The service is quick and friendly and water servers walk around regularly filling your cups to ensure you are never parched. The food is incredible. You can't go wrong with any of the appetizers and after multiple dinners here, the Walleye has to be my favorite entree. It is incredible and easy to devour in on sitting. It's almost like I summoned it from my imagination, because I saw it on the side of the road right around the end of the day when I just needed some place to get a drink and a dessert. I sat at the bar, and the owner, Ben, served me himself! They have a full bar with lots of creative cocktail options, but I opted for wine. Ben happens to have a deep love of wine, and he gave me a couple of sample tastes of some of the special ones he had at the bar. We talked wine for a bit (he personally sources the wine he offers at Hereinafter from all over the world). It was such a nice visit -- just chatting about wine while drinking wine -- and definitely made my night. I like my wine dry, but I like my desserts sweet, so I got the warm peach cobbler. It was served bubbling hot in a little cast iron skillet, topped with a dollop of sweet cream. It was delicious, and it felt ultra decadent to eat while drinking wine. The atmosphere at Hereinafter is classy and cool and modern with a nod to mid-century decor (there's a plastic pink flamingo at the entrance). If you don't want to sit at the bar like I did, there are also booths and tables, so lots of places to sit and enjoy a drink and a meal with friends.
