Summary: Lunch portions are larger and better tasting than many other Mexican places. We had eight in our party and despite the large group received exceptional service from Ricardo. Complementary mild salsa (with plenty of cilantro) and crispy chips were the best. Guacamole was fresh and had a nice balance of red onion, cilantro, and a touch of lime. Queso was creamy and paired well with the chips. With a variety of entrees there were no failures. The only complaints were the large portions. The place still looked uniquely awesome and they took great care in keeping things clean and seemed to be doing all the right things in regards to safety. As usual we started off with their Chori-Queso which is always a good idea and was once again. Great combination of cheese, chorizo, and other delicious stuff served with a few flour tortillas. A fantastic start to any meal. For my main course I tried the Seafood Chimichanga. With their Seafood Burrito being one of my favourite dishes I was excited about this and it definitely lived up to my lofty expectations. They loaded it with lots of crab and shrimp and they fried the tamales absolutely perfectly. Scrumptious seafood in every bite and the Mexican rice was very good and definitely a worthy side dish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but I wouldn't be afraid to try any item from their huge menu. I start every meal with complementary chips and salsa. They have a mild salsa, but I prefer the picante. It always tastes fresh and it's loaded with onions and cilantro. I'm not usually keen on raw onions, but in this salsa it's perfect. I order the steak fajitas or chicken chimichanga and they were cooked to perfection. I order the steak bien cocido which is well done. The onions are caramelized and the other vegetables are just the way I like them. Even the chicken soup is outstanding. Overall, I would highly recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. This place is great. Absolutely wonderful. I was in a group of 15 at 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday night, and they were able to accomodate us right away. We were sat in a comfy area, and given a waiter who was AMAZING. This guy paid attention. He got us drinks on time, and chips, and our food came fast! Our waiter joked around with us, and was a great guy. He made the experience wonderful. The food was solid. It tasted like typical American-Mexican food that you would find in a small town. Parking is in the parking lot, or the street parking. There is plenty so do not worry. You can enter from either side of the building and end up in the middle to get seated. I ordered a ground beef burrito. Surprisingly it only had ground beef in it and it was covered in their queso sauce. I got it A-la-carte so maybe I missed the queso sauce part on the menu. Queso gets a thumbs up as well the only thing that keeps me from giving them a a full 5 stars is the salsa. The salsa is just ok, which is sad because it's an important part of the meal and overall experience. The service has always been solid and the prices are fair. It's a little place off the beaten path - nothing too fancy to look at on the outside, but it's legit and clean on the inside. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The service here was terrible. Not only did we have to ask multiple times for refills or salsa and wait forever to get it, but also the server was incredibly rude. He continuously gave smart remarks anytime anything was asked about the menu or more salsa was requested. From the start they treated our party as an inconvenience. Our party continuously said please and thank you and was only met with sarcasm and rude comments. When the manager asked us how everything was we let them know we were not happy with our server and the way we were being treated. He then only said sorry and walked off. Went here with family yesterday. Make sure you keep your receipt because they will try to say you didn't pay. That happened to us. They came out to look for me. Found my daughters and told them I didn't pay. Luckily, I had to come back to give daughter something I forgot to give her. Otherwise, one of them would have paid my bill again. I went in to show them our receipt. Needless to say I was a bit irritated. Ask them to show me the signed receipt and it was in the cash drawer. So make sure you keep your receipt as prof of payment. I got the seafood Acapulco and it was just frozen vegetables thawed on a plate with a dry piece of tilapia and a few grilled shrimp on top and the whole thing covered in cheese. The margarita was straight up tequila with a splash of lime for color. The worst part is everything, including our appetizers and the other meals at the table were incredibly salty, like borderline inedible. It also cost close to $60 for three people. This restaurant is exactly what you would expect from an American Mexican restaurant. Except the price. My wife and I went and ended up spending $30 for some cheese dip, a soda, and two combo entrees. The sauce was from a can, the meat was unseasoned, and the tamale was more masa than filling.
