The gentleman I spoke with gave me two options: 1. complete resole, or 2. recork the back, and resole the back 1/3. I chose the latter, and was really grateful for the choice of a more affordable option. I'm used to waiting multiple weeks and months for shoe repair (just moved here from Maine). I was SHOCKED that he said "I could have these done by Tuesday or Wednesday"... it was Friday. 2. The recorking looks and feels incredible. sturdy, solid, and better-than-new feeling of heel cup support. I'm stoked. 3. both the first man I spoke with, and CJ the owner who I met upon pickup were kind, courteous, and people I truly WANT to support with my business. Solid guys. Solid service. Lastly... I just moved to Stockton with my wife a few months ago, and peope trash Stockton left and right. What's up with that? I *LOVE* it here. Just about every encounter we've had since we've moved here has been like this one: great neighbors, feeling of community, and great experience. Thanks guys! I'll be back. I've gone 3 separate times now for 2 pairs of LV sandals, an LV purse, and a Gucci backpack, and every repair came back looking great and honestly sturdier than when I originally bought them. For instance, I absolutely destroyed the finish and the straps of my Louis Vuitton sandals while walking in the rain on vacation. The finish leaked all over my feet and the leather/canvas. Felix not only cleaned off the dye and repaired the damage, but he resealed the sandals to where it's now waterproof. Their prices are also really reasonable and an insanely small fraction of what it would've cost to send the items back to LV or Gucci for repair. I wouldn't trust my designer items with anyone else.
