I ordered the Triple Play Cheeseburger and it was everything you want in a burger: juicy, stacked, cheesy, messy in the best way, and packed with flavor in every bite. Definitely one of those burgers that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate it. My boyfriend went for the Philly Cheesesteak -- loaded with ribeye, melted provolone, onions, and peppers on soft bread -- and it was rich, savory, and ridiculously satisfying. We paired it with some cold beer and it hit perfectly after a long day walking around the park. Let me say this is my second experience after just moving to Tampa. I should have taken the red flag from my first visit and steered clear. My first visit was about 4 days ago. I ordered a couple of beers and a pretzel. The pretzel took about 25 plus minutes. Only the bartender apologized to me throughout the visit. Fast forward to Saturday night and I thought I would grab some chili and a steak. Big Mistake! My well done steak was not well done and was barely hot enough to melt the butter. I did not complain. So my fault. The chili was cold so I sent it back. It must have been in the microwave for a bit too long because the beans exploded and it was too hot to eat for 15 min. I should have looked to see the 3.5 star review before deciding to brave the experience. I am not looking for a free meal. As I will not be back. I am only writing this in case you want to use it as a training tool for the kitchen so they may see the guest perspective. I will share that I am in the business and I rarely write reviews. However after $65 plus tip I was upset. The theory of telling ten people about a bad experience is a true one. I will be forewarning anyone who mentions the desire to visit this location! read more

It's been a while since I visited this location and I was quickly reminded why, the poor and slow service. The food itself is good and pretty reasonably priced however not for the level of service. Appetizers: Beef Nachos (very little toppings and it was not spread throughout the dish). 5/10 Mozzarella Bricks were delicious and the house made marinara 9/10. Entrees: Wings with Bricksauce 5/10, re requested extra sauce but never received. South Paw Burger 6/10 pretty good burger lacked seasoning and the toppings were piled to the point it was difficult to pick up the sandwich. Chicken Club 7/10. Drinks were all pretty good, we just had a hiccup with one of the drinks having a hair stuck to the tajin rim. We returned it straight to the bartender and unfortunately had to retrieve our own drink due to the slow pace staff. The service was the disappointment. It felt like the server went out of her way to ignore our table. Walking faster past us, cutting questions short, no eye contact and giving short responses to get away from the table. I understand she might be busy, I get it, other tables need things too. But it went beyond being busy. My party felt unwelcome, like we were a burden to be there. I'll never be back. John found this lunch spot close to the airport for after picking up our son-in-law. Right off the interstate- it's easy to find. We were sat quickly, the kids were just a few minutes behind. Once everyone arrived my grandson need a little distraction, so I told John my drink order and took a walk with the 3 year old toddler terror, lol. Alas- no one took our drink order for 25 minutes. Eating at Brick House Tavern + Tap is one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The food was terrible. The waitress was unpleasant. It was overpriced. On top of it all, my wife left her $200 sunglasses on the table when we called and asked if they'd seen them; they hung up on her. When I went back less than 15 minutes after we had left, they claimed they had not seen any and were not helpful at all. I truly believe my waitress stole them by the way they acted. The tater tots were so crunchy and fresh out the fryer! The mood I was in for a burger was astronomical and this hit the spot like never before!! That patty was so juicy and again, those tater tots were so good! Happy hour was happening so we partook in some mojitos. This is a pretty nice bar/burger place near midtown. Came here after a stint at International with my friend. It was around 5pm so we were just in time for the happy hour. I had the wings (hot honey flavored) which had a nice taste and were thick and juicy. I also had the mozzarella bricks which were absolutely stuffed with cheese (a cheese pull to rival the Chili's mozzarella sticks). My friend had the pretzel which she let me try and that was good but not great and the fried deviled eggs (I'm not a fan (I know, unpopular opinion) so I didn't try). She said they weren't that good and she didn't finish them or take them home with her for that matter. Went to try this restaurant out on whim since the place we wanted to eat had a super long wait time. Let me just start by saying, we had the worst service ever here. At one point, me and my manager joked that the workers must've went on strike because they definitely were not attending to the tables and customers. Our waitress brought our appetizer then disappeared. Didn't bring napkins, plates, or silverware. We waited and waited and nobody was around. They even had a huge line at the door waiting to be seated and the hostess were mia as well. It was odd. We finally had to get up and get our own plates and silverware so that we could eat our appetizer. Then there was a mishap with our food, it was taking forever. I could see our waitress and another waitress debating on what table the food belonged too. They then both walked back to the kitchen and then finally came back with our food like 10 mins later. I don't know what was happening this day. The food was actually good. I got buffalo wings and the flavor was great. I asked for ranch but got blue cheese so I just left it alone. The blue cheese was still good. But yea, sadly, the service here was some of the worst I have ever experienced. Im think our waitress came to our table maybe three times the whole night. Great service from Lizangela. I spent over two hours here and would have stayed longer but the battery on the laptop ran out. I pounded out six or seven Yelp reviews while enjoying their beers and a great burger. "No Bun Intended" is straight up keto compliant. Served with a side of steamed broccoli, the two beef patties were piled on top of shaved ham, bacon, cheddar, avocado, a spicy aioli, lettuce and tomato. Then topped with a fried egg. OMG. It was awesome. Lots of hustle from the staff. The manager checked in on me at least twice and it was great to see him running food from the kitchen and helping to clear tables. The restaurant is clean, roomy and comfortable. Lots of televisions tuned in to ESPN and whatnot. On a warm evening with a light breeze, all the open windows and the outdoor seating was fantastic. I loved Brick House years ago, but it's changed a ton. So here's my very honest review! The food is ok, but the beer selection and cocktails are great. The food decreased in quality post-COVID, and it hasn't gone back up in quality. They have no vegan options anymore, and they took away their delicious mushroom burger. It's one of the best vegan burgers I had ever had, so I'm definitely bitter. Service is consistently ok. They get slammed on game days, so you have to take that into consideration! Overall, it's not a bad place. It just needs to go back to it's pre-COVID level, and it'll get a lot higher of a rating from me! read more

The menu is interesting, with lots of appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. The drink menu is extensive, and they run a happy hour with $1 off certain appetizers and specialty priced drinks. We ordered the devil eggs as an appetizer. They were decent. They were supposed to be priced at $6 because of happy hour, but we noticed our bill after we got home that they hadn't given us the reduced price. Our server, Ashlee, was awesome. She was super attentive, but not intrusive. She took our drink order, brought us water and was ready to take our food order. I settled on the Philadelphia Cheesesteak with fries. Our food came extremely fast. My cheesesteak was hot, and the bread was fresh. There was ample steak, peppers, onions and cheese. Overall, a good sandwich. The fries were luke warm and even if they had been hot, they wouldn't be anything special. They could serve much better fries. Met some friends here for some apps and beers. It was recommended by one of the people I met. Nice place clean and a decent size. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. A friend brought his dog so we sat on the patio. They even provided a bowl of water for the dog! The wait staff was great. They were very friendly and helpful. The service was fast. I got the Meatball app. They had a little kick to them but not too bad. Another person with us got the Duck Wings and said they were his favorite on the menu. All the food was good and decently priced. Their beer menu was extensive and I'm sure anyone can find a beer they like. They have a lot of parking in a private lot. He ended up putting lots of salt and pepper on it along with some ketchup. He said a mayo or thousand island sauce or A1 would have been better. I dont think we will go again.
