The red panda was unfortunately not out much and the glass was too reflective to see it well. Admission is a bit high for the size of the zoo, but they have deal days (ex free for Father's on Father's Day). There's several paid attractions like a zoo train, camel rides and animal encounters. They also have some good discount coupons for nearby attractions in the rack outside the gift shop.

Everyone we encountered was great, except for two... Despite two out of the three attendants being sullen and seemingly not enjoying their jobs, the granddaughter loved the rides she took on the camel and the pony.

Definitely best way to beat the crowds and relax at a quieter campground before the hype of the school year starts up. While the sites look and feel the same as the ones at Devil's Lake, there are far fewer sites and it is much more peaceful. The sites themselves are really well kept. Our little site was still able to fit three cars in the driveway, two full tents and a sunshade.The campground features a massive field, covered family Pavillion and little playground. Really nice way to burn off some energy away from the sites if you're not hiking or sit and have lunch at one if the many picnic tables. Two grills available as well. You can't get better camping showers than I've experienced outside of Mirror Lake! They're all private entrances and have a seperate area behind a partition to put your bag/towel/clothes with a bench. Great hot water and pressure. Seperate bathroom area that is extremely well maintained too. Huge plus! While there aren't a lot of trails, the hiking isn't at all strenuous and has beautiful views of the rock formations along the way. Sturdy walking shoes still required. Personally I wouldn't swim in the water as its a little murkier, although it is so lovely to venture around. You're able to rent kayaks for the best experiences it seems so we'll be doing that next year! I highly recommend taking a break from life at Mirror Lake for camping and relaxed hiking! I'm always an ever a fan of an expanse of green in any city or town…read more Lately, it feels like every time we travel, we seek out a park in which to picnic. Turns out, I'm a bit of a Yogi Bear at heart (Hey Boo Boo...let's go get us a pic-a-nic basket). Only, unlike that thievin' bear, I bring my own bountiful basket. So, while cruising around the Dells, I thought--why not have a picnic in a park. Enter Bowman Park. It's a great park to enjoy a picnic. They have a few picnic tables scattered here and there as well as plenty of shade--so, perfect for picnicking! Beyond that, there's a large field near their bandshell/pavilion that is plenty big for sports (and indeed, while we were there, there was a group of guys playing a casual game of football). The field is sort of sunken, so that if there were a concert going on that brought a good sized crowd, you could get a spot on the berm above and still have a great view of the band. The don't allow pets of any sort (leashed or unleashed) in the park, which was a bummer as we had our dog (it wasn't hot, so she was able to hang in the car with the windows down, but she would have much rather rolled around on the lawn). Other than that? A great little park, conveniently located to many walkable restaurants and shops. Get to it!

As forty year old adults, my husband and I found the course exhausting, but doable. We were there almost two hours playing and having fun. Kelly was a great host as well as all the international staff there. They really made us laugh. Definitely not to miss!

if yall are ever in Wisconsin, DO NOT GO HORSE BACK RIDING AT BEAVER SPRINGS! they do not take care…read moreof their horses, they're untrained and do not listen to any commands. They also REFUSED to let me off the horse after it kicked another horse and refused to slow down. They overcharge you for a "3.1% service fee" but I was charged $29 on a $70 bill making it $99. And when I tell you cages were full of horse shit, the horses were so dirty my hand was BLACK after touching them for two minutes. When I asked to get off she acted like I was tripping even though my horse was RAMMING into her horse from behind.
