Walked in this evening without being greeted. 2 employees working behind the counter never acknowledged us when we sat down at the bar. They both looked irritated. I assumed there was some tension between them but who knows.... The lady finally walks over with an attitude and asked us what we wanted to drink. I kindly asked for a menu and she responded with irritation, "all the beers are listed up here and pointed to the wall..." I have 2 eyes that work perfectly fine to read all of the beer options you have to offer..... I asked for a menu. What if I wanted a soda, or water, or food.... I simply asked for a menu and somehow that inconvenienced her. If you can't work in the customer service field then find another career. The Pint and Brew in downtown Tampa is a great place to find a variety of beer and good quality food. I would describe the setting as a gastropub (more of a bar than a restaurant). There are plenty of televisions viewable from any seat. The seating is mostly bar top or high top. The beer list is clearly visible on chalkboards hanging behind the bar. There are 30 beers on tap so there is plenty to choose from. The menu focuses mostly on sandwiches. There is an entire section dedicated to grilled cheese sandwiches all served on sourdough. I ordered the Tampa Cuban grilled cheese and it was fantastic. The sandwiches are served with a side of kettle chips. I was happy with the variety of beer and the quality of the food. A nice downtown pub with exceptional food. Tailgated here before a Lightning game. Short walk from the arena so I was surprised it wasn't more crowded with fans. You know it's a great menu when you want everything on it. I picked the Tampa Cuban. I tried several times to order online. I assume system was spotty due to Milton. I crossed the street and met the owner. I loved the feel and friendly staff. I placed my order. Best part was I was able to watch them make it in front of me. I figure I would like to watch it with a glass of wine. Yup a nice crisp mellow Chardonnay. Chit chatted a bit. I felt very comfortable and music was good. I must say my Tampa Cuban was soooo good. Soup- thick and rich, super yummy but very filling.. Grilled cheese- large, wasn't the biggest fan of the specific one I ordered. Way to much bacon chunks compared to the thinner apples. Good for someone looking for a lot of bacon. I would have liked thicker apples with a little bacon. Came with a large serving of kettle chips. I am sure you can request this and I would try again! First off, I walked in and was perusing their extensive beer menu when I spotted a familiar brand, so I said "Allagash". "That's good stuff." It just so happens there was 2 guys from Allagash Brewery perusing Tampa to see how their beer was selling. They invited me to sit down with them and bought my beer. We had a great chat about my visit to the Brewery in Portland, ME and other commonalities. Now to the food, after those guys left. the girl behind the bar was walking near where I was sitting and I said, "It was suggested for me to order the Smokehouse". She said, "That's a good choice". I replied, "when you eat, what do you put on your sandwich"? She said, Well, I make good stuff and here's how I like it....,". So I replied, "I'm sure you know what's good so can I get it the way you would make it"? And thus "The Jules" sandwich was born! I waited patiently while I was drinking my second Allagash while Jules made me her signature sandwich. See attached photo- substitute bacon for prosciutto add caramelized onions and substitute cheddar cheese for provolone with the usual bbq sauce, brisket and pulled pork. With pickles and chips! We went in on a Saturday for a late lunch. We needed a gluten free place to eat and they did that. If you are celiac this place will not work. However, they had gluten free bread for the sandwiches, so it worked for us. They have several neat sandwiches. I had the cobb salad and it was huge. I also tried the wings and they were really good, very different seasoning. There were only two people working as it was between lunch and dinner, but they did a great job meeting our needs. I don't know if it was the bar/restaurant or the group next to us, but something smelled strongly of cigarettes. I was staying near by and wanted to go to a place with good beer and good food so I searched on Yelp and it led me to The Pint & Brew! We visited on a Friday evening it was lovely but not busy. Our waiter was friendly and gave us recommendations based on what we normally like to drink. We ordered the wings which were perfectly cooked and savory I would definitely get them again as well as the cheese pizza which we added bacon to. I don't get the love for this place. When we arrived, the few tables were either filled with people or covered in dirty dishes. We considered eating there, but the lack of one clean table prompted us to do carry out. I think there were just two people working there. While we waited for our food, no one addressed the only three available tables - littered with glasses and plates. Other parties arrived and debated sitting at a table filled with trash from departed customers. I tried the smokehouse grilled cheese sandwich. It was okay. Not much cheese. A fair amount of meat. Caramelized onions and shallots, thyme, cremini mushrooms, truffle oil, and Gruyère and sharp cheddar PACKING SUCH FLAVOR! Also the bartender is sooo attentive. I was staying at the Hilton Downtown Tampa across the street in November 2023 for a conference and was really hungry at 4pm after taking a long flight (and skipping lunch). After looking at Google Maps, I found this place which has a casual, relaxed ambiance. Overall, the food was much better than expected. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious Burrata cheese and prosciutto dish (look under salads on the iPad menu), which had heirloom tomatoes and balsamic drizzle. Most entrees had prices between $13 and $20. Service was good but not great. Only 2 people were working at 4pm (beginning of happy hour). The highlight of coming here is the wide selection of 30+ craft beers. It's a bit pricey ($8 to $11), but you're bound to find something you like. I really enjoyed #27 (Magnanimous Juice Lord - Hazy IPA), which is produced locally from a craft brewery in Tampa. It was light and refreshing on a warm afternoon. They were so nice, offered as many samples we could drink before deciding on what we liked, and the guy cooking the food was so fun to watch! We searched for a place near us in tampa downtown and decided to have beer at the Pint and Brew - Downtown Tampa. They have an amazing choice of beers and have been marked in the board with the number. The atmosphere was great as the Saturday night atmosphere as we loved the atmosphere. From the beer list we ordered the beer flight which was 10, 17, 6, 22 and for the food we ordered Caprese Avocado Toast. The service is great at the brewery and it was amazing. We got the beer and food in 5-10 minutes. The 6 one was the coffee beer and 10,17 beer was like the juice beer. The caprese avocado toast was delicious too and we loved the beer along with the food. I was in Tampa for a business trip and landed late on Monday April 3, 2023. A couple of my business partners arrived late as well, so we were looking for a place to grab dinner before calling it a night. We stumbled upon The Pint and Brew, a craft brewery, in downtown Tampa. The food menu is limited; however they offer a variety of sandwiches (even a Cuban sandwich) and cheese dishes, everything from their gourmet grilled cheese and gourmet mac to pizzas. They also have healthy eats options like Caprese avocado toast which is what I ordered. We ordered pretzel sticks and hummus for the table. Interestingly, the food is actually prepared right behind the counter at the bar! If you like beer, this is your place! They have a very extensive beer menu (over 30 craft beers to choose from.) If you follow or keep up with my reviews, you'll know that I'm not much of a drinker. I did order the Angry Orchard Apple Cider which was actually really tasty.
