Rizzieri is really a top notch salon and spa. The service is amazing and they really know what they're doing. If you're looking for something to be done for a special occasion or you're looking to treat yourself I'd recommend this place to anyone. Something to note is that Rizzieri is definitely on the more expensive side salon wise. It isn't Birkin Bag astronomical but for a guy like me, you'll pay $70 before tip for a cut and shampoo. Most other barbers or salons charge around $40 but at the same time, you're paying for the quality of the cut. I have no complaints in that department. I know that some guys prefer the barber atmosphere and to that end, they do have a side room with two or three chairs that are specifically for men. I've tried that side area once and have no complaints. Preferably I just like the traditional open area salon over the barber area but, that's just me. My fiance and I love this spot. read more

I used to come to Rizzieri for haircuts a while ago, and the results were always very inconsistent. Sometimes my hair would turn out amazing and totally worth the price, but other times it just wasn't good at all. I honestly wouldn't recommend this salon if you have curly hair. The last time I went, I ended up with a pageboy haircut and lost about 4 more inches than I originally asked for. It looked horrendous -super choppy and uneven. I also got my hair styled here for prom, and not only did they severely burn my ear and hair, but the final style looked nothing like what I had asked for and wasn't flattering at all. My daughter has curly hair and lives 4 hours away. She came to visit me for her birthday weekend. Our usual hairdresser was out sick so the original appointment she had was cancelled. It was her birthday and she really needed a hair cut... so she scheduled with Ashley!!!! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. She loved it!! Fast forward a couple of hours and she scheduled with another "senior stylist" for a Balayage!!! Something she'd been wanting to do for a while. Disaster!!!! She messed up her hair pretty bad!!! she went from being super happy with her haircut to crying about her hair on her birthday!!!! Then when she complained they asked her to come back on the same day which made it worse!!! $200 later!!!! Major let down and disappointment. If you want Balayage, go someplace else or do your research first. Maybe they have better experience with non-textured hair. Ashley and Tess know how to work with curly or textured hair. 2022 - late review, but important. I have been a client of Rizzieri for well over 20+ years. I made an appointment for my daughter to have her hair washed, blow dried and styled for her Sweet 16 party. Mind you my daughter has VERY thick and curly hair. Instead of my request, the stylist brushed out my daughter's hair and tried flat ironing it then curl it. When she got home I was in shock on how HORRIFIC she looked. It was like a bee hive on top of her head. THANKFULLY my other daughter was able to fix it, since Rizzieri was unsympathetic and just refunded our money back. We sent them photos and all. I still go since my stylist does a great job with my hair and I give Brad a raving 5 stars, but beware of "special occasions," it may or may not work out. They have been great with other special occasions, but this one they hacked. read more

Important take always for future client would be to make sure to ask for the drying service with your color. It isn't automatically added when you book a hair service. This is probably pretty obvious for people that get their hair colored frequently but I didn't book correctly for this first appointment and was shocked when my colorist jumped to her next appointment while I was still at the wash bowl. She saw me waiting after a minute and was very accommodating - she still blew out my hair but it was not at all what I expected. A few other things I was shocked with - At no point did she ask where my part was, so my coloring doesn't line up correctly with how I style my hair. I could see the breakage as she was brushing my hair out. (This is most likely because I asked for very blonde coloring but nobody wants their hair to break). Finally - it was bizarre when went to pay...they did not charge me the correct amount first, they followed me into the coat room to tell me to pay more. I wanted this to be a great experience because this place was referred to me. I even went in for a consultation a month prior to make sure I would have the right facts and book the right thing. I've been coming to Rizzieri for awhile now and have always liked the cut and color results. Every stylist (I'm not loyal) has been fantastic. The biggest downside to me is that the color is done at tables with other clients in a large loud room. The old Marlton location was definitely quieter and less bustling. I wouldn't come here for my bridal up-do for example because the hectic ness would drive me crazy. As for price, Rizzieri is pricey but worth it. Do not waste your money here. I recently went for a color correction which was mainly just to lighten up my hair a little since I've been having my hair dyed black for over a year now. My hair was about 2 different shades when I started, black and a deep brown. I spent 3 hours and 240 dollars ( not including tip) and am completely disappointed with my results. My hair has even more different colors and has MAJOR red undertones. No one warned me my hair would be red and they will not give me a refund. I now have to pay an additional 150 to my regular hair stylist to fix the mess they left me with. I am trying to get in contact with a manager but have no response yet. I used a gift card from Christmas and my parents are so upset that their present went to waste. Save your money and your hair. read more

