This was a restaurant in Crescent Springs that I had seen for years but never tried until this occasion. It's a little bit on the higher end side as far as cost goes but that's to be expected with seafood and was fair market for what it was. I went with one of the with scallops, potatoes, and corn all in a very spicy sauce. It was super delicious and definitely got my attention on the spice front which is not an easy task. We shared some of the other combos around the table with the lobster being particularly memorable for me as being delicious. The service was top notch and the restaurant looked very nice. Absolutely love this place, seafood is always fresh from lobster, crab legs, shrimp to their fried offerings (how they offer their fried pick two for $14 is beyond me!) ample seating options as this used to be an Outback Steakhouse! Servers are always on their stuff and service is always quick! Every time we go in there's only a handful of families with us. I love seafood, and I think this place does a really good job of preparing it. I like to come here for the seafood boil because the flavors are delicious, and you can add whatever you'd like! I like to get all the seasonings and add the super spicy flavor, but personally I don't think the spice level is as extreme as the menu claims it to be. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the service is fast! There is ample seating, and the restaurant itself is pretty clean. Plus, given the fact that they feature seafood boils, this was a fun meal to come together over as well. Our waitress kept all of our individual orders straight, and my husband and I ordered Combo #1 ($52) to split, which included 1 lb. of snow crab legs, 1 lb. of headless shrimp, 2 corn, 2 potatoes and 5 slices of sausage. Wow, was this a lunch! Covered in garlic, this boil was more than enough for the both of us. The shrimp were large, and the crab legs were flavorful. If you ordered a boil with spice, be prepared for some heat. Even at a low spice level, it had a bit of a bite. Cincy Seafood also has some kids meals, which were great for my son, as well as the crayons for drawing on the paper tablecloth. Neither of us were from the area and I was happy to find a seafood boil spot less than 10min from my hotel (very close to the Cincinnati/Kentucky airport- CVG)! This is the 4th time we have been here and each time it has gotten worse. We ordered 2 appetizers while we were deciding what we wanted for our meals. They both came out cold, felt and tasted like they had been sitting under a lamp for a while. We sent them back and when the news ones came out they were warmer but still not very good. Then we sat for over 45 minutes waiting on our meal. When it did come out the waitress said they had a large group and they were concerned with them. My wife had order a steak , which came out cold like it had been sitting a while. She also asked for a steak knife which took over 15 minutes get. The potatoes were hard, cold and tasted old. No concern for the issue of the cold steak and pretty much left us alone until we asked for boxes and to drop the check off. I have heard lots of good things about this place and just had to check it out for myself. I surprised my girlfriend by coming to this place. We both love seafood so we both had high expectations. It did not disappoint. If you have ever been to a crawfish boil before it is similar to eating the seafood. You throw all the seafood into a bowl on the table and dig in using your hands. They give you a bib and some plastic gloves if you are one to not want to get your hands dirty during your meal. The beer choices are limited to domestic only which is surprising since we have so many good craft beer choices. The wine list was also small. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable when it came to questions about the seafood. She stated that they get all the seafood daily which is good as it all tasted fresh! They have plenty of options for seafood, you could get a pound of it or half pound depending on what you like. You get to chose how much spice is on the seafood and what is thrown on it like Cajun seasoning, garlic butter, lemon spice or mixing them all together. Our server stated you could mix them all or choose two of them to put together and you could mix them up by the pound to try different things. If you are a Seafood lover you should give this place a try! It was a 25 minute drive and well worth it. Kind of a weird joint. The waitress had no idea how to answer our questions. We really didn't know what we were getting. I have a garlic intolerance so I stayed away from the garlic seasoned and picked lemon pepper. It came out and everything in the plastic bag was covered in visible minced garlic. We were two for lunch today--and had the place to ourselves. I was concerned at first because it didn't seem like a good sign. We were greeted promptly and seated at a table. There are plenty of booths and tables with lots of space between them. Decor is a southern oyster house vibe which we liked. We started with the oysters on the half shell--a dozen for $36. The server asked all the right questions about the sauce and crackers. The oysters were perfectly shucked and truly the best I have had outside of the Gulf--plump and sweet. Lunch was fried shrimp baskets with fries and Cole slaw. The shrimp was butterflied and breaded and not greasy at all. The slaw was excellent creamy Southern style. The fries were fresh and hot. The server was attentive without hovering and the food arrived promptly. There is plenty of parking available and a nice bar area with table service. Took my daughter last night because she wanted Crab Legs. Honestly, I think my 4 year old daughter could have done a better job at cooking them. Good God... I'm typically loyal to K&Js in Clifton, but they're closed on Mondays. I will never stray again. The food was nice and hot when I picked it up but they overcooked the absolute hell out of the crab and shrimp. The crab meat wasn't tender, had turned brown on the outsides and I could crack the claw open with my hand. We chose the garlic butter flavor and the crab was covered in massive hunks of garlic. I mean, I love garlic, but yikes. The meat inside had no flavor at all. While the flavor of the cajun shrimp was relatively good they were rubbery.
