Robert is a nice person. However, there has been some staff turnover and with it, the passing of my insurance needs to a variety of individuals, especial new hires. If Robert services you directly, then it should be alright. My experience: 1) leaving the country - one of hires leave - nobody to watch over my account, which includes home, umbrella, car, and rental 2) want to reinstate my car insurance - called office - all of the license ppl left for day at 4 pm. this is during regular working hours. no call back. i called the corporate office to get my insurance re-added. the corporate office told they are surprise there are NO LICENSE people around during work hours. they tell me only my local agent can re-addd my insurance - nothing gets done. 3) want to get my new card for my car insurance electronically. i emailed. no reply. i called, and the new hire says it takes a while to generate at the state farm corporate office. no follow up. 4) emailed his office to switch agents. no reply. i had to call. the new hire tells me my cards for my insurance will come soon. does not give me the status about switching agents. 5) called yesterday and asked about my status of switching agents. the person say he overhead robert and the new hire talk about me switching. however, i have no idea they spoke or know the status of things. the person says robert or somebody will call me back tomorrow. 6) tmrw is here - today. no call back. i called and the person said my cards will be ready next monday and the transfer has been submitted. i don't understand what happened. robert has not called me back at all, to apologize, give me status or anything. he may be upset that i submitted a complaint against him to the corporate office - i'm not sure. i'm really disappointed. he seems like a nice guy, but i suppose i expected him to continue to be professional, be responsible, and be the good neighbor even though i will no longer be using him. anyhow, my review is based mainly on the turnover and having to chase robert down. it's a bit unusual for the customers to chase the people servicing them. read more

Man, insurance is such a drag and the last thing I want to do is research and invest any time to this. My girlfriend and I currently have insurance through Geico and I really had no idea if my coverage was adequate. I called Robert's office and told him my situation. This use to be a good office but it has gone down hill since Robert Fong took over. I have told them repeatedly about my updated car situation and they still keep charging me insurance for a car that I no longer have. They refuse to remove this car that I no longer have from my policy and they refuse to refund me the money that they falsely charged me for. I would stay far away from this particular State Farm office. I will be contacting the California Department of Insurance to file a claim. read more

I have not had to shop around for insurance for almost 20 years. I want to thank Freddy and Robert for answering all my insurance questions. Freddy was able to get me a very cost saving quote, much cheaper premiums and better coverage than my previous insurance co. I asked if it would be OK to come back later after I talked it over with the hubs. Freddy said "of course" and printed me the quote to take home. After talking with my hubs, we decided to go with Robert Fong with State Farm. The some of the reasons why we choose Robert is not only is his rates competitive but his office is an actual office you can stop by and talk with an agent "in person". Even though his office is on the El Camino but there is a huge parking lot next to the building he is in. But the main reason is that Robert's agents are super nice and personable. I would always see Rob at his booth at the Millbrae Art and Wine Festival and never really thought about switching my insurance over to him because I always thought it would be a hassle. One day I had an issue with my car and tried to contact my insurance agent at that time for some advice but never really felt like they cared or were really looking out for my best interest. I decided to contact Rob for quotes and he walked me thru everything and Rob and his team helped me make the insurance switch with ease. A few years later we had a water break at our house. We contacted Rob and he got back to us right away to let us know what steps we should take. He even came by our house to make sure everything was ok. A couple of days ago I got into a car accident.