After two awful experiences of having our appointments cancelled (once when we were already in robes), my wife and I finally had our 80 min Swedish massages. I was quoted a certain price for a skin procedure. When I went to pay it was $50 dollars more than what I was quoted. I dint make mistakes with the amount I was expected to pay. When I asked if there was tax, they said no. So they insisted the price was right. the treatment consisted of 4 areas. The women that did the procedure was finished the actual treatment in less than 15 minutes. everything I read said these areas should take about an hour. Ripoff!!! Be careful, get it in writing first. if you do book a procedure make sure you are getting what you pay for in terms of the complete procedure, not a shortcut. Sorry for the length of this review....At the recommendation of a close friend I made appts for pedicure and gel manicure for both my granddaughter and myself 6 weeks in advance of her high school prom. I had to give a credit card # or I couldn't book an appt I was told to set up an account and also to charge me if I did not show for appt. I called back less than 5 min later to say my granddaughter wanted acrylics. The customer service person said to just tell the technician when we come. Ok fine. A day or 2 later I see 7 yes 7 separate zero $ pending Charges on my credit card. Fearing that charges were going to be made on my account I called and spoke to a woman that told me that was not correct and told me the manager would call me the next day... needles to say I never received a phone call. Again not the end of the world as the pending transactions deleted a few days later. Fast forward to the day of the appt we arrived early and waited for technician and we were taken at appt time Great! We were informed that there were only appts for 3 services (?) and that there was a standing appt coming in soon. Also that neither one of the ladies did acrylics and tips for my granddaughters prom. Let me say that the 2 ladies Lara and Theresa were wonderful! They tried their best to be as accommodating and apologetic as humanly possible and even tried to call someone back in to do her nails. Unfortunately we were told no one answered ( don't blame someone for not wanting to come back to work). We ended up having both services done as Lara did a standard gel manicure for my granddaughter and then she did mine I'm sure staying late which we really appreciated. My granddaughter was extremely disappointed at not being able to have her dream manicure for such an important event. It was a very disappointing experience for a recommended high end salon. I have been going to Rizzeri for years, even when they were at their old location in Marlton. There are so many great stylists to chose from. I have had a few different ones depending on if my normal girl is available or not. I think the location within the actual mall is weird, but its a beautifully decorated, clean salon. My most recent visit was for a spa day with my mom. Their relaxation room they place you in before your services is awesome and really makes the experience. Big fan of Rizzieri's new location in the Moorestown Mall, which is super close to my parents' house and therefore, very convenient. I booked a facial with Christina, who is the only person I have ever gone to for a facial at Rizzieri. As usual, my service was five stars and I left feeling fresh and relaxed. The facility is a little odd with regards to the set-up. The space for the beauty salon is enormous (and so loud when several hair dryers are going at once - some sound absorbing panels would be really helpful), while the spa areas are small and even a bit cramped with regards to the lounge and locker rooms. The locker area is super tiny - more than two women would not fit comfortably in the tight space. And the lockers themselves are very small. A winter coat, purse and clothing could barely fit, and only when the coat was folded over and shoved in. Alas, I don't go to a spa for the locker rooms so the above comments are just little pet peeves that won't deter me from Rizzieri. I just wish they dedicated a little more room to the spa since there is an abundance of it in the salon. read more

I have to say, I have been to some of the best spas in the country and when it comes to Aveda salons, I am a huge fan. That being said, I was disappointed with Rizzieri Moorestown. Though the salon is beautiful and spacious the spa aspect of the location leaves much to be desired. I was first escorted through the salon which looked sleek, modern and all a buzz with blow dry and hair clipping. As I entered the frosty double doors leading to the spa I was excited... But all that ended when I entered the locker room with one ladies bathroom and a small walk-in shower. The area was pretty small and I felt cramped having to change basically on top of the other spa goers. The changing area was about an arm's length wide- thank god I love yoga... Cause that's what I needed to maneuver the area comfortably. I put all that aside and walked out to the waiting area which was also cramped. Though the area is well draped and adorned in a lux charcoal with silver accents, it still misses the mark as you could only fit about 3 average seated adults in the area. I know because again, I practically had to somersault over other day spa goers. My massage was nice enough, but, my exit was annoying. The checkout girl was curt and rude. She essentially waved me on when I asked if I could leave a tip for my masseuse... Again this was AFTER me telling her that it was my first time there. OBVIOUSLY I don't know where anything was located. I'm a medical professional and customer service is KEY in my industry. I'm very disappointed with my Rizzieri Moorestown experience and will drive to AC or New York for a real day spa experience in the future. read more

