I love going to this place, but on weekends it can get pretty busy and boat parking is scarce. It's dog friendly, so it is great to boat up with the pooch and grab dinner. The last time we were there they even brought out bacon for my dog! Boat parking isn't great on a busy river day since the parking is on the outside and boat wakes can really beat up your boat.... make sure to have plenty of buoys. One of my favorite places for so many years. Everyone I've ever taken here (most recently my son) loves it. The food is oh so good and the view is even better. It's a barge right on the river! He comes to this area often with friends, and they've been looking for a good dining venue. He was on the phone sharing this discovery before we even left. My son and I split a very delicious shrimp cocktail, he had fries and seafood, and I had a BLT. Wine made it the perfect lunch. It's a short walk down to the river, and up hill after your meal. My wife and I have been to Riverwatch many times over about 10 years. I felt the need to leave a review because it's not rated very well on Yelp. I think that's a mistake. What draws us here is the exceptional seafood they offer. It's surprisingly good given the look and location. They offer some of the best shrimp cocktail we've ever tried and while they don't yet have grouper this season, they will and it's quite delicious. Instead, we had the walleye. I had mine blackened. Delicious!!! The reason I don't give it a 5 star review, is more about the infrastructure of the barge it's on; it's quite worn, and the sides are nothing extraordinary. Overcooked green beans aren't my thing and the baked potato is well, a baked potato. We come here for the seafood and it's marvelous. I would highly recommend it just for that reason and on a nice day, it's great sitting outside on the river. Enjoy. read more

A busy Wednesday night and was able to get a table for 10 as Nicky the hostes was very helpful in getting us seated in minutes. Highly recommend the funny and very attentive staff. Love the atmosphere of this place! You can enjoy the nice breeze while listening to your favorite island tunes. Food is pretty good and you can't beat the prices! I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and my dad had the fish and chips. This is what he ordered last time he was here so it must be pretty darn good! The chicken sandwich was good, but the sweet potato fries were AMAZING! The fries were topped with just a little bit of sugar and came with this brown sugar sauce for dipping...WOW, so good. I could have ate a whole basket of those fries with the sauce. Parking is available right outside of the restaurant, at the top of the hill. They have golf cart drivers to give you a lift down if you don't want to walk down the hill (it's a little steep). read more

