I stopped in for the first time as I've lived away from Tampa for a while. I was excited to come here as I saw great reviews! There's a lot to look at and decide what to get. We ended up just buying a small box (totaled to ~$23). There's so many exciting things to choose from. My favorites were the Nutella Katayif (the slight crunch from the Katayif was so good) and the Halva (it was creamy, almost like peanut butter). I've heard many great things about roasted and I finally dropped in for a visit. Here's how the experience went , first the selection is enormous , I mean there is just about every middle eastern dessert you could imagine as well as candy. Even 5 years in I forget to be a little Yelp savvy so next time I'll take photos of the shop but let's get into the baklava. It's freaking great and I've had some impressive baklava , I loved the fact that there wasn't rose flavor infused because I like to taste the butter and the pistachio so that is a huge plus . A great option for arabic desserts! I tried the bounty turkish delights and chocolate baklava. I'd never had turkish delights before, but I can't imagine them being much better than this. The outside is nice and chewy, and I absolutely love the candy inside-- they almost remind me of mochi, but I think I like these much better. The baklava was also amazing, and I highly recommend heating it up just for a bit in the microwave to make it deliciously gooey. When I came in and saw all the rolls on display, I thought you could only reasonably get one flavor of turkish delight, but turns out you can get one small slice of everything if you want (I still got all bounty ones though because I was too committed at this point)! Definitely get an assortment if you stop by here. The store itself was super clean and organized, as well as having a lot more options than I expected-- they have everything from gummies to coffee to spices to snacks of all kinds. Next time I come here, I'll definitely have to try the bug assortment of nuts they have. They also have a TON of flavors of turkish delight, including both authentic and americanized so you're bound to find something you like. The wrapping and packaging for everything is also impeccable, it's all really neat and pretty so anything here would make a great gift for someone (or yourself). What a beautiful display of food and sweets. The store is ultra modem and clean. Employees are helpful and patient. First time in and we explored everything there. The employee handled all of our question with patience and kindness. The sweets are not in your face sweet. So nothing too sweet but all quite tasty. They have Boston Bales Beans too. This whole plaza is worth stopping in for. My wife and I love to stop in for hot pot at the restaurant next door and then come to Roasted afterwards. They have an assortment of turkish delights that they update with new flavors on a regular basis. There is also a bunch of grab and go house made chocolates and gummies. The people are super friendly and they will occasionally give a small sample if you are unsure of what you are looking to get. It is also very well light and clean inside. If you have a nut allergy, I would probably steer clear though as they have all kinds of nuts everywhere. read more

Beautiful place, bright, clean, and inviting. This place give you the feel of Turkey with the fresh Turkish Delights, that I have only seen in Istanbul, until I went to Roasted. They other delicious candies and an awesome selection of roasted nuts and snack mixes. They also have some fresh juice and coffee drinks. The mint lemonade is the best with plenty of fresh mint. Hidden gem. Came here one day because I was going to another business in the same plaza. Since it is such a drive to come to this side of Tampa, I decided to check out this place because it had amazing reviews on Yelp. So glad I did. Amazing customer service and beautiful display of treats. Tried a few samples of Turkish delights and baklava. Purchased two boxes worth to try and anything with pistachio was amazing. The sweets and candy was all AH-MA-ZING!!! I haven't tried the coffee yet but it looked really good. The lemon mint drink (I forget what it's called) was also to die for. Literal perfection right here. It was super cute and upscale as well. The people working there were super sweet. I asked the person behind the counter what would be good and they explained everything. It was my first time trying foods like that so they asked what kinds of things I liked and recommended from there. I will be going back for sure. Great little shop with homemade baklava and turkish delight as well as fresh roasted nuts, halal sweets, spices and chocolates. All the baklava I've tried in Tampa has been soggy and too sweet. The baklava here still retains crunch from the filo and the nuts, and the sweetness is more moderate. It's as good as I remember having in Greece or Turkey. The turkish delight is beautiful! They have flavors from the expected (pistachio, almond, apricot, pomegranate) to the unexpected (oreo, Twix). I bought up a selection to give to my parents as a gift, as I know they haven't had decent turkish delight in a loooong time. Everything is neatly displayed. I'm grateful that all the dried fruits are the same price, all the gummies are the same price, all the chocolate are the same price, so you can mix and match your bag of gummies. I have been back here three times in the past week! The service is wonderful: We were served turkish coffee the first time my boyfriend and I visited. They had a variety of halal gummies, dried fruits, chocolate, a large collection of roasted nuts, and turkish delights. My ultimate favorite flavors are Pistachio In-n'-out, Katayif, and the Pistachio baklava. Other favorites include coconut nutella, espresso, cocoa, and chocolate baklava. Some of the turkish delights are vegan, mostly the fruit-based ones. Not only are the delights absolutely delicious, they are beautiful and cost less than I anticipated based on the aesthetics! I don't know of any other place nearby that sells these kinds of goods, so definitely give it a try. I promise, they're addicting! read more