I have been going there for 12 years. In the last 3 years this business has been declining. The phone receptionists and the reception at the mail entrance need customer service training. If I need to start keeping names, I would rather find a new spa. Customer NO service is problem. My last experience was the phone ringing and ring without an answer. I would give this salon negative starts if possible. I had an appointment to get my hair highlighted. My hair was brown when I had went in and I had asked for platinum highlights. I am not a hairdresser. Being that I would think that the lady would've said I have to do a balayage to get it as light as you would like for now and you may have to come in for an additional visit or two. The girl started 45 minutes late on my hair. She started at 4:00 And my appointment was for 315. They closed at 5 o'clock. So she had an hour to get my hair light. So she didn't leave the bleach on long enough and my hair came up like a dark golden puke color. I had called and said I was dissatisfied and they had rescheduled me. They route not to have me charged for the highlights that I needed. When I came in the girl Lauren again was this time30 minutes late to get started on my hair. Both times I had to have my husband bring my baby with me because I nurse him so this way he's available to nurse when needed, he will not take a bottle. We live in Washington Township so this is quite a hike up to Moorestown. Lauren would not do my hair. She was very fcombative and bitchy with me. There was also another lady there who was saying in the background, "oh no I would not have her talking to me like that!" referring to myself. I've had good experiences here. I've done both cuts and color with a wide range of people--never really feeling attached to any one person. Until you find someone you want to return to for whatever reason or preference, there are so many professionals to try out with flexibility of times, dates, levels of experience and price due to the size of the business itself. I like having that flexibility of scheduling as I never know when I need/want a cut or color until the day before--almost always. I've only had a less than good experience once in many years of going there and it was handled professionally and kindly. My color felt overwhelmingly dark to me years ago and I returned to have it adjusted. I appreciated the fact that they understood and responded kindly/quickly to the problem. I've more recently been getting my single process color done by Andrea who is a great fit for me and does a wonderful job. Last May 16, 2017 (yes, I have the receipt in front of me), I used a spa gift certificate my husband gave me as a gift. I decided to get a deep tissue massage (my first one...I usually get Swedish massages) since I felt I "needed to get the kinks out." I know that deep tissue massages can be uncomfortable at first. I also had added reflexology onto the service as well when I booked my appointment. Well, Joan was my masseuse and this is the worst experience I have EVER had at a spa. I told her to lighten up a bit on the pressure, but still it was pretty rough. At the end of the massage and FOOT RUB (which I thought was part of the massage as many times you get your hands and feet rubbed as part of the service), I was brought out into the waiting room and given water. I thought that I was going to get my reflexology done next. I was even thinking "maybe she is going to do it in a different room?" After 20 minutes, a girl finally came out and asked me what I was waiting for, and I said "my reflexology." She conferred with Joan. Come to find out...I was done. The foot rub WAS the reflexology! Really? I know exactly what reflexology is, and it is NOT just a quick little foot rub. I was given an envelope at the front desk for a tip and felt pressured to do so as the cost was $163.52 (with tax)...$115 for massage/$38 for reflexology. The next day, my neck was extremely sore. The next 3 WEEKS...still sore. I had a physical therapy appointment for another issue (balance issues...completely unrelated) and asked the therapist if there was such a thing as "getting a bad massage" where you are in pain weeks later. Yes, it is possible (I even looked it up on the internet). The therapist felt my neck and said that "they really did a number on you." I had pinched nerves in my neck. My range of motion in my neck on the right was awful. Trying to sleep was extremely painful. I wound up spending half of my PT appointments on my neck issue (which isn't even the reason I am going to PT in the first place). I waited this long to do my Yelp review for the following reason: my neck only started to feel normal last month. Yes...December 2017. SEVEN months later! I could not believe it. I have $16.48 left on my gift certificate. I'm going to have to eat that (was going to use it for a facial) as I refuse to ever go there again. They seriously need to make sure that their massage therapists are thoroughly trained. Mine obviously wasn't! read more
