Soooo, NEVER had glasses in my life. I think I have been to Zoellner in my childhood to have my eyes checked at memorial location, but that was many moons again, so essentially this is new to me. First of all, I'm aware of all the stigma surrounding this business. Not my business, didn't affect me, so don't let it drive you away. The folks were PROFESSIONAL. Found out I needed glasses. Insurance helped a lot. I am picking them up today or tomorrow after RX is done processing. Shoutout to Makayla at Harvard, the tech. She is SO professional and took away my anxiety over this whole thing. We ran a few tests and I was so surprised to see I couldn't read all the lines! I took in my current eyeglass frame with a slightly different RX for an update. Zellner charged me over $200 and gave me glasses back that had fishing wire poking out towards my eye and the glass was cut wrong-not lining up with the frame-there's noticeable gaps and the lense was not buffed so there is a white ring around the glass! To fix them they want to keep 1/2 the money I paid and Change the lense to No RX!! I asked for them to be returned in same condition I gave them initially and full refund! I'm all for innovation, and using AI to help drive efficiencies, but I hate it when it's used to find a more efficient method to blow a patient off. I booked an appointment online, picking three times as requested, immediately got a text saying they would review and confirm. But I never got a confirmation. The morning of the appointment I tried calling and it immediately went to voicemail. Then I got a " sorry we missed your call," text, and if I need to schedule an appointment, a link was attached. I decided to show up at my scheduled time, only to be told that they were too busy yesterday too confirm my appointment, but that I was welcome to wait in the waiting room as a walk-in if something became available. Nope. A big waste of my time and my morning. I have no clue as to their skill and professionalism as optometrists, but I refuse to do business with any company so inconsiderate of their customer's time or who don't respect their patronage. I decided it was time for a new pair of reading glasses, so I went to Dr. Robert Zoellner's eye clinic for an exam of my eyes and to get new lenses. It is a really nice facility with a highly trained staff. The Optometrist was very nice and gave me a thorough exam to figure out what my new lens prescription would be. I have a strange prescription, so they had to special order my lenses from an outside manufacturer. It took about a week to get them in, which was pretty quick. Now I can finally see what I'm reading again. I was very pleased with my experience at Dr. Z's eye clinic. I would recommend them to everyone. read more

Absolute terrible service. I purchased glasses in July waited three weeks to get them after the commercial says that you get your glasses same day. I broke my frames in a few weeks again I'm waiting three more weeks to get frames. The irony is that I have to sit here and listen to the commercial on the phone. Tell me that most glasses are same day and so our contacts and I had to wait weeks upon weeks for both my glasses and contacts and now again, I'm waiting for broken frames to be repaired. Usually, I would've gone corporate eye doctor, but I thought maybe a eye doctor would be the better choice. Clearly I was wrong. The service from this place has just been ridiculous from the beginning. They toss you around their office to different employees several times before you ever get an answer on what you need or what you're going to get. They read my insurance incorrectly so I ended up owing another $361 that I wasn't expecting. My didn't fit correctly, but since I didn't open them immediately, I'm stuck with them. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're needing specialized care or urgent care. This just isn't the place they take their time and they're rude when you address it. It's nuts to me that they say they can make their glasses in a couple of hours but I've waited three weeks for mine and they don't even have to put lenses in them. It's just frames. I have been going to Dr. Zoellners for years. I have been getting the exact frames and service for a very long time. This time I had my exam on September 27th I was told my lenses were out of stock and my glasses would be ready the next Tuesday October 1st. Come the first they hadn't gotten in my lenses. Come to find out they hadn't even ordered them. This goes on 3 more times. 2 1/2 weeks later they then tell me they were having problems and had to send out my glasses to be done. Finally after 3 weeks and a day I get a text stating my glasses are done. I picked them up today (2 days later) and the glasses to my surprise were finally done correctly. My big problem is I was told 4 different times over three weeks that my glasses would be done and they weren't. Not to mention the price this time was pretty high. Dr. Zoellners is not what they once were . Clearly more concerned with cranking volume through for profit and no concern about customer service. Not once did they call me and offer any update or explanation. What's the point in going someplace that claims to have you glasses ready the same day and have it taken over 3 weeks. In the past it's always been done within 24 hours. Terrible terrible service. I guess it's time to find a new eye doctor next time. read more

