When we moved into our townhome it had old carpet and outdated flooring. James was such a delight to work with and even recommended colors for flooring because I had no clue what might look good. Like paint you can think something will look good and you'll never know until it's installed. I am glad I trusted James's instinct. His two staff floor installers were also some of the best I've seen. Prior to James I had a carpet installer at another place and the carpet ended up having rolls in it 1-2 years later. AND.. I also had a kitchen remodel where the flooring people allowed water to seep in and the floor was damaged a year later (but it was too late by then and I could not get it replaced). These are OTHER experiences I am comparing to so you understand HOW GOOD JAMES IS. To-date, the carpet on my stair well is still flawless (this is now years later). And the the luxury vinyl plank James recommended are still my favorite in both color and quality. There have been zero issues. They were installed in 2020 and now in 2026 they're still phenomenal (sorry for the late review). We did the LVP flooring in our master bedroom, closet and bathroom. Thank you James! read more

Although James was on vacation, he took the time to arrange for the wholesale dealer to release a box of wood flooring to my husband for pick-up and I as able to settle the bill with James when he returned from vacation. As much as it hurts my heart to write this review, I couldnt hold off any longer. I met James in 2006, when he and Superior Carpet was on LaTijera in Los Angeles. I needed someone to upgrade my condo since I bought it as is and I finally wanted to make it look like my own. He came out, gave me an estimate on cost for painting, flooring and kitchen remodel and room doors and I agreed to have him do the work. I was so pleased, I had him do work at my dad's house a few years later. Fast forward to mid 2023, when I had James come back to replace the porcelain tile in my living room, dining area and kitchen and replace it with new flooring. He suggested the new vinyl flooring that is the new thing going now and I was pleased with what we choose. Well, I started having issues with the panels in the kitchen coming up and had to have four panels replaced right next to each other but at different times a few months later. The last one was replaced around early 2024, but it kept moving. I contacted James in April 2024, he came, glued it with Crazy Glue . He told he was retiring and I wished him and his wife well. The glued panel lasted but then the panel attached to it, which had previously been replaced, began to peel and started lifting. I texted James in Feb. 2025, to find out what glue he used before and he responded. I mentioned I saw he hadn't retired and told him I wouldn't bother him about my floors anymore since I felt he didn't want to deal with them, which I never received a response. Needless to say, the glue didn't keep the peeled part down and I have since ordered repair tape from Amazon that I tried to match to the panel as close as I could to patch the peeled and lifting area. I haven't had any issues with any of the panels in the other rooms in my home, just that one particular area in my kitchen. read more

My son suffers from severe allergies so we pulled up his carpet. I called Superior carpet on Saturday and got a quote from James. He quoted me a good price to put laminate flooring for the room. I ask him how quickly could we he do it. He came over the same day, measured the room and showed us samples. We finalized the order Monday morning, and a couple of hours laters the installers where at my house doing the job. A couple of hours later they were done. The job was immaculately done. Had a great experience. The workers showed up both day on time and were nearly dressed in the business uniform. They got right to work. The first day they removed carpet from the stairs and hallway, fixed a problem with the underlying wood, and put in new flooring that amazingly matched the flooring I had put in the living room 3 years earlier. This project is the second time I have worked with James at Superior Carpet and Flooring in 15 years, and he never disappoints. We needed to bring a hard surface flooring into our home to accommodate our aging pet, and he suggested a new technology vinyl laminate flooring. He brought over a few samples, and we were able to select one that day. We had a phased installation due to the holiday, so we did the downstairs first then the upstairs three days on premise each time to complete the job. His installation team was prompt, friendly, always alerted me to any challenges or questions they had and left my home clean each day. I did prepare the space in advance packing up rooms to make the process move quickly for the installation team. We have had our new flooring for nearly two months and simply love it. Our pet has adjusted after initially finding the surface a little slick. Maintenance is a breeze with this type of flooring, I highly recommend it over the carpet. The two things I would do differently was to give more thought to our stairs, there are so many options available to bring character to your home and I simply did not have enough time to work through my ideas so I went with a standard installation and I would consider putting a layer of soundproofing if it is available for the upstairs. read more

This was a wonderful carpet buying experience! I had the pleasure of working with Joya who explained all the differences in the carpets and genuinely cared about what we were looking for. She didn't try to upsell us which is rare. My daughter found exactly what she wanted. Unfortunately what she wanted was discontinued but Joya found an exact match from a local vendor for the same price. I did my homework and was not at all disappointed. In fact I was so happy with the professionalism, courtesy and fair pricing. My mom had a small kitchen floor to update and a small bathroom floor. We chose a light ash wood vinyl flooring. Curtis let me take samples home to my mom's house. Mind you I live in Florida and visit my mom regularly. So it was not easy dealing with me. I just can't say enough about the kindness of this man. I had to wait 3 months until my return to see the work and it was gorgeous and perfectly done. My 90 year old step dad had to be there while they worked. Any concerns were immediately addressed. Don't hesitate to use this location. Terrible customer service, I'm a sales representative who was searching for a sample of carpet for a customer. Their company could not provide me an answer for three days as to whether I can receive a sample of this. So I called again, and had the pleasure of speaking to Curtis..seemed decent and all of a sudden asks "how would me providing you a sample help me personally?" None. In this industry its usually curtis-see (get it courtesy) to provide sample to customers or sales representatives or build relationships with people. He further responds with "Do your homework, I got sales to make," and hangs up on me. Curtis, you won't be making any sales with that kind of attitude towards customers. Luckily I've been in this business long enough so I'll be sure to let everyone I know in this industry about this companies terrible customer service. read more

This was the first time that we worked with James and team at Superior Carpet Flooring, and we were impressed with the entire process: from initial floor and base board type selection all the way to installation. Having work done on our floors done due to water damage, we were looking to replace laminate with something water proof . We settled on vinyl plank flooring, which is waterproof and comes in many styles to look like stone or even wood. James walked us through the process and even came onsite both days that the floor was being installed, this allowed him to point out problem areas with the existing floor that the install crew was then able to fix. I really appreciated that as they were able to even get rid of an odor caused by old epoxy that was not removed properly by the previous installer! The finished product looks great! The install was sharp and professional. The added benefits of the new floor compared to the old one are: quieter, water proof and of course it is much better looking. read more
