Like so many others, I highly recommend Dr. Rixen to anyone who has tension or pain. My Husband and I were recommended by a co-worker of mine and I am so glad that we went. I don't want to mumble on about our pain and tension but I went in for burning and sharp pains in my upper back as well as my wrist which is from desk work and after my evaluation, (which was explained in full detail as he was doing it) he found the issue in my 6th cervical vertebra and told me what he was going to do to help it. After my adjustments my wrist instantly stopped hurting and hasn't bothered me since. My upper back tension is so much better! Before: I've never heard a cry like that coming from me before. It was one born of unending, excruciating pain. It hurt to sit, stand, lie face up, and lie face down. I dreaded going to bed knowing that I wouldn't be able to sleep, because the searing, stinging pain wouldn't go away. After: I saw Dr. Dan. I slept that night. By the next night, the pain was totally gone: no back pain, no butt pain, and no hip pain. So, within 24 hours, I was pain-free. Warning--do not let Daniel rixen touch you. Despite all the apparent great reviews... Here is my horror story. First let me start with how I have now been in recovery and out of work for almost 6 months now due to damages induced by Daniel rixen. I STILL haven't fully recovered after seeing 3 specialists and been going to physical therapy for months now. I am only 25 years old too and have no disc or nerve impingements! I went to him for mostly upper back pain and only slight neck pain I was having from working in the lab environment and sitting in chairs all day long pipetting at work. He did a 5 minute assessment and then he was already doing the whole cracking thing. His adjustments were rough .. But I felt immediate relief. he told me to come back 3x a week, then taper to 2.. And then finally one. He said he expected me to be good in less than 2 months. These numbers didn't seem personalized to me, but rather general. desperate for relief.. I followed his instructions and went in for adjustments about 2x a week. After about 4 weeks of aggressive adjustments.. I started waking up with the most stiff neck you could ever imagine.. Accompanied with this burning feeling in the vertebrae of my neck. It was immense. I suddenly lost movement in my neck and it was so sore. I went to him again to tell him what happened.. And he said he probably over adjusted me (what?!?) and he proceeded to adjust me one last time as to not "waste my time/money" and told me to not come back for 2 weeks until it's calmed down. Well.. At this point I couldn't go to work anymore because I was no longer able to lift my head or sit in a chair without this burning in my neck which went all down my spine. I took 2 weeks off.. I was no better. It was about 6 weeks later with no improvement that I finally called him and told him what happened.. He came up with some Bs and told me to come in for another adjustment (no way in hell!!!) needless to say I never went.. I went to my doctor.. Saw a rheumotologist... A spine specialist.. A neurologist.. I even got more X-rays and an MRI done. I have no disc or spine problems.. Actually everything looks normal other than the extreme inflammation, nerve damage, ligament and muscle sprains that he caused in my neck. After laying in bed for 2 months like a vegetable I was finally able to get some good nerve pain medication and muscle relaxants to be able to get out of bed and begin physical therapy. It's now been almost 6 months.. I continue to slowly improve with the help of PT and meds.. But I am still unable to get back to a normal life due to pain and nerve/muscle sensitivity and am only now starting to getting a better range of motion in my neck. This man seriously ruined my life for the time being. I am 25, lost my job, and have seen more doctors in the past 6 months than I ever saw in my life, and I just keep praying that what he did will one day finally heal and I can get back to my life. He will try to deny it was his fault, but I have told my story to countless doctors/PTs/even another chiropractor who I sought for advice.. And they all agree that it was his rough/forced adjustments that did this. I mean...it's pretty obvious. So yeah thanks Daniel rixen!!!! read more

I've been receiving treatments here for about 10 weeks to date, and I have been very pleased with my experience. Dr. Rixen (aka Dr. Dan) has a very cool air about him; he is relaxed, professional, and makes you feel at ease. When I asked him about his approach to chiropractic, he said to me, "I'm a nuts and bolts kinda guy," which I felt was an admirable trait about him, here's why: He can pinpoint your trouble spots without using X-rays, CT scans, and all the other expensive diagnostic procedures that usually accompany other chiropractic care offices. After my first treatment I could feel significant improvement. After 6 visits I could do anything in my usual daily routine pain-free (keep in mind I was also being careful not to reinjure myself). In closing, if you're in pain, this is the guy you want to see. He's reasonably priced, genuine, professional, effective, and an all around nice dude. The receptionist Jenny is always cheerful and accommodating. Why I got Chiropractic Care: I woke up one morning almost unable to walk. I visited the ER and all they did was give me a CT scan and a bottle of painkillers. It was nice to know I didn't have something majorly wrong with me, but I knew that unless I sought out real treatment the chances of a timely recovery would be slim. Having had a minor fender bender in the past, I knew the benefits of chiropractic care. There are a great deal of chiropractic care practitioners out there ready to give you their sales pitch and scare you into treating more often than is needed. With Dr. Rixen, there is no sales pitch, he is straightforward and will do what is in your best interest. Dr. Dan has been my bone doc since Dec. of 2006 when I suffered a back injury. I almost crawled in and actually walked out. I continue to see him for maintenance, and he has helped me through pain and other issues. I sent my son in law there because he suffers horrible back pain from his gardening business, and the SIL is astounded by how much better he feels when he leaves Dr. Dan's office. The office is homey and comfortable, the office manager Jenny bends over backwards to get you in if you don't have an appointment and assist you with your insurance paperwork, and Dr. Dan always makes you feel better walking out then when you walked in. read more

I was helping her to fill out the questionnaire on the phone. And after that your front desk lady told my friend to answer more questions on the computer. I told your front desk lady my friend have limited English that she won't be able to answer all the questions. She told me my friend need to answer all questions before she can be seen by the doctor. My Wife and I use Rixon Chiropractic for our alignment needs. He just gets it done. Great sence of humor and the best Doc in the area. Gives back to the community as well. Has helped me mantain full body joint Heath. Feet, Knees, Hips, Back, Neck, and occasionally my arms. Did I mention he takes my health insurance. Maybe he takes yours also. To make a long story short I went to Doctor Dan because of a sever pain in my left ankle. He didn't have a clue as to what was the problem but decided to work on it anyway. His treatment included looking at the ankle then twisted the foot two times and that was it. He charged me 40 dollars for a new patient fee and 40 dollars for his "treatment". 80 dollars for five minutes, what a great gig. read more

Years ago, my chiropractor passed away suddenly. I tried 4 different chiropractors and then gave up for a while. I was desperate for good chiropractic care when I started to hear about Dr. Rixen. Feeling like it may be another waste of time, I went to see him. I was pleasantly suprised to see that he was just what I had been looking for. His office staff has changed over the years I have been going to him. They have all been good, and I love Jenny who is there now. Dr. Rixen has helped me with old injuries and general maintenance. Dr. Rixen is an amazing chiropractor. He helped me understand how chiropractic medicine helps to maintain a healthy back. I first went to him to heal my back after carrying kids had left me with a sore right hip. Practicing yoga had helped but there was still lingering pain that at times left me limping.After a series of 8 treatments I felt better than ever. I go to him for periodic maintenance and when I lift things that are too heavy!
