I'd recommend this station as a good lunch or dinner stop, as there's not much else to do but eat.

But, even at a substantially more modest venue like the John Wesley Powell River History Museum, I probably only really paid attention to about half of its contents before hitting my limit. The highlights I appreciated most were the informative video that explained the historical significance of The Major and his nearby explorations, the replicas of various river craft, and the totally unexpected mini-dinosaur exhibit on the lower level. The latter is tucked away in a room behind the stairs and is otherwise easy to miss if you don't bother actually walking down. We probably wouldn't have considered stopping by this museum if not for the recommendation from the staffer at the Torrey visitor center. If you're passing through, it's definitely worth an hour or two pitstop and the nominal $6 entry fee per adult.

Convenient if you want to do a little shopping, dining or just take the dog for a walk along the nice cool, shaded creek. Unfortunately, this location is only four stalls, so there's a pretty good possibility of having to share power with another car or having to wait for a stall to become available, especially during busy times of year.

We stayed in a beautiful 2-queen bed room that was very comfortable and well-equipped with a good-sized refrigerator and microwave. The amenities here are fantastic--there is a large recreation area featuring a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, and pickleball courts. Breakfast was also a highlight, offering a great selection of options including waffles, breakfast sandwiches, cake loaves, oatmeal, fresh fruits, and a wide variety of coffees and teas. Because we used a free Hilton night certificate, the price wasn't an issue for us, but room rates this May were running around $600 a night. For a property commanding that premium price point, there are still a few operational details that need to be ironed out to match the high-end experience they are aiming for: Front Desk & Service: The front desk is currently not staffed all day, which can be inconvenient for a luxury resort. Communication: Communication needs a bit of tuning, specifically updating their welcome email template and ensuring guest text messages are answered promptly. Signage: Physical signage from the main road needs improvement, which is especially important if you are arriving without a working GPS signal. Overall, it is a gorgeous property with excellent bones and great potential. Once these smaller service details and the new dining options are fully sorted, it will easily be a top-tier luxury destination!

No response and a message saying the voicemail box was full. Another guest driving by gave the number of the manager whose phone was out of service! This place is in a pretty remote area in Utah. After waiting for over an hour we left and checked into a hotel nearby which thankfully had a room for us. I will say the receptionist called TWO hours later and was apologetic but I have never been to a Hilton hotel which has no staff for check in!! Stay away please!

It is also well lit in the evening and we felt safe. Specifically, there are 8 charging units at this location and the Tesla App will show you the rate, and busy times of day. Very easy to plug in and then grab incredible pizza at Juniper Cafe across the street while you wait. Look for the big two-floor log cabin and try their Johnny Utah Pizza with pesto! We ordered a medium Hang'em High pizza with Canadian bacon, sausage and pepperoni and it was exceptional. The Tucson tamale was packed with flavor and tasted homemade. My youngest ordered the baked pasta but swapped the marinara for pesto and it came out perfect. Everyone left happy. The service is what really made the meal stand out. Our server was incredible. She never let my Diet Coke get empty. Not once. She was friendly, fast and the kind of person who makes you feel taken care of the entire time. She was the definition of great service. The place has a relaxed Torrey vibe and the pricing was fair for what you get. Hot food, good portions and a team that clearly cares.
