So when we came into the Woodland mall, we were expecting to find no khaki pants but instead we actually found khaki shorts khaki pants jeans jean shorts it was just absolutely amazing. Then we went to hot topic. Hot topic was amazing too. We saw a nice, cute bracelets and fun lug warmers and fun stuff. definitely recommend hot topic for fashion and seeing whatever emo whatever. after that we went we were really hungry so we decided to go to main thia after trying to sample and it was absolutely amazing. Went to the list and they had two toilets! It was so cool so nice a very nice blow dryer and it was right by the kids section. heading to our apartment office cool but ugly cyber truck. Definitely recommend this mall ! Five stars read more

The selection of the store is very vast, as there are so many cute and many popular stores for everyone like Urban Outfitters, Hollister, Spencer's, and even food places like The Cheesecake Factory, and Starbucks. The service there is always very good and the workers are always nice. The value is good, comparing prices to other malls, they are very close and even the same. Overall, this is a nice mall. It has an Apple Store, so you know that it's a quality location. The food court is decent, with some good sushi specials and an Auntie Ann's for snacking. There's a nice sized play area for the kiddos, but just as with other malls, it gets pretty busy, pretty quickly. The prices at stores are comparable with other suburban mall pricing. The highlight for us was riding the electric animals around the mall for $8 for 15 minutes. You should stop in! read more

We tried the Cotton Candy Sweet Party machine at the Woodland Mall today and it was fun! I think it was reasonably priced at $6 and it was fun to watch the machine make the cotton candy. It was delicious and definitely big enough to share. read more

It's good to shop at a non-dying mall as it survives both Rivertown Crossings and online shopping thanks to a high-end store like Von Maur. I'm also surprised that it's one of those malls that still has a GameStop which I never went for a long time before these type of game stores are badly all over the place than just focusing on all things video games. Surprisingly there's a new theatre that took over an old one to fill in the void of the mall and I feel like that I want to go to an Apple store since it's available at the mall. There's only lower than a few empty store that didn't ruin the mall as I was hoping that they're available to open up a Coach, Gap, Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren, and Club Monaco because it could make the mall look even better than ever. The food court has a lot of options from a Starbucks to Italian food to east Asian food to sit down restaurants like The Black Rock and On The Border. I feel like that this mall has a chance to become a great high tier mall when it comes to buying quality goods like clothes, shoes, and fragrances of my most favorite brands. I say this area is a mallrat's paradise If I say so myself and hopefully that they bring in new stuff that gets me interested! read more

Went to FYE and overheard one of the workers rudely complaining about someone having a drink (which was ME). As i was looking one of the workers approached me and gave me a dirty look and said "u can't have a drink in here" basically kicking me out of their store because I had a canned beverage in my hand. After I apologized she gave me a dirty look and walked away back to her coworkers. No where in front of the store did it say "no food or drinks." My friend also tried to pay but was told it was cash only. There also wasn't a sign for that. We will never be coming back. Rude customer service. read more

This mall seems to be in good shape compared to many. Very few empty spots! Bathrooms are clean and very nice. The mall and parking lots are nicely maintained. Security people looked to be customer focused, one guard gave a young boy a badge sticker while he was waiting to get into the bathroom while it was being cleaned. read more

Find good prices, got my eyebrows done definitely recommended the threading place closed to Macys. They have a nice small playhouse in the food court. You can eat while watching the kids. read more

Woodland Mall is a decent sized mall in the Grand Rapids area.  They have lots of stores and a good variety of food options.  I like coming to the Woodland Mall for Legands sports, Hot Topic and the greasy food.  My favorite store, as a nerd and former goth, is obviously Hot Topic.  This mall is kept clean usually but on busy days you can tell they get a little behind because people be crazy.  I'm for sure going to make another trip out here soon. read more

I'm leaving 1 star only been because I don't know if it's an option to leave 0. Just spent 45 minutes filling a cart with items only to be told at checkout I couldn't buy them because I'm not technically on the membership my wife started, because she did it with a friend. I have purchased things multiple times with her card with no issues. This was right after I told a customer that they had something he was looking for and where to find it because both employees didn't know. They didn't offer to set my groceries aside, so my wife could purchase them later, either. Nothing. Awful customer service. Dumb policy. Never again. read more

The Woodland mall is in a great location surrounded by many other place such as The Cheesecake Factory, Red Robin, T.G.I.F. They also have many stores in the mall. Very nice clean well kept mall. The many selection in their food court. My only complaint is that some of the stores that I walked into that are NOT busy never got greeted once or asked if I needed any help. I haven't checked out the food court yet, but I have visited the Starbucks and Auntie Anne's inside the mall. Woodland Shopping Center is in the perfect location on 28th Street. You have every option of restaurants nearby in case you get hungry (or grab a snack at the newly opened Grand Rapids's first Trader Joe's). The mall has a Starbucks in the center with four wings branching out from there with any shop you can imagine including a movie theater, H & M, and a food court. It's usually clean and the staff are helpful. If you're from an urban center or one of the coasts of the USA, keep in mind two things: 1) Things are cheaper in Michigan so use that to your advantage, and 2) The style in Michigan is a few years behind the rest of the US so keep that in mind as you shop. read more

