It is extremely narrow and if you are tall or a plus size person it will be uncomfortable. There is very little room between the toilet and wall or the bathtub and the wall. If you stay in the cabins there is no view but did feel like it was private. Bringing in an expert for space management and a refresh look would definitely not hurt. Here are the positives! First and foremost the staff is excellent. We encountered several employees and each and every one that helped us were all extremely kind. We have stayed at a total of 8 hotels this trip and they were by far the most friendly and welcoming staff that we came in contact with. The location is absolutely excellent for going to the Locks and going to the local shops. It was great to be able to go across the street to freshen up before a meal or in between tours. Our son had just bought an expensive mattress and went in with flashlights to look for bed bugs and none were to be found and trust me he went down to the mattresses, looked into the corners and under the mattresses as well. A couple of not unexpected moisture bugs were found later in the evening but again this is a cabin lodge type of location near the water. The room was clean and definitely as clean as several others that we stayed at. We stayed two nights but had breakfast only one day at the motel. I definitely regretted not just having breakfast there both days. The food was fresh and for the most part traditional hotel breakfast foods with a fabulous breakfast employee who could not help a person enough.

Lockview was pet friendly, and had a $30 charge for pet cleaning- totally fair. Ultimately, I ended up travelling alone, and the staff removed the pet fee and had my room ready early for check in. The staff is GREAT. It's an older but updated property, and I was able to stay in one of the connected cabins- really cool. Parking was parallel to the door, so close parking was like... 5 feet away from my driver's side door. Push button electronic locks with daily rotating codes- it felt very safe. The cabin was nice and clean, smelled clean, and the furnishings were nice. No caroet, which I prefer- vinyl plank. I enjoyed the round coffee table and the barrel chairs. Made it nice to get some work done not having to sit on a bed, (which would not have been ideal at all since they are raised) at a desk, or in a wingback with no matching height table. Water was hot, TV was great, and the only hiccup was a bad TV HDMI cable which maintenance fixed with a new one in under 15 minutes. Really happy with my stay here, would definitely stay again!

We stayed in the big house on the water, it looked beautiful on the outside but once inside the nightmare began.The house was dirty upon arrival, trash under some beds, dust everywhere, on lamps, railings, stands. Sinks not attached to the wall, sinks not draining, broken toilet, MOLD in the master shower. Outlets not working, wifi only reached the floor it was on and was spotty. No curtains in bedrooms or bathrooms, except the bedroom with MOLD on both of the windows and window sills. Mold and what lookes like food waste under the crisper in the refrigerator. The oven hasn't been cleaned in what looks like forever, oil stains and food particles covering the entirety of every surface in the oven. Friends and family staying in the smaller cabins were horrified with their condition, bathrooms, propain, and doors not working. After all of that the new owners will demand that you pay a $250 cleaning fee.

I had a Pullar burger with a couple of beers (no craft beers here) and cheered loudly and proudly for the home team. Grab a burger and a beverage, sit on the wood bleacher seats and enjoy the game. Take a walk through the building during intermission (between periods) or watch the entertainment and Zamboni machine. You can get tickets at the entrance. Lots of parking on the street or in parking lots of adjacent businesses not open at night. People are friendly and you can have some great old-fashioned fun watching some great minor league hockey!

We have previously have stayed in rooms 15 and 16 (2021). Room 15 is bigger than room 16. Rooms are clean but well worn; only negative was lack of available sockets (only one unused socket and it was not near bathroom). Would definitely stay here again.

There are big are signs in the room prohibiting cigarette and marijuana smoking but the sign was as far as staff goes to stopping the problem. -The room was pretty run down (tape holding up ceiling tiles, outlets that didn't work, etc.) It is what it is. It's cheap and it's clean so the downsides were kind of acceptable.

Lots of benches to just sit and chill. Places to fish along the bank, as well as a little fishing pier. During the winter months the snow is not cleaned up on the road or benches; you are on your own. People still crive into the park so it is accessible by vehicle or you can walk in (it's not that big). Bring something to sit on if the benches might be wet or snow covered. Parking in the park is available, or you can park in the lot just outside the park and walking. Dogs are welcome, but should be leashed if there are oter folks in the park. During the really cold months, and bad weather your pup can run free as the park tends to be relatively empty. Poop bags for your do are available at the entrance / exit. Please cleanup after your dog. Don't miss Rotary Park if you're in the Soo.
