We were both very happy with our experiences here. The only reason I am giving them four stars instead of five is that it's a bit pricey, although I believe it's on par with other places in the area. Both of our services were $50 each before tip, and I got a regular pedicure, not a gel pedicure; a gel pedicure would have been $75. Other than that it was a very nice place and I would return for a manicure or pedicure.

Unfortunately, my experiences with the owner's son have been the complete opposite. I find him extremely unfriendly, unwelcoming, and lacking in basic customer service. When you walk into a salon--especially one in such a competitive industry--you should feel appreciated as a customer, not as though the business is doing you a favor by allowing you to be there. Today, when I went to pay, he informed me that I had supposedly been undercharged during my previous visit and added approximately $15-$20 to my bill. I was honestly taken aback. I explained that I paid exactly what I was asked to pay at my last appointment. If the salon made an error when calculating my bill, how is that the customer's fault? He was very rude and dismissive about the entire situation and never even clearly explained what I had supposedly been undercharged for. I paid the additional amount without arguing and left, but the whole interaction left a very bad taste in my mouth. For a business, absorbing a $15-$20 mistake made by its own staff would have been a small price to pay compared with making a longtime customer feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. This is especially disappointing considering that the cost of my services has nearly doubled over the past two years. I have continued coming because I value Anna and the beautiful work she does, but after today's experience, I am genuinely reconsidering whether I want to return. You simply should not treat loyal customers this way. If it weren't for Anna, I would not step foot in this salon again.

I get there on time and the owners daughter who's really sweet set me and began separating the hair. She confirmed what I was getting and the price I was quoted. She did one braid. I told her it was short. She asked me if I wanted the hair braided to my waist or if I wanted it to hang to my waist. I said, braid it to my waist she began braiding more. I had to get up to check on my son I looked in the mirror and told her these braids are too short. She agreed they were too short and she kept braiding. I assume she was braiding longer in the back half and she would come back and fix the ones that were too short, but that did not happen. Her mom the owner came down because another client came. She finished her and she assisted with me. I turned around and asked the owner are these waist length because they're pretty short. she got upset and say yes these are waist length why? I said because they're not waist length they're actually only braided to my bra strap and the rest is hanging. I would never want that much synthetic hair hanging. She said oh well that's what we do here and when you say waste length it's the hair that's hanging to your waist, not braided to your waist. I said that's not standard because everywhere else waist length is braided to the waist, which is why it cost more not because there's hair hanging that would hang anyway. she said I don't know where you went but here that's not how we do it. She also stated at how she's been in business for 20 years and how you just can't please everyone. All while yelling. I didn't match her tone or her raised voice because my minor son was there and so was her daughter, but I did let her know that when I called and got a quote I asked for waist length. I let her daughter know twice that the braids was too short she said, yeah I know that she let me know. I said well if she let you know, why didn't you come down here and address it. She said I'm addressing it now. I can either cut the braids out and you can go or for 50 more dollars we can braid to your waist. I said I have already been here for 4 1/2 hours. I have to go to physical therapy in 40 minutes. I can't do that. She continue to get upset and yell about how long she's been in business how she knows what she's doing and not to compare her to other places. I didn't even go back-and-forth with her because once again I wouldn't do that in front of minors. I cannot drive due to my recent surgery, so I'm on someone else's time so that's the reason I did not have her take the braids down or go someplace else because I've wasted a half a day there. I would have to go and shampoo my hair to find another shop to go to. I cannot drive so I'm on someone else's time and I had a funeral to attend in the morning. My take away from this entire experience was very unpleasant as I've been to her before although it was years ago I've worn Braids all year. although over time I've been to different shops standard in this industry for waist length is braided to the waist or at least close to it not the middle of the back and it's hanging to your waist. It's synthetic hair. You should be given the option or if you want several inches of hair hanging there was no reason for her to raise her voice as I did not raise mine nor did I ever get disrespectful. My parts are not the same size. My parts are not the same shape. I do not have a center part. If I wanted to wear my hair in two ponytails, it would be a zigzag part. I have approximately five braids that come past my butt. Approximately six braids that hangs to my waist and the rest stop in the middle of my back. I did not realize this until I got home and looked in the mirror, but she knew this while she was raising her voice yelling at me I would never recommend anyone going here. I would tell you to go someplace else where you get what you were expect and your money's worth. If this was not paid in cash, I absolutely would dispute this charge because I did not get what I paid for and I am very disappointed.

Major positives They do phenomenal work.The braids are very neat and they worked with my head shape to give me something worked. Last night it was in a bottom bun and beautiful but of course I took it out as it's not practical to sleep with a bottom Bun. At 1 time they had 3 ladies working with my hair and they were all very attentive. They are not cash only as you can pay them via cash app. As I'm sure people who get their hair braided know, it takes a long while to get braids. They had no problems with me stretching moving around and like as it took 5 or 6 hours for mine to be finished. They had several braiders so if you walk in chances are there might be one that is available for you. Most African breeders come from West Africa is Africa and they speak Is French and broken English. The command of English in this place is pretty good and you don't feel as if though they're talking about you behind your back in French though French is widely used among them. The price is about what you expect which is around 200 some dollars. The only negative I might have is that they are very tight braiders. This is very common anyway so take a pain reliever when you leave and the braids will loosen within A-day or 2. They constantly asked me if I was comfortable With the tightness of the braiding and I chose to have it tight so that they would stay longer.
