I would like to rate the company based on their services or products, but on their web site there is no way to contact them via email so you can let the know of problems or ask questions, especially since when you click "Shop Bikes", or when you do any product searches, you always get "no items found". First time getting a bike for our first child, so needed an expert's advice on what to look for. Mountain bike shift gear problem Brought my bike to their shop Ask them questions regarding gear shift cable. The staff wouldn't give me an answer. They kept the bike overnight and when I picked the bike up he next day, again, I asked them questions about the repair and the gear shift cable. I mentioned I watch a YouTube video regarding the cable and the employee answered " I guess you watched the wrong video" Well I left and went home. Guess what the bike still doesn't shift correctly. Excellent pricing, very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Sore is very clean and easy to locate and lots of parking.

They don't open till 11AM weekdays, and *NOON* on weekends. They are the ONLY show in town for Stockton. I was in there today to get a flat fixed, and they wanted me to leave my bike with them for a WEEK. Can someone please provide some friendly competition here? The next closest shop is in Lodi. I needed a tune up and new chain and cassette. I was going out of town for the weekend and brought my bike in on Thursday. They called me on Friday and said my bike was ready to pick up. Rides like new, couldn't be happier! The price was fair. Local shop 5 minutes from my house. Will recommend to all family and friends! read more

Took my bike in to have disc brakes adjusted or tightened I was told the bike would have to stay at least 2 weeks for service. I was called the next day that the bike was ready. After picking up the bike it had the same problem not stopping on a dime. I sent a text to them online.They said no problem bring it back . So I did and again I was told probably be about a week and a half and again the next day I was left a voicemail that it was ready but after applying the brakes after 2 visits the bike still feels the same. I also wanted to make sure the derailerer was adjusted since I bought the bike online.Each time I picked up the bike no explanation or a review of what was done just collect 80.00 for the repair and no feedback Customer service is lacking and repair is a blow over ..Not recommend for repairs or adjustments read more

I brought my bike in after the rear tire popped and the first question I was asked when I walked in was whether I had tried to put air in my tire before bringing it in to get a new one. Seriously? Right off the cuff terrible customer service. They did take my bike in immediately and put on a new tire within thirty minutes but I was very underwhelmed with the communication, the guy really only seemed content to take my money. Not service with a smile, unless you count the other employee he was laughing around with in the back. I won't be returning. read more

What a wonderful experience we had at Robby's. We decided to buy some new mountain bikes and did some online shopping, went by another local dealer and found that Robby's selection was much better and their customer service was excellent. They made sure to understand our needs, how often we will be using them, where/how we will use them and last but not least they made sure we got the right size bike. We went with the highly recommended Trex mountain bikes and so far couldn't be any happier, the stock seats had to be changed though. They were not comfortable and after a 5 mile ride, had us both pretty sore. When I went back to get our new seats they were so helpful once again, once I found the ones we wanted they put them on for us, which was great!!! I couldn't be happier, I look forward to all of our future adventures and I'm thankful we went with Robby'a for our bike purchase, we definitely will be back for our tune ups and any future purchases we make! read more

Second stop on trying to perform some routine maintenance on my newly donated bike from my son.... If you have followed my journey from Performance Bicycle on Pacific Avenue... I still haven't performed any research on what the heck is out there on a bicycle close to a decade old. There was also a couple of mechanics / salesmen on duty at Robby's today. They were working on a BMX bicycle, preparing it I guess for racing. Since they were actually working on a bicycle versus Performance, whose mechanics were just BS'ing, I thought I might have a better chance of finding derailleur parts. I explained to them the situation of replacing both twist type derailleur shifters on a mountain bike with a 7-speed rear sprocket and a 3-speed front sprocket... WHEW! (I will only have to explain this one more time!) One of the mechanics went to the parts bin and rummaged around... doing who-knows-what for about 5-10 minutes. He came back and said I would have to bring my bike in for them to inspect first. I have to ask Yelpers out there... Would bringing my bike in help in "finding" the shifter that I need? You either have the parts or you don't. read more

