Our general…read morecontractor, who has done an amazing job with all other aspects of our kitchen remodel, called us into the kitchen just in time to see a bunch of our expensive tile sliding down the wall and their poor tile subcontractor almost in tears. Apparently we had invested in some of the most complex mosaic glass tile to work with and needed to find an experienced tile pro if this was going to happen to plan. Of the three tile pros I called, Josh was the only one to contact me back right away, and showed up a couple days later to assess the scene and provided a bid the same day. Once work began, Josh and his assistant Chono spent the better part of the first day meticulously measuring out and planning the install, and two more days to set and grout the tile. When we were undecided about a grout color, Chono even made a nice mockup panel for us to look at before he came back the last day to grout the tile. Now that the tile has dried, it looks absolutely beautiful. I love that they took the time to make sure that the pattern aligned perfectly with the window, and their attention to detail is completely evident in the small crevasses and receptacles they tiled around, rebuilding our pattern with tiny cut pieces. Apart from the install, Josh was easy to communicate with over email and texts, always on time, left the work area neat and tidy, and came in right at the estimated price, no surprises. I give him and his crew the highest of recommendations and will be using them again when I start our bathroom project.

Like the other reviews here, I wholeheartedly recommend Josh and his father for your project. We bought our dream tile, Artobrick, at the local Long Beach Tile Zone and George recommended Alvarez Tile. I also recommend Tile Zone! Josh gave me a complete quote covering all aspects of the work from the start. Nothing changed, all work was performed exactly as stated at the outset without any surprises or upcharges. Josh troubleshoots the project from the get-go and is thorough. I did say the work was enjoyable which sounds strange, I know, but if you've had a disaster in your home from a contractor before then I can assure you the prep work they do is a dream. There was no tracking debris in and out. The workspace was isolated and our home was disturbed as little as possible. Artobrick tile is installed one tile at a time. If you are getting this kind of tile, stop looking for other bids- Alvarez is the contractor you need. The prep with a cement float and the one-by-one tile installation was incredible to watch take shape and the included tile floor trim we added and tricky corners - all superb. After a few small earthquakes, I can say nothing has cracked, not even a grout seam. And if the amazing floor wasn't enough - Josh made our lives so much easier by installing our vanity and mirrors all with total precision. Then added our tile backsplash with expert corner!. I could not have asked for a better experience. Efficient is an understatement. Two guys demo'd a large living room, two hallways and a foyer in record timing. Carpet AND tile that the original owner had put in were gone in a blink of an eye. Two more guys came sometime in between my tv binging and they expertly removed the glue under the tile. The job in a nutshell: Day 1: Demo & clean-up. Partial tile laid out. Day 2: Tile completed. Day 3: Grout They keep you up to date on the progress, locked up on the days we were not there when they finished up & always show up early...ready to go at the "start" time. I really appreciated that they were conscious of the tracking of their shoes and they had placed a section of the old carpet to not track the glue/dirt over my backyard. We felt comfortable with his explanation of his quote and we went with him. Sean was awesome! He always showed up on time, worked quickly and without causing total chaos to my daily living and surroundings. We found them through Yelp after a serious plumbing repair required removing and replacing floor tile and trim in our utility room and bathroom.  We feel very fortunate that Trinidad Tile handled the remodel.  The results look fantastic and the quality of work is evident (see attached pics)  Our remodel was a small job involving flooring, one quartz bathroom counter and sink, and various drywall patching.  Yet, even though it was small, Trinidad Tile treated it with the same attention to detail as larger, more expensive projects.  Scheduling was flexible and on time every time.  Their work crew (Javier, Jaime, and Dante) is friendly and easy to communicate with. They have a small showroom display that made choosing tile and counter top materials easy.  The craftsmanship that goes into their quartz counters is impressive.  Trinidad Tile also has the capability to fabricate tile and stone edges in house. The floor trim for our remodel was custom cut with honed edges to match floor tile grout lines. It looks fantastic and we could not be happier with the results.
