Dr. Cornell has an outstanding staff. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and they respond quickly to voicemail or messages left with the front desk. The issue that I have with the office is that they don't have an online portal like other doctors where you can leave a question and the Dr responds. Every Dr office I have been to has a better to communicate with the Dr. Also, Dr. Cornell is not in the office very often and it's very difficult to get an appointment. He splits his time between another office that is outside of Houston. Every time that I saw the Dr, he was so busy that he came into the room quickly, scoped me left without any time for questions or discussion of planned treatment. I prefer a Dr that will say hello and ask how I am doing and allow me to speak and ask questions. He is very well educated but doesn't know the latest treatments. read more

Dr. Cornell: My wife, who is also a Doctor, and I scheduled an appointment for this morning at 9:30. We made all the plans including rescheduling her patients and my business meetings and traveling almost an hour to get to the office. We arrived at 9:00, filled out the necessary forms, and waited. At 9:40 (10 minutes after our scheduled time) I went the front desk and asked when we could expect to be seen. The receptionist told me, "in about an hour." I clarified this with her a couple times to make sure she was saying about 60 minutes more. Additionally, since no one told this to us as we waited, we would not have known unless I had asked. Naturally, we took that to mean (a) either the doctor did not respect our time and his commitment to our appointment or (b) his scheduling and organization process is completely incompetent. Since we are as busy as he is and certainly deserve to receive the respect and commitment of any service provider with whom we may choose to work, we left and are unlikely to ever return. This communication was also sent to the doctor with what is probably an unrealizable hope that he develops a more honest, respectful, and efficient process for meeting promises and commitments for appointments. Dr. Cornell has been my Doctor since 2020. He is exceptional, I consider him a trusted source for personal health care. As a man, it can be difficult to discuss certain issues, libido and low-t to name a couple. He is direct, honest, and a problem solver. Resolving these issues has improved my confidence and my marriage. Although it is downtown, parking is very easy and his office is an elevator ride away. The commute from the parking lot to the office is 100 feet and an elevator ride. Once I have arrived, the wait is never more than 10 minutes. The staff is professional and knowledgeable. Two stars for a successful vasectomy procedure, but everything else about the experience was one star. Office employees didn't seem well-trained in protocol or coached in customer service. Dr. Cornell did not even speak to me in my pre-surgery appointment, even though I could clearly see he was chatting with another doctor in the hallway about weekend plans. I drove all the way into downtown Houston three times that didn't need to happen. Two times to drop off a sample that was going to be handled by a third party lab anyway and a final time for Dr. Cornell to hand me a piece of paper with lab results and then try to sell me his services for later in life when I might need a urologist. Dr, Cornell is the Michael Jordan of urologists. He is the one you want to handle the ball with 3 seconds on the shot clock because you know that he has the confidence to make the shot!. This place blows. If you want good customer service don't even bother calling here. Robert Cornell seems to have great reviews but his staff is the complete opposite. Joy was extremely rude on the phone which led me to not even consider this office at all. The last thing you want to deal with is rude people in the office when you're already not feeling well as to the reason why you're calling in the first place. They should hire people who actually have customer service skills instead of people who don't care and obviously hate their jobs. Absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous. I have been seeing Dr Cornell for a couple of years and then I figured out what his billing department was doing... Randy in the billing office is nasty, unprofessional and unethical, she fraudulently double billed multiple visits after they had already been paid in full. I tried working it out with her on the phone, but all I got was lies. He's a good doctor, but beware, he does not care about you as a patient and obviously cares even less that his billing department is unethical. read more

Went to his office because I was having really bad pain from kidney stones. Didnot even see the Dr. Cornell saw some nurse practicioner who said i needed surgery this coming friday and that they were going to put a laser in my penis to break the stones because my kidney stones were too high up to do the less invasion sonic waves they usual do to break up stones. When I finally met him he said he was going to put stints in and that a week later he was going to use the sonic waves to break up rthe stones. His office staff sucks. When I pay to see a doctor NOT a nurse practioner WHO is not a doctor. I had gone to see another uroligist the day before my surgery and he said I only needded to break them apart with sonic waves, but it was too late to cancel. As of now with two surgeries I am still walking around with two stints and have to wait another three weeks to take them out. I am in constant pain my urine is always bloody and it constantly burns everytime I urinate, If I had to do this all over again I would have never used this doctor. Dr. Cornell is an outstanding urological surgeon and he has fixed my erectile dysfunction (ED) using an Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (IPP). I am a 69 year old male who has suffered with varying degrees of ED for about 20 years. Dr. Cornell performs more inflatable penile prostheses than virtually anyone else in the world. He was very forthright in describing what he can and cannot do, and he delivered what he said he would. He claims (and I believe) he has a success rate of 98% and he said even if there were any post-surgical problems, he was confident he could fix them. I had been to another urologist, as well as my primary doctor for my inability to urinate. The first urologist did some preliminary tests, and no proper diagnosis was given. On to urologist #2. I went to my appointment wit Dr. Cornell with an open mind and hopeful that I could get some resolution. He did some blood work, urine samples, and actually talked with me ( the other urologist I went to previously, didn't ask questions ). After the second visit,( this time sticking a small 'camera' in my fun bits)he gave me a diagnosis, as well as an option to fix the problem. He did TURP procedure on me, and after psyching myself for a very nasty, rough recovery, I discovered the recovery wasn't at all what I anticipated. The recovery was actually quite easy. I only used one, maybe two of the pain medication prescribed. Now, thanks to Dr. Cornell, I can urinate when I need to. On a personal note, his demeanor was pleasant and professional. I am sure that Dr. Cornell is well trained and professional. I am impressed with his reviews. I had the occasion of visiting his office some months ago. All I was seeking at the time was a check on my prostrate health. Well as expected I was shown everything that was offered by his office, Well, I opted for only the prostrate check. I had blood drawn and later found out that my PSA was OK. However, his office scheduled me for a prostrate biopsy. Not knowing anything about PSA, biopsy, or any other medical situations I agreed to do the biopsy. The procedure was very painful to say the least. After the procedure was over I was asked to move from the table of the procedure to a chair that was close by. As I proceeded to do so I began to fall, got a very heated flushing feeling and was so sick that I thought that I would die. I was held in the office for awhile before driving home. About 8 days late I got an infection, and had to go to an emergency clinic, where they diagnosed the infection. Upon getting the infection I called Dr. Cornell's office asking for medication to remedy the infection. they refused to write any prescription to help me. The persons that did the procedure I'm not sure about whether they were doing the procedure correctly or not. I do have serious doubt. I have no intention of ever getting any other procedure done there again. read more

Dr. Cornell is awesome. He takes the time to listen to your problems and really puts thought into a treatment program for you. I've seen other physicians prior to going to Dr. Cornell with limited results for treatment of Low T. In addition to testosterone pellets, Dr. Cornell put me on HCG injections. HCG seems to make a huge difference in feeling normal again and having my sex drive back. I'm very happy with the results that I've achieved under Dr. Cornell's care.