If you want to get a tune-up for your bike, it is a month and a half out. Problem is that, you have to leave your bike there since they don't make appointments. It doesn't make sense for the bike to sit in the shop until they have time to work on it, when one can be riding it. It makes me think that if purchases were made here, that it will be difficult to get help when needed. This policy is not customer friendly. read more

Since Christmas, I've been searching for a nice Trek to replace my son's stolen bicycle. He's struggling to stay fit in a covid world but I've patiently contacted this shop every couple of weeks. First in person, then by phone and lastly by fb messenger. No matter how polite, or succinct I tried to be, and no matter which method I contacted them by; I was met with with a terse response that bordered on rude. My contact info isn't collected and I'm not offered a chance to put down a deposit on the next bike available. High demand shouldn't drive down customer service, in my opinion. read more

Trash overpriced me. They said 60$ to change my hub and put it back together and then when I got my part they charged me 100$

Their customer service just isn't there and more than likely won't be back. I called them today at 425pm asking them if they could replace a tube which takes them less than a minute to replace and he said nope not enough time before we close. Probably be Monday at the earliest. I was like really ?. Anyway there are plenty of shops that are there for customers. I have purchased a bike here in the past with a decent experience. Went back today to purchase a bike for my daughter for her birthday and salesman pointed at 3 toddler bikes. I explained she's 13 and was told sorry, that's all we have for sale. He was very short and to the point. There were plenty of bikes on display- why didn't I get a few more questions as to what exactly I had in mind? Did not even get a chance to walk in. If it were possible, I would not give these jokers any stars. My first experience there a few weeks ago was laughable as some salesman named Zack informed me that the Trek I was looking at weighed between 25 and 30 pounds. Well, no duh! Most bikes weigh between 25 and 30 pounds you nimrod! This experience was validated further today. I brought a partially disassembled Intense cross-country bike in to get the handlebars, pedals and seat put back on (all cables were still attached and the bike had just been tuned before it shipped). I asked Zack to assemble the mentioned parts and I picked the bike up one and a half hours later. They billed me $80!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could have put those parts back on myself in about ten minutes. When questioned about it, Zack informed me that I had not specified NOT to tune the bike as it was their custom to tune every bike they assemble from the factory (which my bike wasn't). Spent twenty minutes offering to pay a reasonable rate for the assembly but he dug his heels in. Needless to say they lost a great customer. I don't buy mail order preferring instead to help out the local bike shops. And I buy only high-end pieces. Their loss. I called Performance Bicycles and asked what their rate was to assemble a bike and they told me it was between $25 and $30 but if there was a need to fix or tune something they would call me first. I guess I should have tried Performance first. read more

I walked in one afternoon looking for a specific product. I was quickly greeted by an employee who offered his assistance. I told the man what I was looking for and he informed me that they did not carry that particular item. The salesman was nice enough to inform me that I could find the product that I was looking for at a competing sports store or at a specific home repair store. I thought that it was nice that the gentleman offered the exact location where I could find the product, even though his store did not carry it. The man was more worried about taking care of me as a customer that he was about sending me packing without putting one of "his" products in my pocket. Very classy way of doing business. Procrastination. It's my main foible. Procrastination is the mother of fuckups. I waited far too long to have my bike repaired and it nearly ruined my day off. My destination was to south Stockton for a chop and some tacos from El Grullense. The bike was screaming at me to fix it, but I ignored the warning. I visited Performance Bicycle and they didn't have the necessary parts so they sent me to Robby's. I found this odd because Performance is a chain of bicycle shops in NorCal and if anyone would have a part, it would be them. Weird. Robby fixed me right up in about 20 minutes. New axle and wheel ran about $80, but my bike is my sole transportation and it is very, very important. One visit, problem solved. read more

I do not even have time to read the book I brought with me. They were friendly and did not treat me like the "Little old lady". I was at least twice the age of almost everyone else there. Dropped the red Trek off for some long awaited new parts, a seat, a handlebar trade off from another bike I have, some grips, a brake job, and derailleur adjustment. They're going to fix the seat post so it can adjust forward (saving money on a new one) and change out the rusty ancient chain. I'll be picking it up tomorrow night. I'll have one more way of burning calories and keeping my free time more active. I'll let you know the results of my repairs in a later review, can't wait to ride it! The really stupid thing I did?