Hidden Gem! Nestled in a strip mall off 56th you'll find this little beauty tucked away. The moment you enter you immediately notice the cleanliness of the establishment, absolutely spotless. Moments later we were greeted by the warmest smile from the woman behind the counter. We just happened to be in their by ourselves and she had the time to really help us, and answer the few questions we had about all of the products because Turkish and Jordanian sweets and treats are new to us. The left side of the store is lined with beautiful ceramics, shelf stable offerings, and international snacks. Down the middle you'll find bulk offerings, as much or little as you'd like because it's done by weight. Spices, nougats, chocolates, jellies, gummies! The right side starts with the most gorgeous display of Turkish Delights, that leads into savory snacks, nuts, seeds, and finishes with fresh, roasted coffee, and a slush machine that housed the best Frozen Fresh Mint & Lemonade I've ever had! This lovely clean shop is better then what you might find at the local shuk beautiful displays of all types of Turkish delight if you have not had such a delicacy its time you do. and here it is in Tampa nutty not crazy sweet is what delight is I would like to have tried them all but opted for pomegranate they also have many choices of beautiful little sweet cakes of all sorts baklava being my favorite. they do have drinks some icy like limonana which is mint and lemon and they offer Turkish coffee there is no iced coffee. everything is by the pound so you can choose a lovely assortment of treats. try everything thats my advice very friendly service I can not wait to go back read more

