I don't know what people expect here with their one star reviews... we dined on Sunday 11-14-21. I didn't take pics cause I was so hungry and tired after a long drive from Vegas. Tanner gave us great service. Quick and efficient. Food came out fast - Caesar salad added chicken and a chicken quesadilla with no chipotle sauce. Came out correct and my quesadilla was great. It tasted very good and worked for a late late dinner after we got into town and checked into great wolf lodge. This experience outshined the actual stay at the lodge. Hubby had the salad and pretty much finished the plate. We have no real complaints other than yea a bit pricey but not unexpected.

The service we had was very fast. We were seated quickly and acknowledged within a few minutes by the server. Once we placed our order the food and drinks came out quickly. Everything was served hot and fresh. This place must be very accustomed to serve hungry families fast. I recommend the Great Wolf LIT for an adult beverage, it will help you relax after a stressful day pleasing your kids. You deserve it, your a great parent.

The service is great. You know the staff is the least heard and first to work their butts off. I appreciate the bartender making me a drink and knowing that it was an experiment and the bartender gets two thumbs up. Ya the restaurant could up its game for the price. Come on. Be more then. Mediocre. Be the event. With that said I think the back staff are doing great with what they're given. 4 stars the staff service

Was here last night we received excellent service our waitress Leila sorry not sure if that was her name. She was very attentive and answered all our questions thank u. For the food it was just ok... my steak was a little bland And my brothers pasta had no flavor at all. We didn't complain just saying. Dessert was delicious In my opinion I would come back to eat here, but glad I tried

Barnwood Restaurant is located inside The Great Wolf Lodge in Scottsdale, Az. We had a big group and everything was awesome: great service and delicious food. Thank you from our entire group!

What a great place!! So lucky this is here at Great Wolf Lodge!! Hubby had ribs which he enjoyed! I loved my wild mushroom papadelle (sp)--pasta haha. Soooo yum! Loved how rich and creamy it was and the earthyness from the mushrooms. The asparagus was a lovely addition!! The kids each tried items from the kids menu and 3 diff kids coolers. They recommend the berry and the dragon... Not the dreamsicle!! My mojito was on point! It was mild and fresh!

Theeee best customer service and theee best food. You can drink while waiting for a table. Little pricey but I think it's worth how good the food and service is.

The service and food here was just exceptional! If you're staying at the Great Wolf Lodge (or even want to indulge in some delicious food) 10/10 I would recommend this place. I unfortunately was too hungry to take a picture of mine and my husbands food, but did take a picture of their soft warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and it's delicious!

Street corn - soooooo good! I got it 3 nights in a row!

Great service, delicious high-quality food w/pleasant modern decor. I'm not sure why this place isn't getting great reviews. My boyfriend and I ate here 3 times with our 3 small children during our stay at Great Wolf Lodge. We were surprised by the quality and flavor profiles of the food. Being from the San Francisco area, we know what good food is and we genuinely enjoyed our meals. I got the filet with blue cheese crust on top and a side of mac n cheese and street corn. All of it was delicious! Meat was high quality and flavorful. Mac n cheese tastes like Stouffer's frozen mac n cheese - in a good way! The street corn was particularly flavorful; I got it all 3 times we ate here. My boyfriend got the rib eye one night and the rack of ribs the other two nights. He said it was excellent as well. And it's an easy place to go w kids bc they supply kids menus and placemats to color. For dessert, I highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie skillet! It's ooey, gooey, and delicious!!!

The place is small and intimate, so a great place to grab a drink while staying at the hotel. I've been here a couple of times and have experienced mostly great service. Overall, it's worth the visit if you're staying at the hotel and you want a nice cocktail.

What looks like free parking in the self-parking area actually isn't. There's a sign that says you have to pay for parking with a QR code. Parking is only free for 30 minutes. I called the hotel to inquire about parking and they didn't answer. After walking to the front desk, we were told that valet is validated at the speakeasy. I'm not a fan of valet, but I'll take free valet service (minus the tip) over paying more for self parking. Now, let's get to the good stuff. As the self-appointed king of speakeasies, I'm back with another one. Ambiance: (4.5/5): I won't give all of the clues away, but walk to the third floor, look for a book shelf, and you're on the right track. Once you get inside, you'll find an intimate speakeasy. We're talking seating for 12 or so people or so, tops. I imagine getting a seat on a weekend is quite tough, so take that into account and make a reservation. When you do, you'll find out that there's a $25 cancellation fee per person if you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation. I understand that no shows negatively impact restaurants/bars, but I absolutely hate when the cost of doing business is passed off on customers. I'm reliable, but if I'm going with someone else, and they cancel, now I'm in a tough spot. Anyways, I loved the ambiance at The Madam. Think dark wood, sophistication, and some cowboy vibes. The seating was comfortable, too. Service (4.5/5): Minus the parking snafu, our bartender did an absolute awesome job taking care of us. She was friendly and attentive throughout. They were perfecting a new drink menu and even offered us two drinks on the house. Which was much appreciated! We were lucky, for sure. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (4/5): When I go to a speakeasy, I'm looking for creativity. You'll find that here for the most part, though I wish the list of craft cocktails was a little larger. There were only two or so cocktails that struck my fancy. I went with the one with green chartreuse, which is always a treat. But, when I'm at a speakeasy, I'm hoping that at least half of the selection intrigues me. Despite the limited selection, the cocktails are well made and have an interesting blend of flavors. The Madam is a true speakeasy (no signage and an ambiance which is true to the history of speakeasies), which makes them a winner in my book.

