Huge applause for North Bay Roofing…read more Two years ago they replaced our 25 year-old roof. They gave us very accurate estimates and also outlined what issues we might be facing once the old roof came off. They did an excellent job, showed up when they said they were, completed the job quickly, installed skylights as well and were very tidy once they left. We were very happy with the results. Two years later and we got this crazy storm and for some reason we were getting water in inside the house. It was the first time since the new roof went on that we were having any issue. We called North Bay Roofing up at 9:30 in the morning. By 1130 that morning a technician was out here looking at the situation, was able to make a determination of where the water might be coming in and did an extremely thorough and professional patch job. We have not had any leaks with the subsequent storms we've had. So appreciate North Bay being so conscientious and prompt in addressing our issue. We were happy with them two years ago. The owner seemed angry and defensive but agreed to correct it. We were patient and allowed many months to pass and followed up with them several times. We figured we could wait until the slower season in deference to the small business, but hoped to have it corrected before the next rainy season. On the last follow up, we got no response. We can only assume they are blowing us off. The gutter connection referred to was a compound angle. When my husband first met with the company rep (in advance) and explained that the angle was not 90°, they confirmed they could make the cut correctly. My husband even provided a drawing beforehand on how the compound cut. The angle was not cut correctly so one gutter was bent up to meet up the adjoining gutter, creating an overly large gap between the house and the gutter corner. Needless to say, it leaks into the walkway below, which was the whole point of having the gutter installed In the first place.

He pulled permits quickly. His crew got the roof completed within a week, cleaning up most debris. The final permit inspection was quick. He said that while "magic" was the main draw, the secret is to attend to all the details, make sure everything works, is clean and able to do whatever it's supposed to do. The same goes for most successful businesses, do it right and take nothing for granted. In this case it's the gutters on your roof that keep rain from going places where it's not supposed to go. If your roof isn't keeping things dry and without a doubt on your part, save yourself a lot of trouble and have Superior install seamless gutters and guards. In 2013 I decided it was time for a new roof on my house. I also decided it was time to quit risking my life every year cleaning out my old gutters. I had installed some DIY gutter guards on the old roof, the kind that work for maybe a year, then collapse like mine did. The guy I chose to install the roof recommended Superior Seamless for the gutters, which is how I met Cory when he prepared an estimate. He suggested I also have them install real, effective gutter guards that are securely attached no matter how hard the wind blows. The price was not only reasonable, it was well worth every dollar. I haven't climbed up on my roof since then... that's 12 years without a single drip or leak. Then came this year's first rainstorm, when one of the downspouts overflowed. The gutters seemed fine, but I called Cory and Jacob anyway to see what to do. In this case there was nothing wrong with the gutters or the guards, so not a problem that called upon their lifetime warranty, but they agreed to check it out anyway. Now to be clear, Superior isn't in the business of cleaning gutters. But when Jacob dropped by to check all the downspouts, he was kind enough to clear out the minor mounts of debris that had collected around some of the downspout openings over the past decade+. That is really incredible service. OK, so the business may not be as fun as Disneyland but Superior Seamless Gutters has something in common with it, in the way it operates. It's the same kind of business, with attention to details that people will come back to again, as I will if I live long enough to need another new roof and gutters on my house. NorCal Dave made appt with me and had to cancel because he will ill on our first scheduled appointment; which is understandable. We rescheduled and then the evening before appointment he asked to cancel because he needed a haircut and his appointment was at 9AM and wanted to come later. I could not believe NorCal Dave would evening ask to change appointment for his haircut...WOW! Obviously, NorCal Dave did not want the job. Maybe when he looked that it was in Roseland he felt was not worth it or does not like the Roseland area. Just a story I told myself in my true disappointment with the unprofessional way this situation was treated. I see many 5 Stars for NorCal and sad to say not my experience and that just was only trying to make an appointment.