The optometrist was wonderful!! However the staff at this location are not helpful and appear to be inconvenienced by performing the role they were hired for. I had some questions related to my insurance coverage for glasses versus contacts. No information was provided and was told I should just order contacts. After decided to go ahead and order a years worth of contacts and paying $250 out of pocket, in addition to, what my vision plan covered. I received no paperwork with my prescription or billing and insurance brake down for the cost of service. I was not notified which contact prescription went in which eye (as I have two different prescriptions). After receiving my contacts in the mail, I contacted this location and received no help. once again, I felt that I was inconveniencing the staff by asking them to do their job which is to assist the customer. Office manager is a complete train wreck, aggressive and rudest person I've ever met. Customer service has dramatically collapsed within the last four years. They've messed up my glasses 4 times now and I've had to pay them one hundred dollar for their mess up, mind blowing! I do not recommend unless you want to waste time and money. They messed up my contact order Heather wasn't able to do the math for the difference of brands I needed. Got a call from Mattie stated that the difference was a refund for 6 months supply or an additional amount for 1yr. appted for 1 yr. Go to pick up my contract was told there was a balance which was expected paid the amount due, specifically told employee it was 1 yr supply comes back hands over only 6 pair. WTF!!!!! Asked for a manager she went to get one that was not a manager it was only another employee (Heather) I told her he's wasn't a manager she stated we don't actually have another manager in site. I asked for a refund she tried to give me a partial and I did not accept it. I wanted a for the additional six months that they finally after all that got my refund. THUMBS DOWN! June 3rd visited Harvard location for an exam and eye glasses. Paid $633 for everything and was told. That I will receive a text once glasses were ready for pick up in 10-15 business days. Reach out to Dr. Z office June 28th because I have not received a text. Was told the same thing someone will text me once ready. Now here it is July 11th and I call to see if glasses are ready. Only to be told with an attitude that I was notified on the 21st that glasses were ready for pick up. WOW! No ma'am I haven't received anything informing me that glasses are ready! Go to pick up glasses, informed the little girl what I was there for. She goes to retrieve eyewear only not to be able to find them! WOW! She goes to get another co-worker to help her look. Meanwhile I am just standing there looking at them run around looking for my glasses. A difference young lady comes from the back and ask that I have a seat at a table in front of her. She asked if everything is okay and I express to her my frustration and the fact that it looks like they can't find my glasses! HER RESPONSE " oh its glasses they told me it was contacts! What! Soooo you're about to show me how to put contacts in my eyes that I don't even wear! WOW even more frustrated now! The glasses has been found and I am just ready to leave the place! Spoke to the young office manager whom I did not get a name (male with glasses) whom seem to not give or have a care in the world about the situation! Even though they advertise "drop-in appointments are welcome", I found it better to schedule an appointment after "dropping in" and seeing several people who came in after me were placed ahead of me. After sitting in the waiting area for over an hour, I inquired about my place in line and was told there were twelve people still ahead of me "because these persons had appointments". I scheduled an appointment and left. The day I arrived for my appointment the staff moved me through the eye exam quickly. I had already selected the frames I wanted but then had to wait about forty-five minutes to meet with a staff person to place my order. The staff person was apparently new and had to ask other staff several questions about the process. My order was finally placed. Had to wait about two weeks for my glasses to arrive. Unfortunately, the first prescription ended up being wrong and I was given a new prescription on re-check. Had to wait another hour or so to meet with a staff person to change my prescription and to send my glasses back to the lab in Florida--ugh, another two week delay! The bright spot was "Ashley" who took the time to take new measurements for my progressive lenses to make sure they were correct. Ashley was personable and had a good sense of humor. By the time I left that day, my frustration had given way to optimism that the end result will be glasses that are perfect this time around. Thanks, Ashley! Bottom line: schedule an appointment but be prepared to spend an hour or more getting through the process. And ask for Ashley--she knows what she is doing! read more