This was a nice little restaurant. We went to the casino thinking there were restaurants there but it was mainly just fast food so I pulled up yelp and found this. It was a quaint little seafood place right on the river. The food was good I had the lobster roll , my husband got the catfish I had a taste and I have to say that that was the best catfish I ever had. I made the wrong choice. The service was good. This was my first visit to one of my favourite summertime restaurants this season. I was initially worried they had gotten rid of some of my favourite dishes but apparently those are on the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu which was what was being served during my visit. In any case we started with a very unique appetizer called the Lattitude's Lobster Sliders. It came with a lobster salad type of meat along with a piece of lettuce which I removed because I'm not a lettuce guy. The lobster meat blend was very tasty and had awesome flavour and made for a very good slider. For my main course I went with the Texas Burger which came with bbq sauce, hickory smoked bacon, American cheese, and topped with an onion ring (the base sandwich also comes with tomato and lettuce which I had left off.) The meat was ultra high quality which really makes it great. The bbq sauce was a sweet version kinda like Sweet Baby Ray's although they were a little skimpy with it. Bacon is always welcome on my burger as is American Cheese. The onion ring was fine I guess but didn't really add or subtract anything to me. I kinda think restaurants are kind of overdoing onion rings/straws on bbq burgers but that's every restaurant not just this one. Just a personal opinion anyway. I do recommend this burger but I would ask for an extra side of bbq sauce if I were to get this again. Also definitely try those Lobster Sliders too. When I hear about dining on a barge along the Ohio river, I envision overpriced and sub-par quality food just to offset the Idealic locale, but this place is no slouch when it comes to fresh seafood and top-quality food in general. As the name suggests, RiverWatch has prime real estate in Lawrenceburg along the Ohio River and just like the name suggests you'll enjoy fabulous views of the river. On this occasion we got to witness the American Dream steamboat float pass (largest in the world). But enough about the river, this restaurant boasts delectable cocktails and also offers a fresh catch of the day. The fish tacos are filled with crunchy yet juicy pieces of fried cod accompanied with a salsa that pairs perfectly with the light fish. And you MUST try their sweet potato fries. They're served with a melted cinnamon butter for dipping or drizzle that reminds you of days stuck at home from school out sick watching the "Price is Right". Or maybe that's just my nostalgia. If you are looking for fancy, this isn't it. If you are looking for "beach side" vibes much like Put in Bay or Key West, this is it. This was the second time we have been here and the first time was over 5 years ago. Not sure why we waited so long. AMBIANCE: Beach bar vibe. Not at all fancy. I can definitely see things they could do to improve ( Move full trash cans away from hostess stand so it's not the first thing you see, Paint tables,etc), but overall it was great. SERVICE: This had me worried at first because we ordered a Sprite and two beers and it took about 15 minutes to get drinks and they really weren't that busy. BUT, after the drinks everything else came out quickly FOOD: We had pretzel and cheese app. It was shockingly good most pretzels are obviously chewy and kind of bland. This had the pretzel outside but inside was croissant consistency. Very good. Our son got Big Kahuna Cod and we got Mahi. All meals come with potato, green beans, and salad. The fish was EXCELLENT. Honestly it was better than the last time we went to Bonefish where the fish was small and dry. Nice grilled flavor on Mahi. Big piece of cod. The beans and potato were scary. The beans are obviously straight from a can and the potato looked steamed instead of baked. But, very surprisingly, both were good. The beans were well seasoned and not bland at all. The potato was good also. I typically hate boiled or steamed potatoes. OVERALL: I highly recommend. If you don't go in with expectations of a beach bar/grill everything was great. This resturant takes a little effort to get to but worth it. We parked in the public parking garage across the street from the Double Tree Hotel. Then you walk towards the clock and gate that is open on the berm. Easiest way is to walk through the open gate and then down the sidewalk to the resturant which is floating on the river. We were quickly seated and greeted by our server, Tiffanie. Since it was our first time, she gave us the suggestion of the fish and chips. My husband went with her suggestion and he was pleased with his meal. I picked the fried shrimp basket and it came with chips. We each ordered tea and it was fresh and cold which was refreshing. We opted to sit out on the deck and there was a nice breeze that made it tolerable considering it was close to 4:00 p.m. This resturant even has a dock if you opt to motor up and tie off for your meal. Came to Lawrenceburg for a work trip and wanted a place to dine that was convenient to get to. This is conveniently located right down the hill from the Double Tree by Hilton. It's a cute boat looking restaurant that has both indoor and outdoor seating available. The outdoor seating is covered so if it's raining you won't get wet. The outdoor seating is also great when the weather is nice! You have the nice breeze from the water and get to watch the boaters going by as well as the ducks that other patrons like to feed. The wait staff is friendly! They have strict laws around alcohol here as well (the state) where minors cannot even pick up a cup that has had alcohol. Didn't know this until the first night of our visit and the minors working the hostess stand said they had to wait for someone else to clean off a table because it had glasses that had alcohol. I came here the past 4 days of my visit and the first night I ordered the scallops (pan seared) and it came with green beans and a baked potato and salad. The 2nd visit I ordered the fried shrimp which also came with the baked potato and I opted against the green beans. The scallops were good, nice a soft and juicy. They were a bit watery so I think if I do order again I'll get blackened which is how the menu recommended them. The fried shrimp were good also, the cocktail sauce was really good -- you get a lot of food for the cost and the seafood is fresh. 3rd night I ordered the crab cakes with baked potato and again opted for no green beans. Crab cakes were delicious! No breading and just purely meat. The taste was just great -- would've liked them to be bigger because although I'm a light eater it didn't quite fill me up. 4th night I ordered the fried shrimp again but this time I got the basket with sliced tomato rather than chips. I think the fried shrimp and crab cakes are by far my favorite after coming here for 4 days in a row. The cocktail sauce is out of this world amazing and the shrimp was just lightly breaded and not greasy. All fried food here is 0 trans fat. Since my last night in town I decided to splurge and got a patron margarita and cheesecake on a stick. The cheesecake on a stick is basically sliced cheesecake that's dipped in dark chocolate. Both great but WOW how I wish I would've ordered the cheesecake every night I came here. The absolute best cheesecake I've ever had--brings me back to my childhood when my mom would order a cheesecake and put it in the freezer! The taste is just perfect! I actually preferred it without the chocolate so I ended up scraping it off and just eating the cheesecake!! Bragged about it to the waitress and inquired as to where they get it from. The owner, Executive Chef Mike came out and came by our tables chatting for a very long time. The cheesecake is delivered fresh from Gary's Cheesecake and all the seafood is freshly delivered. He orders 2 days out! Very nice man and the restaurant is family owned. This is definitely a very small town but if you're in the area and looking for a place to eat I recommend coming here. Keep in mind that they close for the Winter season -- closed beginning September 28th through mid-April. They open just in time for the yearly KY derby and hold a kickoff. Great place. read more

My wife and I were given a gift card, and chose a day with great weather to use it. The Mahi fingers appetizer had almost no flavoring to it, although the Tartar dip did help. I ordered the scallops, after reading bad reviews on here, about the crab cakes I wanted. My meal was priced at $21.99. I was more than a little surprised to see three (3) scallops on my plate. They were ok, but that minuscule portion was ridiculous. My wife's coconut shrimp was decent. It was nice to sip a beer on the river, but I'll find a different spot for that, next time. read more