I saw Roasted with a five-star review, and we didn't hesitate to take a 20-minute drive to check the shop. Roasted didn't disappoint us; it exceeded our expectations. The shop has an exquisite interior, and all the treats they have in that shop are so good! My personal favorites are Baklavas and Turkish delights; they taste so heavenly! I bought a variety of different turkish delight, baklava, nuts and gummy candies ... so incredible. The flavors and freshness are unmatched, I never experienced anything like this before?!? Thin, but pillowy layers of nougat embracing familiar (oreo, twix, nutella) and exotic flavors(pomegranate, rose, mint!) How did turkish delight become my favorite treat in the last 3 hours? I just can't say enough about how impressive this store is... any fan of sweets MUST visit this store, but double must if one has halal dietary needs. Roasted! makes the best turkish delight and baklava that I have tasted in all of my travels in the middle east! They are truly wonderous :) Lets start with the baklava as most people who love food know it well. Its not the soggy, cloyingly sweet stuff dripping with syrup that you might find around town. I adored the quality butter and honey used in the baklava. As you might know, baklava is not forgiving at all.  Its all about the butter, honey and roasted nuts!  You just cannot substitute corn syrup and sugar for the deliciousness of real honey. These are carefully crafted, some shaped like a smooth walnut, another like a crispy walnut, and yet another made with deep red layers of hibiscus colored deliciousness. Several look exactly as one might expect of traditional baklava, with bright green ground pistachio layered between crispy, buttery filo, all of which adds up to perfection. The baklava is really fantastic, but the turkish delight is "edible art". Turkish delight is also known as lokum, lokumi or algumi, depending on where its made. Traditional lokum, as I prefer to call it, is often made authentically as a firm slightly gummy candy roll with pistachio nuts. More commonly, you might come across a sheet of translucent, soft and gummy ultra sweet squares with semi believable natural flavors. Not so at Roasted! They roll up paper thin layers of pillowey nougat and flavorful lokum incredibly interspersed with flavorful cremes and nut fillings in a way that I have never seen. The sample box contained 12 pieces of lokum. The pieces are large and easily divided into smaller slices to share and savor though one might be tempted to eat the entire piece.  The color is oftentimes a tip off to the flavor. For example, the pink roll with the brown filling is strawberry lokum with a yummy chocolate filling. The roll containing chunks of dark cookie is made with oreos, which together is far superior than eating oreos any other way. Another has a deep red hibiscus colored paper thin lokum wrapped around roasted cashews. The tart/sweet flavor of the lokum was a delight paired with the mild creamy nuts. Another had a solid hazelnut creme (think nutella) filling encased in in lokum reminiscent of marshmallows. The box also featured a solid nugget of nougat, traditional and classic with a good chew and delicious pistachio nuts. The shipping was impressive with the double boxing and sealed with lashings of seran wrap. There are so few stores that make products that are world-class present in the Tampa Bay area. Roasted! sweets are artistically beautiful and masterful both in appearance and taste comparable in every way to the venerable William Dean Chocolates that always delight me. Its for good reason that Sue Carleton's lovingly written ode to Roasted! landed on the front page of the Tampa Bay Times accompanied by a giant color photo that induced me to order immediately and without hesitation a box each of baklava and turkish delight. The best part? My box included a hand written card by owner Loai Kader with a complimentary chocolate proclaiming me his brother! I am honored.  Needless to say that I will be ordering again soon. read more

Where can I start off this place is amazing. I walked in and was welcomed with a cup of coffee which I was surprised not many places do that. I can say very similar to sees candy and even better . They have so many sweet options that it makes you just keep adding more options. Very well organized location and designed very nice. We were able to try a few samples that I ended up buying. They have an assortment of coffee Turkish coffee Colombian and saudi coffee which is very strong Arabic coffee. Their work is definitely recommend. I would recommend checking this place . I hardly review places on Yelp, but I felt compelled to after my visit to Roasted today. It has been on my list of places to visit for a while, and I'm even more impressed after going today. There is a large selection of Turkish delights that made it hard to decide what to get. I told myself that I'd only have one from the box we got, but I've already eaten a few. The Turkish delights have unique flavors like pomegranate and lotus (which has Biscoff cookies crushed on the outside I believe) and they're absolutely DELICIOUS. The inside of the store has a clean modern look, and everything is labeled. The customer service was excellent; we were asked if we wanted to try anything and offered Turkish coffee too. read more

I've never had turkish delight before, and we came across this place while we searching for a dessert place (on yelp!) after having dinner last night. I'm not usually the adventurous type when it comes to dessert, but the pictures intrigued me so we decided to go. The place is well-lighted and has a welcoming atmosphere, and was super clean! The ladies behind the counter were super nice and very informative, and I was offered a couple of samples of turkish delight, which was a very pleasant surprise. I loved the rich texture and nougat, and I bought only 5 pieces because I was full at the time (which I really regretted the next day because I ate it all, and I was so sad after eating the last one). I feel like I should widen my horizon in terms of flavors, because I chose 4 candy based ones (nutella, m&m, and 2 Oreo) because the wildcard I chose was pineapple, and it tasted WAAAAY better! I am going back next week to try out more of the other fruity (and maybe even something unfamiliar!) flavors, and get more than the measly 5 pieces that I got last night. We also got around half a pound of chocolate, which was nicely wrapped (we didn't try them yet). I am looking forward to trying the Turkish coffee as well!
