Stopped by today for dinner while my fam bam and I are staying here for the weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge and we were in the mood for pasta and wings. The service was very quick and our server was so sweet and attentive! I love the ambiance. It was pretty spacious as well. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for starters, my son got buffalo wings, my husband got chili lime chicken bowl, and I got the grilled chicken Alfredo. All of the food was yummy! I will say the wings could be a little more crispy (just our personal preference). Other than that everything else was great! I just wish they had more steak options for being a steak house, but they did offer 1 steak meal. I would check this place out if you are ever here. Yes - I'm actually giving a restaurant located within Great Wolf Lodge 4 stars! I would not make Barnwood a destination, but if you are staying at GWL, this is not a bad option if you don't want to leave the property... I was pleasantly surprised with my experience on a recent Saturday night! I had a party of five... me, my two kids, and two of their friends. I made a reservation on Yelp, and our table was ready a few minutes after our reservation time... Isaiah was our server and took great care of us... We found service extremely attentive and the food was not bad! We ordered wings and artichoke dip as appetizers and the kids liked the wings so much, we went for a second order. Of course, once that came, they were no longer interested -- go figure... kids! For entrees, the kids all ordered from the kids menu: a cheeseburger, mac & cheese and buttered noodles. I had the salmon. Everyone did pretty well! I opted not to have a cocktail, but their adult drink menu had plenty to offer... Kids enjoyed Shirley Temples and lemonade. I also found the pricing to be pretty reasonable... all things considered. All of the above and we were out the door for around $125. So once again, don't go out of your way to go here, but if you're staying at GWL and want a decent meal, you can't go wrong at Barnwood! read more

It's a restaurant within Great Wolf Lodge - don't have wildly high expectations so you won't be disappointed. Our server (Brandon) was very friendly, pleasant and personable. Menu was compact, though there were some standard kids options. Portion sizes were decent, fries were tasty, food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My "steak frites" were a bit dry, but I didn't have terribly high expectations. We didn't get dessert but there were some decent-looking options. We first started coming to Barnwood a few years ago, and what I appreciated then was the convenience of having a nice sit-down dining option right inside Great Wolf Lodge without needing to drive anywhere. At that time, the food was just okay -- not terrible, but nothing memorable. On our most recent visit, however, I was impressed. The restaurant has really stepped up with better food quality and improved service. The new menu is a big upgrade, and both my kids and I enjoyed our meals. It feels like Barnwood has made a real effort to improve, and it shows. Convenient, family-friendly, and much more enjoyable than in the past -- I'm glad we gave it another try. read more

I don't know what people expect here with their one star reviews... we dined on Sunday 11-14-21. I didn't take pics cause I was so hungry and tired after a long drive from Vegas. Tanner gave us great service. Quick and efficient. Food came out fast - Caesar salad added chicken and a chicken quesadilla with no chipotle sauce. Came out correct and my quesadilla was great. It tasted very good and worked for a late late dinner after we got into town and checked into great wolf lodge. This experience outshined the actual stay at the lodge. Staying at Wolf Creek Lodge March 7-10th. First night here we walked down and were seated quickly. Once sat down we had a waitress walk by us back and forth over 5 times without so much as making eye contact. On the last time by I stopped her and asked if she was our server. She said no, but that she'd send someone over, this was already 10 minutes into our wait. Another 10 minutes pass and my 8 year old daughter, who is starving btw is asking why we haven't been given water and that she was so hungry. Finally we stood up and started heading out when a waitress that just looked annoyed came over. By then we'd had it and headed off property to get sushi. I'm paying a very large amount of money to stay at this lodge, you'd think I'd at least be able to get a meal or some common courtesy from the restaurant waitstaff. Do better, this is not acceptable. We'll see how the next 3 days go. Can't comment on food quality because we never even got water! read more

What a great place!! So lucky this is here at Great Wolf Lodge!! Hubby had ribs which he enjoyed! I loved my wild mushroom papadelle (sp)--pasta haha. Soooo yum! Loved how rich and creamy it was and the earthyness from the mushrooms. The asparagus was a lovely addition!! The kids each tried items from the kids menu and 3 diff kids coolers. This restaurant is no longer good. We went twice, in 2021 and 2022 and really enjoyed the food and drinks. Tried it again Sep 2023 and every item was awful. I would assume there is no longer an executive chef in charge. The Alfredo pasta was like lightly flavored milk, with dry reheated chicken, and hard broccoli. Other meals including appetizers, burger, and kids meals were just not good. Comparable to a low cost chain restaurant. Super disappointing as it was nice to have an option with finer dining in the hotel. read more

