1st visit - The Two 'Ol Chefs food truck posted up outside of my job a while back…read more It's a metro food truck I hadn't visited so it was obviously something I couldn't resist. I browsed their menu ahead of time on their Facebook page. They seem to be really good about posting their weekly schedule of locations for lunch and some afternoons/evenings out there too. I'm human so sometimes I get a little judgmental from the jump. I looked at their prices and started second guessing my lunch choice. I'm kind of a big eater and while I understand the small business model, overhead, etc. I'm always thinking about bang for my buck too. I decided on the beef brisket sandwich served on a hoagie roll with a drizzle of horseradish sauce ($10) and a large order of onion rings ($6). The staff was great. Personable and provided updates as I waited. They have pagers available if you'd rather wait inside your car instead of out in the weather. They accept cash or cards. The menu is easy to read and the condiments are staged near the window. The wait was short and the portion sizes sure didn't leave me hanging. I was asked if I wanted jalapeños mixed in. I thought she meant in the meat of the sandwich... Nope. Lightly breaded and fried jalapeño slices with the onion rings! The sandwich was STACKED with perfectly cooked lean tender brisket. The horseradish sauce was light and not overpowering. The fried onion rings and jalapeños were really good. My stomach will pay for that 2nd choice later though...along with anyone sharing space with me. The serving of rings was so large I couldn't finish them. If you're into the food truck scene I'd highly recommend tracking Two 'Ol Chefs down. Good stuff! Honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever gotten from a truck. 2nd visit - The Two 'Ol Chefs food truck posted up outside of my job again. Had to try the double smashburger... Dayum! Someone told me after my first visit that their burgers rocked.... They sure do. Fries were hot and the burger was juicy! Service was top notch. Plastic knife for a size perspective on the patties. This truck does it right!

Everything on the menu is tempting, but the one thing on their Facebook page that screamed out to me... " You have to try this!" Was their quesa taco... I couldn't exactly see in the truck, but how I imagine these are prepared is... A tortilla is placed down on the grill... Piled with cheese until it melts and overflows and the edges of the cheese start to crisp up on the cooking surface. Or maybe it starts cheese down, the tortilla is placed on top, and then it's turned? Then the meat, onion, and cilantro are piled on it. It's scooped up and placed in a serving container... I ordered one al pastor (marinated pork) quesa taco, two birria (slow cooked tender beef in a adobo style marinate) quesa tacos, a cup of consume, and a bottle of Coke. $13 before tip. Service at the truck was very good at ordering, during payment, and pick up. I've often wondered why I didn't see any videos, or pictures, of someone eating their item after dipping it into the consume. Well... The area of my goatee between my lower lip and chin now has the same color tint as a certain prominent leader... While the taste was phenomenal it's not a good look on me. The truck has an area with tables and chairs under a canopy off to the side. To properly enjoy the consume you don't want to be in your car. Forego the AC and sweat it out if you have a long commute. Anyone know a good detailer? Just kidding. All possible major catastrophes were avoided today. Aside from being a messy endeavor everything was cooked perfect. I can find no fault with my quesa tacos or visit in general. I'd definitely order these again. The one thing I might change... On the menu board I'd erase "(birria broth)" beside consume and replace it with "(nectar of the gods)". It's that good. As the quesa tacos appeared to already have enough consume from the meat, and I was making a mess, I used it sparingly from the cup with my meal. To get a good feel for it I grabbed a piece of white sandwich bread when I got home and ate it while dipping into the consume. Concentrated beef flavor, an enjoyable seasoning, a little grease/fat added to the richness, cilantro floated on the surface. I don't know what goodness lies beneath, but what I have left sure won't go to waste...and I'll find out. Might be dipping some grilled cheese sandwiches into it later tonight... I didn't try the hot sauces. With the consume there was no need. Theyre in the refrigerator. I'll use it for something in the next day or so. Good stuff.

The dude with the weird haircut gives me attitude and walks away so I ask one of the other workers if I can get a refund. She completely ignores me and goes back to the kitchen. 5 minutes later they come out with my order and ask if I'm sure I don't want the order. No I'm good I don't want an order you just made after I asked for a refund. The guy was extremely rude saying there's other places I can go, and that they were fully packed(which they were not) and that they were super busy and that other people had waited longer. I walked in with two other gentlemen who got their food and were gone already. They then told me I had to request a refund online since that's where I ordered, but the site doesn't offer a cancellation that I saw. Do not recommend this place. Rude and seemingly lazy staff. If I Could give negative stars, i definitely would.

I recommend the milanesa one!! Their tacos are made of homemade tortillas. You only need one because they are ENORMOUS. Very few Mexican places have good horchata or aguas frescas because they are usually watered down with all the ice. I recommend the agua de melón and agua de horchata. This is all good quality food. They have other traditional dishes from Puebla. Everything is fresh, delicious, and with generous portions. The customer service is phenomenal. They treat you very well! They are approachable, friendly, and patient. It was my first time there and I had a lot of questions. They kindly answered them. They also have a great system. They have speakers and call out your name when your food is ready that way you don't have to stand outside waiting, you can just wait in your car. We showed up at 10:45pm and they still had tons of people ordering food. When you see a lot of people ordering, it's a good sign. I also love supporting this business because they started from the bottom. They used to only cater and sometimes sell at the bailes. They worked so hard to make this food truck a reality. They also support local non profits. They always give back to the community. Support local!

She teased that I wouldn't be interested since I'd just come back from Mexico, but of course we went anyway. At first, we were disappointed to find a fireworks tent had taken their spot. A couple of texts and calls later, we learned they'd be back the next day. Two days later, we finally made it -- and wow. First bite reaction: mind‑blowingly good. The food is incredible, but what makes this place unforgettable is the people behind it. Whether it's the staff, family, or owners (I didn't ask), they radiate big smiles and genuine gratitude for doing what they love . If I could bottle one thing from our Mexican neighbors, it would be their JOY -- that positive outlook that shines no matter what's happening in the world. This taco truck has it, and it's contagious. So here's my verdict: line up. I rarely say this, but this spot is a NEVER miss. Try it once, and you'll be planning your return before you finish your taco! times ten. A rare rating from me.
