They already have you for $75 so they enlarge the complexity of the job in the hopes that you're naïve enough to take it, but if you're smart enough to decline it, they still got your $75. The amount of up charging with this company is insane. Simple fixes become these exorbitant outrageously large jobs. They claim to be honest, but it's clearly dishonest business practices. They do not have your best interest in mind. Is 100% better to find a smaller company that's willing to do a good job without trying to drain your bank account.

Nothing was working in them, they were buried tubing which had become clogged and squirrel eaten. Aaron gave me a quote for replacing this part of my system with rising sprinklers. Our spring service this year was started but not completed as a pipe valve (backflow preventer) needed to be replaced. They needed to get a part or tool from their office as the serviceman did not have one in is kit. I had to call and remind them to return over 2 - 3 weeks later so that I could get the system to water the lawn and subsequently they billed me double for the same service. Shameful.. it is relatively simple to do it yourself (see "you-tube"). It is a quick procedure and you'll save about $300 a year

I also engaged them to install mulch and prep the beds as an added fee. They subcontract the irrigation services, and that company was very good, identifying where previously the system had damage that was not identified by my previous service company (extra fee for the repairs). They worked with me as well to adjust the watering setup to preserve new plantings. The GG's services were delivered like clockwork. They are very efficient and complete in all they do. When blowing debris for clean up, my wife was especially pleased that they blew leaves off of our back deck! That was a plus! Since I work from home, I was aware of their comings and goings and the work was always done well. When I had questions, the crew was very responsive to me and contacted the main office when there was some confusion about a schedule that was worked out very nicely. I see the cost of this service as very similar to and competitive with regular HOA costs for "full service" condo or townhouse subdivisions, but this is performed on my 1/4 acre lot. I find great value in this service from The Ground Guys and plan to renew my contract.

The last straw was recently when the exterior pipe had a leak. When the tech came to turn the system on, the issue was discovered. He didn't have the parts to fix so said it would be on another call. A few weeks passed and I didn't hear from them so I called to get them to fix. They came out and fixed this and then installed something that I didn't ask them to fix. I didn't even know what the additional thing was. I called to ask about it and was told the tech said I agreed to it. I wasn't home when the tech came out. I told her tech was lying, I wasn't there. She said the original tech said I told him. I didn't. Left a message for the owner and haven't heard anything. So I ended up having to pay the bill. They charged $150 for something I didn't ask for.
