The service was beyond amazing, our server was always there when we needed her and she check on us a lot but not overkill. All three bartenders were incredibly nice, made me a strong Bloody Mary and made sure to check in instead of leave their patrons hanging at the bar. My Bloody Mary and drink suggestions from both ladies were on point. The ambiance of this place is biker bar like, but not a dive bar. Plenty of TV's to watch games such as the World Cup elimination game I saw between Argentina and Cape Verde. We stopped in for a bite to eat on our second night in Tampa because this was across the parking lot from our hotel room. Riveters did not disappoint. The place was busy but not crowded, so we were seated right away and the service was excellent. The seating is spaced out enough that you aren't crowded even though the space is a bit compact. The restaurant includes a full bar and multiple TVs to watch the games. We started with the giant pretzel and it certainly was. Moist with an appropriate amount of salt and came with beer cheese for dipping. There was enough for the pretzel with some left over for the fries. My wife also had a margarita while waiting for our food and it was pretty good - good flavor and not too weak or too strong. For my dinner, I ordered the Bomber Burger with fries. The fries were delicious, and arrived hot. The burger was cooked to order with some pink. Juicy and delicious and covered with a fair amount of bacon and onion straws. I am a self-proclaimed burger connoisseur and this one did not disappoint. I wish this restaurant was in my hometown because I would definitely eat here often. Two small things for those with small children. It did not bother my children, but felt like it should be known just in case. The wings themselves with just the dry rub were good. They were definitely the best part of the meal and if we came back we would all get their wings as a meal. I ordered the Prime Rib sandwich and Truffle fries. The prime rib sandwich was just ok. For the amount of butter and seasoning on the bun I expected more flavor. The horseradish sauce tasted almost sweet and not as tangy as I expected. The prime rib itself was very thin and done to a crisp on the edges, borderline on too done. The truffle fries were definitely garlic fries, not truffle fries. My husband had the Bomber burger. He said the barbecue sauce tasted like a sweet ketchup. He said it was a decent burger but not something he'd order again. He got the garlic mashers and those were good. We came in after attending a game at Raymond James stadium. We put our name on the list and went to the bar until a table was available. It didn't take long until we were called. Our waitress Hallie was lovely. We had the poutine first which was delicious highly recommend. Rivers is a good sports bar with mini TVs. Don't let it intimidate you because it's next to Odyssey 2001 and the spaceship! Burgers and chicken sandwiches are good. I've had the wings before and they are tasty! The season fries, though or something different and unique. Have a pretty decent size bar, and an inside and outside section. This place is a nice alternative to the ale house or the brick house. It definitely way better than the crappy Kers Wng House that should be closed! read more
