    Jenny pizza

Great little gem hidden next to the river. The mango wheat my wife had was tasty and I enjoyed the cider. Pizzas were both good as well. Went with the Jenny pizza and not disappointed. Great mix with a non traditional assortment of toppings. Next time we are back in the area we will stop by for sure!

What a great atmosphere! The staff, Laurie, James, and Justin, were fantastic! They make great cocktails, beer, and pizza! We couldn't find an uber and Laurie graciously drove us back to our hotel! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We will be back for sure! Thank you for your kindness and good drinks, food, and fun!

It was my 4th or 5th time here last night (03/08/24) and it's always been great! The pizzas are fresh and delicious, the beer is consistently good, and the service and ambiance is inviting and friendly. The live music on the weekends is always a plus. Additionally, I found out that they have rum nights on Wed and Thursdays - I'll have to check it out! Do I recommend and will I return? Absolutely!

On the way to a family event we stopped in Zanesville overnight and set out to find a good brewery. We found this great spot on the river after exploring a closed road. We had a great seat on the patio overlooking the river and had a very good BBQ Chicken Pizza. Very laid back with a good percentage of regulars to give it that homey feel.

If you're going through Zanesville go to Weasel Boy. It's worth a little trip off the interstate. Probably the best beer in this area of Ohio. Located in a cool old building. There's a nice view of the river from the patio seats. I had the Brown Stoat Stout. It's one of the medium beers. This isn't light but it's not too hoppy. It's pretty easy to drink. They let you have free samples. It's about $5 a pint at happy hour, which is Tuesday to Friday until 7. A lot of seasonal beers are constantly being rotated. There's a large variety of taste. It has lighter ales and lagers like the Ornery Otter. There's also something heavy like the Sour Cherry Stout. It also has some food. Stuff that goes good with a beer like bread and pizza. Location is fun. Maybe not fun to get to. This is on a twisted road by the river along a cliff in one of the more rustic parts of town.

Absolutely the best place to get a craft beer in the City Of Zanesville. I've been here for a long time. Brownstown is my favorite. Come see these lovely people here at Weasel Boy brewery!!

My favorite Zanesville hang. This place is hip and the beer has flavor. The salads are really special and I love the owners!

Ask the Community - Weasel Boy Brewing

    Is it dog friendly?

Local Heatlh Department does not allow animals in our restaurant other than Service Animals. They are however permitted on the patio.

Do I need a reservation for this Saturday evening?

    No you do not

Do they refill growlers? If so, do they only refill their own growlers or can I bring in my own?

We'll fill your growlers no problem. Please have them clean and dry. Cheers.

Can I bring my dog here?

Sorry for the delay in our response and also sorry to say that our local health department will not allow us to have animals in our establishment. We tried to work out a policy with them but they were not receptive.

I was looking forward to trying a couple beers listed on the website, but they were not there. My BLT was delicious, but the "avocado" upcharge was really just an avocado sauce, not real avocado. Most irritating though, the waitress brought us our check while I was only halfway done with my meal - I didn't ask for it and was clearly not ready. My friend commented to her that I still was thinking of getting a boozy milkshake. She didn't get the hint that maybe we weren't ready for the check, and just asks me which one I want. I was planning that as a dessert, so I stared at my half-eaten meal and told her that I'd like to finish my meal first before thinking about that. I haven't felt so rushed in a restaurant a long time. My friend told me that he goes often and had never had that experience before, so we'll try it again - and get a real burger.

I don't get out this way often, but it's been a week since my visit, and I've thought several times about my eventual return.... I really enjoyed this place. It was a sunny Sunday (Father's Day" and I had an hour or two to kill on my way back from someplace and I thought I'd try a new place. It was conveniently located off of I-70 and I had never been in the town of Buckeye Lake before, so I was a bit curious. I was quite pleased when I drove up to see a roadside patio and an open air indoors (large windows that open up) for nice days such as these. Parking was easy to find in back. There's a casual restaurant attached where you can sit in and drink your beer while eating their food, or vice versa: Sit in the brewery and go pick up your food when it's ready. The bartenders were great. There's a water station and clean bathrooms just beside the bar. Ordering my flight was easy, the menu was easy to read and the bartenders were knowledgeable and bonus: seemed happy to be there. The playlist sounded like it was taken from my Spotify playlists! It was like perfect for me. I told a friend afterward about several songs they played, and they were like, did they have access to your data somehow? Like, how did they know to play your favorite songs? So kudoos to whomever curated the playlist on the evening of Father's Day, 2026. It was perfect. I love the feel of the place. Lots of boaters stopping in from the dock across the street after a day at sea and some people just hanging out, chilling. It felt like I was in a resort town in the summertime (maybe I was?). It also appeared family-friendly, which is a selling point to me, but at the same time a comfortable place for adults to do adult things. I look forward to visiting again sometime soon, preferably while the weather is still nice.

Parking is street parking, which is very limited, especially on the weekends. I used to go there regularly when I lived in Marietta, but it had been years since I'd eaten there, and I'd forgotten how good their food is. My sons both ordered the Cuban and fries, and my son's girlfriend had an Alfredo penne pasta with grilled chicken and a salad, which looked delicious! They ordered nachos with beef for the table, which were just okay. Made a quick stop in the ladies restroom, I found it to be nicely decorated, but definitely in need of a cleaning. It wasn't terribly dirty, but they should have someone regularly checking on it, and it looked like it hadn't been checked on for a while. Service was decent. Waitress was busy, but helpful. She wasn't super friendly, but was professional. Prices are on the high end for the area, but portions are adequate. Overall, I enjoy supporting locally owned restaurants, and this one is one of the better options for the area.
