We went to Roadhouse on a Tuesday for the $5.95 special . It was clean, cool and not crowded. We bought tickets on line which made it simple. We were 15 min early so we could order food & drinks. Seats were clean and in great shape. We ordered a pretzel & White cheddar/glazed and confused popcorn & two root beers. Our order came so fast. The pretzel was yummy severed w/ queso dip. The popcorn was in a huge bowl. It would feed a family! You can pick 2 flavors and get a refill for free and take home. It was very tasty. It comes with a bowl on top so you can split it during the movie which is nice, Bathrooms were clean. Overall great experience. We will keep it in mind for our next movie. You can order all kinds of food and drinks. There is an area outside to hang out and watch sports games. Inside lobby is a bar atmosphere with places to hangout. They even have deserts and gelato to make your drinks super yummy. You can have gelato while watching your movie too. We will be back! read more

Jimi wanted some soda pop but also didn't want to have to go to the bathroom mid movie. That is the big flaw with movies theaters right!?! We used to love going here but the service has gone downhill and the place needs updating. Very slow and they only brought one drink (a soda), and we had to ask for the second one which then took forever. Seats can use updating as well, pretty gross! read more

One of the coolest theaters I've been to in a while. The atmosphere inside was great, with a full bar, dessert bar, and a place where you could order food. It was a pretty cool setup. The seats were comfortable, and overall, it was a great experience. My only complaint was the service. The servers never came by to ask if I wanted to order any food, so I'm not sure if that's a service you have to purchase with your ticket. Other than that, it's a great place to watch a movie, and I would definitely come back. read more

Sad to say this place has gone downhill. Upon entering the lobby to pick up my tickets the worker asked to check my tiny cross body for food. We found our seats easily. The seats were sticky and worn out. We ordered the butter and jalapeño popcorn. The popcorn used to be absolutely delicious. It was super salty and the kennels were tiny. I have been to RoadHouse Cinemas many times over the past four years and I can honestly say that it just keeps getting better and better. They have the nicest newest most comfortable reclining seats. Perfect light ambient lighting for ordering food and drinks while watching a movie. The sound in the theater is unbelievably amazing. What I find to be the most impressive and surprising is how great their food menu is and the quality of food is just as good. The menu has been designed for everybody to find something that they like. Even if you are chasing a five star Michelin menu they have a few items on there that are definitely elevated next level dishes to give you a good kiss of what you are looking for. This time it stood out to me. The most was Xavier. He was so nice helpful, and kind. When he saw that there was a large line to get popcorn bagged he made sure that he stepped in and got everybody taken care of. The staff here is amazing. The food is amazing. The movie theater is amazing and the desserts are homemade some of the best cheesecake in town and they do a lot of character theme to desserts for the movies that are released at the time.! they also usually have a great Photo Booth set up for the most popular recent release for kids to make sure that they get the upmost out of their family experience here ! Hands down My favorite movie theater in Arizona. The food quality is constant, they do move themed meal specials. The popcorn is like no other my favorite is the Glazed and confused with extra butter. The waiters and waitresses come to your set and take your order and bring your food and drinks right to your seats. The over all theater gives you a wild wild west vibes. upon arrival You see a big water tank that makes you think of Will Smith in the beginning of Wild Wild west, and as you enter into the building, you have to your right a nice stage for Lizzie. My husband and I had her afternoon date at the theater on Saturday, August 30th early afternoon at 3 PM. This location was further out, but we decided to take a splurge since it was the holiday weekend . And we purchased our tickets online and saw that they had a restaurant another options available to order. This cinema is surrounded by lots of activities, restaurants, and stores . Once we parked, we walked in and spoke with a nice young gentleman to show our tickets and he explained to us that if we would like to place any order so we will be assigned a Pacific server to come place our order . I server came up to us right away. The seating was very comfortable lots of room and we ordered two different flavors of popcorn, half-and-half a soda and nachos. The prices can range from $10 and up depending on what you order. The popcorn comes in a large bowl and you could get a bag of popcorn to go for free upon leaving. In addition when you order a fountain drink, they give you a large cup once you're in the theater and to go you get a smaller cup to go. The nachos was tasty and I heard they have other good food choices as well. And someone sitting next to us said they make homemade desserts have gelato as well of your choosing and have other good food choices as well because they ordered the lemon drop drink and pizza and sandwiches . Once we finished our movie, we went over to the counter to ask for to go popcorn and we could pick two different flavors than what we had previously or keep it the same and we had our fountain drink to go, but just wish the cup was a little bit larger Same as the one that we received during our movie. Really different movie experience at Roadhouse as we got to watch Ballerina in our very own private theater! The private theater has 8 seats, each seat was $10.45. You can rent out the private room 2 weeks ahead, but if you don't make the deadline, then you'll have to opt for buying all the seats if you want a private experience! For my cocktail, I got the strawberry Fields forever, and I can't say that the bartender working during that time was generous with her alcohol pour. I'm a lightweight, but I couldn't even taste a bit of alcohol in my drink. Although Roadhouse is a theater, when you first enter, it's set up like a restaurant-bar, so you can seat yourself at the bar or get a seat at one of the tables- quite convenient! I also ordered the GF BBQ chicken (cauliflower crust), and it was excellent! The crust was crispy and the flavors were packing! That was the best dish I had there! For popcorn, I tried the mix of butter and jalapeno, and it was ok. It was actually pretty dry as far as popcorn is concerned. Reclining seats/sofas were very comfy! Since the room only has an 8 seat capacity, the movie screen was smaller than the normal big movie theater experience, but it fit the room nicely! Temperature of the room was just right! It didn't feel like an operating room, that's for sure! Service was great! We waited a little long for our first food and drink order, but after that, everything went smoothly, and fantastically! We checked again this morning--less than 24 hours before Friday night--and the schedule is still not posted. Me and my boyfriend came here for date night. The facility is really nice when you walk in. We had our tickets bought online, which is an easy process. It was about $30 for both of our tickets. The process of pushing a button and getting waited on in the theater was pretty easy. We got to the movie pretty early so it wasn't super disruptive. We also ordered a dessert during the movie and the process was okay. The menu here is bigger than I expected. There's a lot of different choices, some simple and some crazier than others. I kept my order simple and got some chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. The chicken tenders were alright, those are kinda hard to mess up. You get a good amount of food with the dish, I didn't even finish my plate. My boyfriend got a burger and he said it was pretty good too, however, I didn't try it. My favorite part of our experience was my cocktail! It was basically a cookies cream milkshake spiked with alcohol. It was really good! Just note, there is a 3 drink limit when ordering. Regular drinks come with 1 free refill. For dessert we ordered a cannoli. I was not a fan of it and neither was my boyfriend. It had a sour orange taste to it that also tasted very fake. We each took one bite then left it alone. The popcorn was also okay, we got a buttered popcorn and it comes in a big bowl! But I have definitely had better tasting theater popcorn before. I did use the restroom here and everything was clean and stocked. At the end of the movie a waiter will bring you a bill so you can pay for everything (they do take your card beforehand to have on file). I was charged on my card twice, one of the charges just being stuck in pending. However, even when transactions are pending I can't use the money. It was a little inconvenient but the extra pending charge disappeared about a couple days later. Overall, the experience is cool for a first time thing. If I ever returned I would stick with a cocktail and just some candy. But I do prefer the food and treats at other theaters. But nothing is holding me back from returning. read more

