He was the owner of MemFish back in the day when it was good. Jerk off bought it from him and ran it into the ground. I actually worked the weekends at his place for a couple years. Practicing my craft, you see. I even had my own show tank at the store. It was badass. Anyway. He's still building his new business and needs all the support you can give. I've been feeding him corals out of my tank for a min now, picking up new ones to grow, and restocking my fish now again as well. I got some bad ass fish there recently. Gem Tang is my highlight. $1500 online and it was only $550 here!!! Holy shit, what a deal!!! Magnificent Foxface was only $200! What!?!? I can't wait to see what else I can find here! We also went up to the observation deck at the top, which was such a fun experience. The view over the city and the Mississippi River was amazing. The only thing I wish is that we had gone at sunset. Parking was $10 and since it was a Saturday afternoon, the lot was packed but we could still find a spot. I got a kick out of people parking on the grass. Walking up the front, you see statues of animals that you can take pics from. Bought tickets online so all we had to do is scan our QR code and we were good to go and explore. There is so much to see at this Zoo. You can see Cheetahs, lions, axolotls, lemurs and my favorite - Penguins. They also have a zip line. My bf tried it and he loves the view. Also be the lookout for their events & themed nights like Zoo Boo & Lantern Festival. Even a drinking event called roar & pour. And fellow Tennesseans - don't forget about Tennessee Tuesday where you can go for free!

A very large amount of the exhibits were empty and animals were missing. There was trash in numerous locations throughout. The seal show left much to be desired and so on. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed and so were the kids. When we came here in 2022, we saw many animals in terrible health conditions like the bears, wolves and the poor panda. Thankfully this time around, the wolves at least looked better and I'm glad the panda is back home overseas and thriving now.

Sometimes that's good, sometimes not... I mostly come here when I struggle to find a specific fish or invertebrate. A lot of times this dude will have it when others don't. They carry salt and fresh water critters, supplies, and they sell premade water as well for the salty tank folks. I do not recall seeing tanks for sale though. Their stock of dry goods is a bit spotty and seems to have no real rhyme or reason to what is stocked. With that said, once again I am able to find things here when I can't elsewhere. I got a few corals here for a great deal that were happy, healthy, and spread fast. I appreciate the diversity in the area aquarium stores these days. We have at least four independently owned fish stores to choose from over the Petco's and Petsmart's of the world. I've seen horrible things in those places. Spend your pet money locally!!!