In a time where malls are dying and the pandemic is shutting down businesses left and right, I was surprised this relatively small collection of stores was pretty busy. Looking at the selection, I'm a little less shocked how well they are doing. They have a Cheesecake Factory, REI, and LUSH; that is already all I need. The one downside was that their directory online was out of date and I was looking all over for the Totally Tea. Eh, it's a mall. If you're into that sort of thing, you might enjoy this one. If you hate shopping but find yourself occasionally forced to buy crap, you may end up here. You may even find what you are looking for. It has your standard mall stuff: food court, Radio Shack, department stores (Macy's, JC Penny, Sears, etc.), Barnes and Noble, Body Shop, Express, Pac Sun, Victoria's Secret, Apple Store, Starbucks kiosk, and so on and so forth. The only thing perhaps worth noting is the giant plastic food shaped climbing things play area. Overall, a very nice mall. The location at 28th and Beltline is pretty convenient, and there are parking lots surrounding the mall itself. There is a good mix of stores inside, and while the food court is not impressive, there are a few nice restaurants attached or close by, including Bar Louie. It is consistently well-kept and clean. Not as up-scale or large as many other malls (like the Somerset collection in Troy, for example), but a good place to shop nonetheless. read more

Went to woodland with my husband and did some shopping at "Charlotte russe" and "Lids' great time and great service. We then went to the Food court, went to "Subway" they didnt have enough meatballs for two subs, while we were deciding what we would get instead. The guy started waiting on someone else and was very rude. We then went down to the Chinese Restaurant at the end near the door and they were also VERY rude and would not allow me to have my sweet and sour chicken in a separate container! Really, how much can one container cost? It cost them a customer! Meantime a cleaning lady walks by with her cart and my husband ask if he can put his empty cup in her trash bag and she gets an attitude! l have lived here in my life and love the mall but the Food Court service, IS AWFUL! read more

Woodland Mall has a good mix of stores with something for just about everyone. The mall is basically shaped like a letter t with Macy's, JC Penny and Sears as it's anchor stores. It is very clean and has lots of natural light inside and plenty of parking outside. While it's no Somerset Collection, this mall has all of the usual suspects, Apple, Finish Line, Foot Locker, Forever 21, H&M, J Crew, Jimmy Jazz, Pandora, The Art of Shaving, The North Face, Victoria's Secret and many more. The food court has a good bit of variety as well. There is also a Bar Louie and a Red Robin if you can't find anything in the food court that wets your appetite. There is even a Barnes & Noble bookstore and a small movie theater inside. While not as big as some of the malls back home in Pittsburgh, Woodland is still worth a trip. read more

As much as I can't stand malls (I know I'm part of the problem killing malls across the country, but I prefer shopping online these days), I actually enjoy coming to Woodland because it has everything I like in one place. My teen years long behind me, I rarely come to hang at the mall, and I rarely go to more than one store at a time. But the convenience of having all the cool kids in one place isn't lost on me. Once upon a time, this seemed like the dumpier of the malls in GR, especially compared to the shiny new Rivertown Mall down on the south side. But things have changed, and the mall is now bright, shiny and full of people. I love that there are plentiful dining options, tho all chain-based establishments. Plus there's a bookstore, so even if shopping isn't your thing, you can kill hours of time in there. Shopping is life for my MIL, so I usually visit the mall a few times a year. She and my wife take their time and I walk around aimless for a bit. But I'm usually entertained by checking out the crowd in the Apple Store, grabbing an Orange Julius or popping into GNC to see what useless supplements people spend their money on. Although this is the mall closest to my home I refuse to step foot in it as long as they continue to allow the Barking Boutique to do business in their facility. These businesses get their puppies from puppy mills that are notorious for cruel and inhumane treatment of animals. If I could give a - star I would. As a shopper, I will not be stepping foot into Woodland until they realize the mistake they made leasing out a space to Barking Boutique.. I had to witness the store myself, and it was heartless. Puppies alone and scared in glass cages, only a small blanket for there security. No water bowls. This is abuse. Sadly Limited was my favorite store. Due to the malls horrendous mistake, I will be getting my clothes from another non Woodland mall store. read more

Oh, my poor Woodland Mall! How they mutilated you in your remodel! Woodland Mall once had many fountains lining the middle of the mall. They would trickle and gave a great ambiance to the mall. Very relaxing. They're all gone now. After a remodel in the early 2000's, it's almost as if the mall was hollowed out to make room for useless tooth whitening booths and sunglass vendors. Woodland has a pretty fantastic food court, a nearby Celebration Cinema theatre and Red Robin restaurant. This mall still has a great selection of stores and houses the area's only Apple Store. But it's a shadow of it's former glory. read more

Woodland Mall, along with Centerpoint Mall (formerly Eastbrook) are two GR staples. As a student at Calvin, we sometimes headed over on foot to do a little shopping or catch a bite to eat in the early 80's. Over the years, the mall has been updated to include an expanded food court, a movie theater and some newer restaurants in the out lots. It remains the sole location for the only Apple store outlet in town. You will find the standard fare in terms of anchors...Sears, JC Penny, Macy's - as well as a fairly eclectic selection of stores including Pottery Barn, Chicos, Forever 21, Charlotte Ruse & Williams Sonoma. As a book lover, I like the addition of the new Barnes & Nobles bookstore and also the Coldwater Creek store for business wear. The adjacent movie theater can be a great spot for an inexpensive date night featuring movies that have finished their first run and a good selection of Independent movies. read more

Out of all the malls in the GR Metro, this is still my favorite. The wide open walking lanes, lots of lighting, and overall cleanliness of this mall make for a great shopping experience. The addition of the theatre and two exterior restaurants has added to the overall value of the property. Food court here is pretty descent, but I prefer to eat at Red Robin while I'm here. read more

This is my go to mall in GR. Not as big nor as crowded as Rivertown Crossings, & prices are more competitive here than Rivertown. Woodland doesn't have all of the trendiest shops but offers a good, well rounded shopping experience instead. Don't listen to Toasty R she is an angry SJW. I have never had any problems with racist management in all my years patronizing the Woodland mall. Even in 2017. read more