Great service, delicious high-quality food w/pleasant modern decor. I'm not sure why this place isn't getting great reviews. My boyfriend and I ate here 3 times with our 3 small children during our stay at Great Wolf Lodge. We were surprised by the quality and flavor profiles of the food. Being from the San Francisco area, we know what good food is and we genuinely enjoyed our meals. I got the filet with blue cheese crust on top and a side of mac n cheese and street corn. All of it was delicious! Meat was high quality and flavorful. Mac n cheese tastes like Stouffer's frozen mac n cheese - in a good way! The street corn was particularly flavorful; I got it all 3 times we ate here. My boyfriend got the rib eye one night and the rack of ribs the other two nights. He said it was excellent as well. And it's an easy place to go w kids bc they supply kids menus and placemats to color. For dessert, I highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie skillet! It's ooey, gooey, and delicious!!! read more

Don't go out of your way to eat here. In fact, there are many other nearby places that will be better. We went there for late dinner on a Wednesday. First, it was really really noisy. We couldn't hear ourselves talk. Secondly, while our server was nice (hence 2 stars and not 1), the order came out wrong. Thirdly, our apps came out at same time as our entrees. It's a shame the food wasn't good because I feel this place could be better if they didn't precook or use cheap ingredients in there food menu items. Ordered the Wedge salad, I got bacon bits, onion slices, and sliced Cherry tomatoes, with a WHOLE HEAD of lettuce. Was a first ... Never seen it done that way :: Ordered the kids Mac and cheese, was scary, almost looked like it wasn't gonna survive the next hour as it was old and mushy. The $9.99 burger had cheese on it and that's it.. so I added Lettuce to it from my salad. The kids blue drink was not well .. it also needs help as the kids couldn't drink it. The mushroom pendelle noodle dish - pre cooked to be a pasty type of sauce lacking mushrooms.. ugh I would avoid this place unless you absolutely have to eat here.. also the tacos beware of the Packaged cilantro that looks like it has BACTERIA growing on it... guess you can take the chance though as the employees seem to not mind feeding it to people.. While our food good, the service went from disappointing, to frustrating. The restaurant only had 3 other tables occupied at the time we came in. All of the service staff were leaning on the back walls near the kitchen, a majority looking miserable to be there. After waiting quite some time, my husband went back up to the hostess to ask who our server was for the evening, and the hostess had to go get her on the back wall. We placed our drink order and dinner order at the same time as we'd had plenty of time to make our selections. The food came out promptly and was good, but our drinks never came. The server never returned to our table to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. Finally at the end of the meal, my husband had to get up to go get our server who was back to leaning on the wall near the kitchen to ask for our bill. When we got the bill, we'd been charged for all drinks we never received, so we politely asked them to he removed. There was no apology for the over sight, nor a single smile. It's a shame the service was so poor as the food was pretty good, but we don't want to feel like we're a burden to someone's day when we're spending good money to dine in your restaurant. Some dishes are good. Others are not. The half-chicken was dry. Ribs were really good. The cookie desert didn't taste like a cookie or pizookie. It tasted like graham cracker crust with chocolate chips. They also need to use hot fudge on that and the s'mores dessert instead of Hershey's syrup. Calamari was great but it's a small serving for an app. For the price, they should give the kids two meatballs for their kids meal. Overall, it's decent but overpriced. They cut some corners to save money and shouldn't. read more

We had such a good experience at this restaurant with my family. We came to eat around 5pm on a Friday and it wasn't busy! But by the time we left, 6pm, they were packed! Our food was very delicious and my husband was obsessed with their fries! So much that we ate here again the following day. Our meals were prepared to our liking and our kids loved the kids meal. Their portion sizes are also really good! Service was slow but the staff was really friendly and we didn't mind the wait especially when the food tasted really good! The place is very nice looking and the menu makes it sound like it will be delicious. But the food was seriously lacking and way overpriced for what it was. They don't include important details, like things are smothered in barbecue sauce, or it's a split chicken on your plate not just chicken breasts. The sweet potato hash was soggy cold tater tots. The chicken was rubbery with thick gooey skin on it still. The burgers we're fairly good but needed some sort of sauce on them. I was excited to eat at the Barnwood that is attached to the Great Wolf Lodge. I looked through Yelp and saw some pretty low reviews so I was hesitant but I saw some pretty good photos and had decided on the burger and fries. Here is where things started to go south for us. We were able to get a table right away but then we were on our own. We sat and we sat until someone finally addressed us. She dropped the menus and rushed away. I know that she rushed away because she was busy but a quick conversation would have let us understand things better. We sat for a bit longer and she made her way back. 1 hour into this and we are barely getting our drinks coming in. After awhile longer the food arrived but we were well beyond frustrated by this point. Sitting in this loud restaurant with little to no service is no way to spend your $100 at GWL. I would recommend going to eat offsite. The worst part of it all was the food was actually pretty dang good but it comes at the price of a 3 hour dinner with 3 kids who are tired and cranky.
