Unless they can figure out a way to truly make it right, I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. We were excited to book their Aspen Meadow Retreat, and secured our July booking on June 1st after scoping out the area for a couple of weeks to find the perfect fit for our group. This is an area that generally books out months in advance in the peak summer and winter seasons, so we were very pleased that it was still available and had everything we needed. Our stay was confirmed and we reached out to our group to finalize plans--- which included family traveling from out of state and another party coming in from out of the country. Not to mention, we also have another family group who planned to celebrate in leavenworth with us, who booked another nearby vacation rental to accomodate their large party. On June 10 (10 Days after our booking was paid for and confirmed), I received an email from Charles (not a call, an EMAIL!) letting me know that there was a "miscommunication" regarding their listing availability and that the house we booked was no longer available. He tried to offer us another one of their listings in its stead, however, that listing was a big downgrade, and didn't at all meet our group needs. I called in to find out what happened and was told by a different colleague/employee that the owners of the house had requested those dates be blocked off for their use, but the request wasn't put into their system, so we were allowed to book it when it really wasn't available. Not only did it take them 10 DAYS to reach out with notice of their mistake, but their system CHARGED us the remaining balance for the booking the day AFTER I received the email from Charles. So we paid IN FULL for a booking, and didn't receive notice that we couldn't stay there until 10 Days after booking it. Here's the kicker-- as I mentioned nice listings in the area book up quickly, all of the other decent options for us in the area(that were available on the day we booked this listing) are NO LONGER AVAILABLE because they have been booked up. IF these guys had their sh*t together, we could have booked another place that would have suited our needs in time, and we wouldn't be in this position. So now, we have a group who has committed to another rental in the area (past the cancellation window) for that weekend, family coming in from out of state AND country, with NO place to stay that will accommodate our needs. With only a month until the intended weekend, turns out that most of the decent places in the ENTIRE state of WA are actually already booked up. After talking to them in person, they "officially" cancelled and refunded our trip, and tried to make amends by offering a 10% discount for a future stay if we wish to visit another weekend. Real cute, but a 10% discount doesn't even BEGIN to rectify the headache this ordeal has caused. Now, here's the coup de grace that really tanks any faith I have in this rental company: after receiving the news that our booked AND PAID FOR vacation rental was no longer available for us to use that weekend, I was FRANTICALLY searching additional rentals in the area so that we can secure something and salvage my husbands birthday weekend.. when what do I see?.. THE SAME HOUSE IS LISTED AS AVAILABLE ON VRBO FOR THOSE EXACT DATES AT A MUCH HIGHER RATE! (see screenshots) At this point I can't tell if these guys are truly this incompetent or if they're just another scam ring trying to bamboozle tourists to extract as much cash as possible. Location and parking couldn't have been better! We had two spaces and a location right in the middle of downtown Leavenworth and above a really cool clothing store, a bakery, and a wine/cigar store. I would definitely recommend unit #31 to anyone looking for a very upscale, comfortable, and super modern place to stay!!! This place had all the comforts of home +more. Price was great and we found it on one of the newer rental sites VXXX. Don't you dare hesitate to book unit $31 if it is available!

Left within 24 hours due to safety and cleanliness concern…read more We ended up leaving this property early due to significant cleanliness and safety concerns and unfortunately did not feel comfortable staying. We had booked a 4 night stay but left before even a full 24 hours. Within the first two hours of arriving we found 7 large spiders inside the home. While I understand that one or two can happen in a natural setting this was excessive and created an environment that felt unsafe especially with a child present. My significant other had to spend that first hour checking beds and areas throughout the home just so we could attempt to settle in. In addition to that there were multiple cleanliness issues that should not have been missed. We found debris including dirt, qtips, a plastic cap, loose bolts and screws, and even popcorn kernels under a beanbag that had clearly not been moved during cleaning. These are not minor oversights and could have been dangerous for a young child. Because of this we lost trust in the overall condition of the home and made the decision to leave early and return home. The host did offer relocation to another property however at that point we were not comfortable moving into another home under the same management and prioritized returning to a space where we felt safe. While a refund was issued for unused nights, additional costs including the cleaning fee, service related fees, taxes, and commission based fees were not reimbursed. Given the condition of the property upon arrival, this was disappointing and did not feel appropriate. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this property to others expecting a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

The kitchen had pots and pans, dishes and silverware but no foil, oil or spatula. Making cooking almost impossible and messy. Fridge was so loud you could hear it rumbling from the bedroom or bathroom. We called maintenance about the fridge and they said someone would come out. Nobody came or called. We were scheduled there for 3 nights. We left after the second night. We will not be using this company ever again. We usually visit Leavenworth each summer and winter. We'll stay elsewhere.

I found Destination Leavenworth on VRBO so be on the look out when booking through them. The first thing that happened was when I was asking them about any COVID restrictions less than a month before our stay and it came up that they had to move us to a new property due to "uncontrollable circumstances". We ended up with a nice property, but it was a little off putting that this issue arose from me asking a question about the property. Who knows if it would have been caught before our stay. As far as the actual stay there were many issues: - Garbage disposal in sink didn't work. - Sprinklers came on numerous times while we were there making it very tough to enjoy the nice yard and getting our stuff wet. - The AC didn't seem to be working properly. - There was a door to one of the bedrooms with a screw in the doorway making it impossible to close the door. Not great for privacy. - Maintenance people came unannounced to check on the hot tub, making it tougher to enjoy the property and have privacy. And It was just unsettling finding a stranger in the back yard of our rental property. All these things on top of poor communication: Their offices were closed on the weekends and they have an app that you can submit a maintenance form for issues, but won't respond until regular hours. And they won't do work at night unless it's an emergency. Which I didn't consider our issues an emergency, but should have been able to be easily addressed. We didn't end up reaching out to them while we where there with any of the issues because we decide we'd rather not have multiple people come out to disturb us. So honestly I can't speak to their response to issues as you stay there, but the way the communication was set up was very very confusing and uninviting. The kicker is really, that I sent them an email after our stay stating all these issues and a follow up email. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. Zero apology. Great way to loose a customer. Destination Leavenworth? More like "Destination Never Gonna use Destination Leavenworth Again".

We paid our deposit and remaining balance on time. 8 days before our stay we get a message that there was a computer glitch and they were canceling our reservations. My brother and his family had already purchased plane tickets and rented a car. This was a celebration for my mom's 70th birthday and I had already bought and paid for a $170 birthday cake from a local bakery. I begged them to please keep my reservations but they did NOT! Even though I had booked this 5 moths in advance they did not care. July 4th is the busiest weekend of the year in Washington State and to find another property for 16 people is almost impossible. This did not deter from the ambiance of either the hotel or Leavenworth itself. The hotel is conveniently located directly across the street from Leavenworths Christmas village. A lovely and charming place to spend a day. All dressed up for Christmas, Leavenworth feels like a visit to Germany without the language barrier or the 14 hour flight. We loved every minute of our stay at the Bavarian Lodge and would definitely return.