Boy was I wrong. The service was atrocious. We actually had to go up and refill our own waters because we couldn't get our server at our table. I almost felt sorry for her as it appeared her section was completely across the other side of the restaurant and they must've just thrown her our table since it was close to the bar. Please note that we made dinner reservations a week in advance, which most people are walk-ins. When we finally did get drinks that another server came over to deliver, he seemed like it was his first day as he was having a hard time setting them down. None of the drinks were full. It looked like they all had several sips taken out of them. I don't know about you, but that's not typically how I have received cocktails in a martini glass before. Then it was time for entrées. We ordered appetizers, the shrimp cocktail, soup, and the tuna tartare. All of them turned out pretty good so I was hopeful. Then the entrées came. I had the seafood risotto which I was very much looking forward to. It was greasy and cold. I don't know about you, but I like my risotto warm. My friend had a simple chicken Caesar salad and the lettuce was wilted and the chicken was barely cooked. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with our meal. At this point, you could tell the staff knew we were not happy when we were having to get up and get her own waters. There was conversation amongst them looking over at our table so we started getting a bit more attention. Our server came over and would act like nothing was ever wrong. There was no apology necessary apparently. When we went to pay the bill, the only option on there is 20% plus for gratuity. So I guess she gets 20% for lack of service. We definitely will not be back. We did, however, go to Saint urban which is a sister property right next-door afterwards for drinks. The wine was a couple dollars cheaper and yeah, ambience was way better. Not to mention the service. I can't wait to go back and eat there. So I guess in summary the restaurant group will still come out ahead as I will be dining at their other properties but this one I will not be back.

The hostess set us down immediately. We ordered the ribs and glass of wine, the fried fish, and the butter cake for Desert Our whole dinner experience. It was probably an hour tops. Which was fine because we were hungry. The ribs came out so fast. And my Husbands fish came out immediately. After. And the ribs were super tender. Came with a side of onion rings. My Husbands fish and chips was a fillet portion of fish and reasonable amount of steak fries with the tiny portion of coleslaw and tartar sauce. It was very very good food. The wine was fine. Our service was very fast, but but good. I was given a nice warm hand towel to clean my hands. If I wanted to use my fingers to eat my food. Which was nice, but butter cake was absolutely delicious. Came with a huge portion of ice cream. I had leftovers which was boxed for me, which I love that. The prices were very reasonable. I thought we would absolutely go back if we were in the area. The ambience is very nice like every Scott restaurant. I would definitely give it a try if you're in the area.

Parking wasn't an issue in the large, complimentary lot they share with a bunch of other businesses. Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much your typical well-kept bar and restaurant. We sat at the bar, though there is plenty of table and booth seating if that's more your jam. Service (4/5): Our bartender was new but she was super friendly and accommodating. I had to grab her attention a few times, but overall, solid. Drinks (4/5): One of the nice things about The Parlay is that they have happy hour every day until 6. We took advantage of it for the last 45 minutes or so. Happy hour consists of discounts off of their cocktails and appetizers, which both are large lists. I enjoyed two drinks off of the happy hour menu including one with a huge smoke bubble. My third time having a drink like this and always a good time. I think the bartender got the ingredients off a slight bit, but she'll get better with practice. Food (3/5): The food is a hit and a miss. I had three appetizers: the fried avocado, the steak bites, and the pretzels with fondue cheese. The best of the bunch is the fried avocado. Think of an avocado deep fried in the same way you see a bunch of foods at the carnival. Pretty much anything is good in this format, am I right? Beyond the avocado, it was served on a bed of a corn and crema slaw of sorts which was delicious. Good portion size. In the middle were the pretzels. I love cheese so this is my type of appetizer. The soft pretzels were soft and buttered well. Solid but a smaller portion size than I anticipated. And lastly, the steak bites. They're served with flat fries and drizzled with a sweet sauce. Good portion. The problem. I ordered it medium rare and it was well done. You can't mess up steak like this. You shouldn't even serve it. The chef messed up so he or she should have started over. I'm not the type that returns dishes so I ate it, but it took away from the dish a lot. While I wouldn't run to come back to The Parlay, if happy hour is involved, and I'm in the area, I'd check it out again. Hopefully they can work out some of the kinks.
