My wife and I each ordered Peloton 240 Full Zip Hoodies for a trip to Africa. My jacket pilled WHILE IN THE DUFFLE enroute to Africa. It continued to pill through normal wear during the 2 week trip. My wife's pilled excessively on the elbows during that period. Kuiu's response was: "As pilling is only cosmetic and is not the result of a flawed manufacturing process, this is something that our warranty, unfortunately, does not cover." Never had a fleece pill like this, not from Patagonia, Outdoor Research, Marmot or North Face. I guess I am accustomed to companies that FIELD TEST THEIR GEAR and STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. The Davis and Woodland Ace Hardware did not have any, nor did the Woodland Home Depot. Who knew that the Dixon Ace Hardware would carry them and have them in stock. They set one aside for us and we immediately made the trip to Dixon. The capacitor was waiting for us and the sales person mentioned that they are the only ones in the area that carry items like that. We wandered about the store a bit, it's larger than the Davis Ace. My husband was also looking for a specific drip irrigation plug but they didn't have it in stock. Two sales members helped us look for the item and then they explained that the store will be doing a major re-do in October so they are starting to reduce inventory and the plug seemed to be one of the current reductions. Even so, the store was orderly and well stocked with other items. Our $40 purchase in hand, my husband installed it once we got home, saving probably hundreds of dollars if we had called a HVAC company to diagnose the problem and replace the capacitor. They have a very large selection of good designer shoes...the largest choice of Sam Edelman shoes I've seen in ages. The discounts are good, not great. I ended up choosing a pair of EVA Arizona Birkenstock sandals. At $54.95 they are $5 more than buying on Birkenstock direct website, so no savings especially as free membership allows you free shipping. However, I wasn't sure of my size for this brand so it was helpful to try several pairs out in person. The salespeople here were low key and helpful if asked for assistance. The store was large, cool, well lit and had a large selection. The store was larger than the ones I have gone to in Sacramento. I briefly looked at personal care items and they had a nice selection. Otherwise, we didn't have time to look at much else as we wanted to head home and beat the traffic.