We went to Roadhouse Cinema today for the first time and enjoyed the movie experience. There is an extensive food and drink menu served in the lobby and at your very comfortable reclining seats. Several of these theaters in Scottsdale have since gone out of business over the last several years (Movie Grill and i-Pic) so it was a pleasure to once again enjoy the full service movie experience . I really didn't know what to expect, especially after reading some of the more recent reviews. I'm wondering if some of the negative reviews depend on which theater you're in for your movie. I was pleasantly surprised because I had no idea what to expect. One of my friends invited me to see Bride Hard, as she loves going to see movies at this theater. President of the roadhouse cinemas fan club!! Seats are super comfy, theatre is always clean, everyone is so nice and great at their jobs. The live music in the lobby/bar area is always such a nice touch. Love that they support the local community in this way and many others. Is the food the most amazing thing ever? No, but it's still pretty good. The Cobb salad is my go-to. Love an affogato during an early/midday movie :) OH - the popcorn is actually the best ever. Get the white cheddar mixed with the caramel corn! I always get the t-shirt which gives me free popcorn all year. Best deal ever. New cocktails - I would skip honestly. Road house??? More like ROACH HOUSE. Saw a movie tonight. Service was ok the staff was nice but it took forever to get our items and we had to take it to go. Food was absolutely not good by any means. Then mid movie towards the end - BAMM - German cockroach runs along one of our tray tables. It scampers away and we couldn't see where it went in the dark. We were so grossed out and told one of the waitresses and she didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I'm not watching a movie again unless it's here!! My love for roadhouse cinema is unmatched. This is the place to go. If you love comfort, food, and drinks this is definitely the spot for you. Pro tip - make sure you come around 10 mins before your movie to the put the orders in. I will admit that sometimes the service can be a hit or miss. I've been here a few times now that I know if you come late you must order immediately or you can risk getting your food mid movie and that's not fun! The drinks are also very delicious and they have a happy hour that you definitely should take advantage of. Sometimes they even do fun raffles and giveaways if you go to one of their featured movies too! Overall this is such an amazing theater and I HIGHLY recommend it. Oh! Unfortunately this week's box office drops weren't enough to entice us to go out. I remembered one film I missed on the release called Heretic. It looked interesting so when I looked up the local theaters most of the chains dropped it. Luckily Roadhouse still had it so we decided to come see it. Walking in the vibe was great. To the right was the restaurant/ bar to the left was the box office and concessions. Go further back you'll hit the auditoriums. The dessert menu looked amazing but I was so full already I skipped it. The seats were the lovely recliners. The offer service at your seat with menus should you decide to dine and watch your movie. They take the food to your seat. The sound and the projection quality was pretty decent. Overall it was a great experience. They really decorated the place giving it a very nice vibe especially throughout the halls. Overall I had a great experience and will consider returning the next time I'm in the area. read more

My family and I used to enjoy coming to Roadhouse. We LOVE the white cheddar popcorn and the food menu has something for each of us. The last two times we've noticed that the quality and service has gone down. My purse was searched and a paper bracelet placed over the straps. I looked around and other women walked in without having their purse checked and didn't have the tag. On this day we ignored it, because my kids wanted to see the movie. We ordered all the food, sodas, and popcorn that everyone wanted. Two weeks ago, my purse was checked again and the tag placed on it. Same thing, other women not being stopped, and no tag on their purses. In the theater, the movie was blurry and no one attempted to adjust it. We asked several times to no avail. Also, the chicken tenders tasted like pure grease. We won't be back. I don't like being profiled. Such a shame, because we really used to enjoy this experience. read more

The food is great with lots of variety (although my favorite item was taken off the menu) they have great desserts especially the shakes, they are a must have my my movie experience. I would recommend you buy them before your movie because a lot of cases, my drinks are forgotten about by the servers so to escape the hassle, just get them with your popcorn at concessions. The seating is a comfortable recliner and perfect for date night. Honestly the only thing I would critique would be the servers and how often they forget things or get items out to the customers. read more
