BRAVO! RM's lunch fare is better than the food I had in Nice, France and in St. Tropez! The French onion soup was absolutely to die for, smothered in the perfect blend of warm, gooey cheese. My husband had the Croque Monsieur sandwich and I had the turkey cheese croissant, and both came toasty warm, bubbling with cheese and the richest bechamel sauce. Sandwiches even come with an elegant little side salad that have the exact right amount of a simple, beautiful dressing that tastes like the chef prepared it only moments ago. All ingredients are fresh beyond belief. Flavors will shock you from the first bite. This is the kind of food that makes you want to give the chef a standing ovation in the middle of the cafe (but you don't because you can't stop eating!). Go now! No, really-- go as soon as you can before word spreads like wildfire about what Phillippe (the owner) and his incredible chef have created. OMG We normally go to Koffee (which is very good) but decided to stop at RM Coffee and glad we did. The pastry selection is phenomenal and I ordered a coffee ( lavazza) which was perfectly made and an apple turnover ... which was out of this world tasty. We were in town for the Indian Wells tennis tournament and found this gem. The coffee was very flavorful and pastries are delicious. The owner was super friendly. We will certainly be back next year. The owner can be very rude, as others have mentioned. He does not give printed receipts so on an order with numerous items I was left to wonder if I was being overcharged which I later realized I was. I am a local resident and frequented this place many times, because the almond croissant is so good. But the final straw was when I was overcharged for an iced coffee. The price he was charging me was $1.25 higher than listed on the price chart. When I questioned that he got very angry and said "it's the milk" and I pointed out I was not getting soy or almond or oat but plain milk which are all up charges. He then proceeded to go on about the price of everything being so high, when all he needs to do is update the prices on his board instead of charging whatever he feels like. Sure enough when I looked at my bank card online he charged me the much higher price. That's when I decided never to go there again. I actually felt it was an abusive experience. I have not been there since and have told friends I used to go with that if they want to go there they can go but I will not be joining them! read more

I like to support small business and Phillippe's shop has earned that support. He's in the midst of a renovation and low season so was closing early when I arrived this first day of my summer visit. But he insisted he serve me despite my resistance. His pastries are gorgeous! How does one pick? And my selection of the pear galette was fabulous. I called yesterday to ask about operating hours and even though they were closed they still let me know and sent me a text with the summer hours. We had the most awful experience at this coffee shop. Do not take ANY special needs or disabled children/adults here. The owner is very inconsiderate and mocked my autistic brother. He asked him be quiet and when my brother did not respond (he is nonverbal), we explained that he is autistic and we were going to take him outside to be considerate. The OWNER then mocked my brother by saying "oh yeah, me too." We decided not to engage and left immediately, but the owner couldn't help himself to say "buh bye!!!" You walk into a clean, smaller well decorated coffee and pastry shop to be created by a very nice French man. Come to find out he's the owner! He was so polite and was very helpful. It was a hard decision to make I wish I could have tried them all! The kids split a raspberry danish with fresh fruit on top, the husband is a lover of Nutella so he tried the caramel banana danish, and I HAD to try the pear danish.
