I am currently undergoing PT for an overuse injury of my shoulder and within two weeks my pain has been reduced by 50% and my range of motion is dramatically improved. I had extended PT after suffering a subarachnoid hemorrhage in 2012 and the care I received at NSPT was second to none. The care I needed was quite different from what I had needed in the past for running injuries. They not only helped me with my deficits I suffered as a result of the brain hemorrhage, they were patient and understanding with my mental and emotional issues as well. Micky Barnett has been a lifesaver through 2 generations in my family. My dad went to him for years…read moreuntil he passed away from cancer. I have been going to Micky since I was 17, I'm now 43. The most recent sever issue I went in after was a long road trip and I couldn't walk upright at all. I had been at the MD's office several times and they took MRI's and couldn't do anything but throw pain meds at it. Granted they helped but only masked the problem. I finally went to Dr. Barnett and I went in hunched over and could barely walk. Granted it wasn't a one visit fix but I walked out walking upright with much less pain. After about 6 visits with Micky I could return to work without pain. Just to stay mobile and without pain I visit regularly once a week. I found that I have degenerative discs in my L3, L4 and L5 Vert. I now get regular right leg numbness and pain at the same time as well as neck pain. When I visit Micky I walk out feeling so much better and by the next day the pain is gone in my leg. But because of the work I do my back is out by the 4th day of work and have to revisit. Well worth the money to get adjusted every Friday to recover for the weekend. I have neglected my back and just keep working so I have to visit regularly to keep the spine in line. I highly recommend Micky if you have a back issue. I recently asked him he is going to have to tell to recommend someone when he retires. Just like I asked the person who cut my hair. There is right way and wrong to do everything. The reason I chose now to write a review is because I seen that people said they had bad experiences with Micky. If you take care of your back you won't have issues but if you abuse yourself then you won't get better. Ice, Ice, Ice, Ice. don't use heat when you have been adjusted. Use ice. relax, and take is easy. The longer your back is out the longer it takes to heal because of inflammation. Also when it is out longer it creates a "memory" of being out and will go out when you start putting it back in. The more you keep your back inline the LONGER it will stay inline. Thank you Micky!
