The ladies at the front desk were nice. My original appt was for 1pm but I called and Victor was able to get me in at 10 due to a cancellation. Keyona did my X-rays and was so nice and thorough, explaining everything and was so gentle. She had to keep putting that plastic piece in my mouth so I could bite down and she could capture the picture. This was the first time my mouth wasn't aggravated after that. Just her being thorough and taking her time. Dr. Batiste came in after and was everything! Very personable, impeccable chair side manner. Explained everything walked me through all my pictures and was very attentive. I never felt rushed. Jarell did my cleaning and was just as thorough. My teeth clean, clean . You can tell they run a tight ship and care about your teeth here. Now, the decor was everything! When you walk back to be serviced, you walk through glass doors and if not for the cleanings happening in each room, you almost forget its a dental office. The black and gold decor along with the black art on the walls just adds such a nice touch. After you pay, you go out a separate door which is right next to the front door. I wasn't expecting anything but really got a great experience. Also there's a tv jn front of you as you sit in the chair AND one above so you can watch tv as you're leaned back getting work done. I'm not sure why modern medicine, and dr. Appt visits are not this thorough. The devices and xray machines were so technologically advanced and quick! All appointments really should feel like this! I'll definitely be back for my Invisalign. Thank you

First let me say I HATE the dentist office. I always have and always will. Now that I've gotten…read morethat out of the way. This was my first time going to Lovett. I haven't been to the dentist in over 5 years besides getting my wisdom teeth pulled in college. Pros: Sidney, the dental assistant, is great! She's nice and funny. I was nervous because she told me my pulse was high but she helped make me laugh. The Dr. is funny also. Cons: The wait time is short but I was there two hours. 45 minutes of that was after they told me I need a root canal. The front desk person was out so the manager was doing a million things at once. I was waiting to sign papers and I finally had to get up and say, "I really have to go back to work." The manager is a bit pushy. I felt like I was in one of those timeshare or sales situations where they try to sell you something right then and there. He seemed upset that I couldn't get my root canal done that day. I have a job. I can't just call them and say, "Oh hey I'm not coming back today or tomorrow." I told him I would try for next week but the vacation day still had to be approved. He finally agreed but he didn't like it. I don't have dental insurance so a root canal for one tooth is $2442.00. That's pretty pricy for one tooth. I'm new to this so I don't really know how much its supposed to cost. Overall it's a great place its just busy and the manager is aggressive but I think its because he was trying to do too much by himself. The nurses are nice though. When I gain the courage I'll go back for the root canal.

I have sleep apnea and wanted some type of mouth guard and they seemed to be a best fit based on all my research. When I came in, I scheduled during my lunch hour, and it was less than 5 minutes from the office. I loved that I got a notification reminder week of and hour before, as sometimes I tend to lose track of time. I entered into a bright lobby and was greeted promptly (by name!!!) and was checked in. The wait time wasn't long, just a couple of minutes and the dental assistant guided me back to the room. Walking through the halls, have such great lighting, great for a photo!! lol, but entered in the room, chair was super comfy and they have a tv on the chair so you are distracted for whatever dental cause brought you in! Great for those that don't like the dentist! Dr. McRay came in after getting all checked in and asked me about my sleep study and helped review over all the information in the results and explained in great detail what he was able to offer and provide me and how he is different from other devices that are used out in the industry. I was really happy with how knowledgeable he was, as well as the staff, and making me feel super comfortable with my choice and confident in moving forward. He explained all the costs upfront and what all the costs entailed, which I left feeling even more confident that I'd made the right choice. I left and took some time to think it all through and before I knew it, I was scheduling my follow up to get fitted for my mouth guard. The cool thing about their process includes some breathing tests so that they know how to make adjustments to the mouth guard and make it truly fitted for you. They sent everything off and received back in two weeks. Night one, I noticed such a huge difference in how I slept and woke up feeling so rested and less groggy. It's amazing what one thing could do to change your entire sleep cycle. It's been a few weeks now, and still loving it. I had a follow up with Dr. McRay and he is just a dream and so is the team! I've had such a great experience with them, and looking forward to future visits! Who knew you could say that about a dentist!

Both Dr. Heather and Dr. Brett are general dentists. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend seeing an endodontist--a specialist in root canal treatment--for any endodontic procedure. I wish I had gone to a specialist from the beginning.

I have held back from leaving a review for many years, but as I continue to work and spend…read morethousands on rectifying the work done, I feel responsible to do this. Eight years after walking into this office, I can look back and be certain that walking in was one if not the worst decision of my life. Teeth are precious and not only tools for chewing--they're part of an interconnected system involving digestion, posture, emotions, energy, and overall vitality. This practice doesn't focus on any of that but surely has a strong focus to sell. I worked with 3 different dentist's here; I was young and said yes to everything: frequent cleanings and all the upsell that comes with that, many fillings, crowns, 3 root canals, and even more! I thought I was being responsible. One of the main things to highlight is, absolutely ALL of the crowns were left with a margin. I learned over the years by asking questions that same day crowns are typically found in chain practices where the doctor is not the one molding and the staff is not always well equipped. This was absolutely true. I can think of a time where I removed the molding for the assistant myself(of course I did it wrong). I visited another dentist during that time who did a 3D scan. That doctor warned me of the margin on a particular tooth. I went back to this practice and Dr. Lising minded. She insisted that the crown was fine. That was on a root canal so I didn't feel discomfort, yet the crown fell off on a random day. Sadly it was too late-there was significant decay underneath and the tooth had to be shaved down significantly. Dr. Lising was not pleasant to work with during this time. As I read on many other recent reviews, I also experienced the arrogance. She laughed at my hesitation to "fix" the issue. I agreed to placing a dental post to then place a new crown. Sadly, the post caused the tooth to break and led to an infection that showed while pregnant. I had to have an extraction while pregnant and an implant months later. This costed me several thousands. On a different occasion, I complained of sensitivity on a particular tooth and was told that I needed a root canal. With what I know now, I can say that it was called too early. All I did was say that it was sensitive, that's it. Root canals are bad news and I just extracted a second one. The recovery was brutal. I have one to more to go. Another experience was an onlay that fell off 4 times before it never moved again- I don't know how that was accomplished. If I could go back, I would want my young self to read this review and be intrigued to read on functional/biological dentistry. You will find a doctor who will cost you a bit more per visit but a whole lot less over time, a Dr. that will care to save your teeth. I do not have any pleasure in leaving this review, in fact it is hard but I feel a strong need to. I have spent thousands of dollars over the last 4 years to redo all the work that I have paid for in the past! It is painful in every way and I don't wish it on anyone. If you are looking for a dentist, please be kind to yourself and look for a Dr that will care for you from a functional perspective and educate you while saving your teeth.
