us, he was funny, kind, and extremely polite. Everything you need from an employee. On top of that, he was very helpful with information in general. Not just about this place. I can't think of a more satisfying stop along a highway. Beautiful flowers, large range of options, and workers that know how to do their job. My Mom will be back, not sure about myself because I'm not into flowers. I also don't have a wife yet.

The Sylvia had dozens of blooms with variations of orange sherbet growing as tall as me. Super prolific with tall single stems, perfect for vases. The Jowey Winnies were my favorite grown this year. The blooms were purple to pink to yellow from the edge of the petal to the center. These produced blooms that changed color shades as the season changed. Pastels in early summer to candy colors through October. The amount of tubers I got from these will let me plant a full perimeter of dahlias next year. I can't wait. Other plants I have gotten there are vine maples and flowering currants. Keep in mind they are a wholesale nursery so that although they are fine with selling retail, the place is not set up like a store, so you should know what you want before going there, and if it's off season, call them first. Check their plant list and if there's something you want to get, call them and see whether they have some. Their plants are excellent and even at retail their prices are excellent also.

It was wonderful to be able to call Big Trees and set a time to see their trees. Daniel took us around and also helped us as we considered several types of trees. We determined that a Somerset Red Maple would be large enough and that it would be relatively easy on yard maintenance. The tour helped us decide that we really needed a tall (30' feet) to enjoy in the next few years. Big Trees was excellent at setting up a date and delivering the tree. It was amazing just to watch the equipment as they dug the hole and planted the tree (see pictures). Now we just need to follow their directions. Felix and the staff planting the tree were easy to work with. They helpled take down and reinstall part of our fence and they cleaned upt he site very well.

I have never had an issue with a sick animal or poor quality here. Because I buy aquatic animals, and don't have the space to quarantine, I need to know that what I am bringing home will be healthy and not spread disease to the rest of their new tank mates. I find that the employees here know what they are talking about when it comes to aquariums. Whether it's animals, plants, or set ups, there is always someone who can answer my questions. They also are very generous in the giving of their time. I brought in 3 water samples to compare two tanks and my straight from the tap water. This can be a time consuming process, but they took the time to help me right away and helped me compare the samples, discussing the set ups and variables. The prices are higher than big chain stores, but lower than some of the other specialty shops I frequent. I would say the extra cost is worth the higher quality.