I've been coming here for over 10 years, and sadly with each year they have declined in customer service. The offices are not up to date with the newest technology or services. The staff seem to all be new each time I come in, and their inexperience shows. The optometrists themselves however are very knowledgeable and that's why I keep coming back. I ended up at Dr. Zoellner's office because my daughter and I were in Tulsa for a sports tournament and she had forgotten her glasses and didn't have any more contact lenses. Luckily, I had the prescription online and Dr. Zoellner's office was able to help me get emergency contacts, at no charge, in just a few minutes! Not helpful in getting the correct insurance paperwork completed for a prescription they prescribed. They wanted $50 and another office visit or for me to see a specialist (I don't have the money to pay for any of it). I just need the drops they prescribed because they work and I need them quickly so I can work and make a long put off (due to eye issues) drive to Chicago for my job in 6 days. They don't seem to care to help, if someone loses their job, if someone is struggling to see, they just want your money. This is how I was made to feel by their response to my request that the correct paperwork be completed. Not to mention the first glasses prescription was wrong and had to be redone. Only reason im giving 1 star is so i can write a review, this place has the worst service ive ever experienced. I spent $516.00 on eye exam with lens and frames, after coming back when told glasses were ready a worker told me my glasses were scratched but take them home and ill call in the am when the new ones are ready. Never received a call, when i finally called i was left on hold for 10 mins 3 seperate times, after finally getting to speak with someone they all acted like what are you talking about. So i went up there and all those lazy workers were sitting at the front desk looking like they couldn't wait to get off work. Tried to speak with the woman who helped me buy frames, becky was her name. She tried to ignore me, but she wasnt ignoring me when she knew i was trying to purchase high dollar frames. Finally got the manager to help me, i guess she was Asian or Indian. She was very helpful after everyone else acted like they hate the job. What a bad experience! I won't be back and none of my family will either. And won't buy from their dispensaries any more after their awful service. Had an exam and updated my reading prescription. I don't need glasses for long vision. While picking out frames the person helping me was going to adjust my current glasses and he snapped the arm in half. Okay, it was an accident so I just laughed it off. The end is uncomfortable to wear but it was just going to be an hour before my new glasses were ready. They text me and I go to pick them up. Put them on and they put the wrong prescription in the new glasses! It would be at least a 15 minute wait! I've already had to leave work twice today for this and now they tell me oh sorry you will just have to come back. When I explain to them about the broken glasses they didn't care at all. I asked if they could order a new arm for the glasses that are only a year old and they tell me no, they aren't made any more. This place sucks! So does the other location. read more

I came here to get my new glasses because my old ones were basically falling apart. One side is loose and the coating on the lenses is chipping off, so they needed to be replaced. I got an appointment with "Dr. Z" right away and with my vision insurance through my husband's job, the price was very reasonable. That was the good news. The bad news was that once I got my glasses, my eyes never quite adjusted. I had this weird 3D effect with my vision. After wearing them for a few days, I took them back in to be rechecked. It turns out that someone there had made my left lens much stronger than it really needed to be. I waited for two hours the first visit and an hour the second visit in a crowded office that resembled a packed tuna can. Seriously this place is always a zoo and there is NEVER enough seating. Then, I find out that my lens will have to be ordered and I will get it sometime in a week. The next time I get new glasses, I think I will choose another optometrist in my network. read more

This is has horrible customer service. I have been going here for 5 years and nothing has changed. When you go to the drive through they ignore you and make you wait instead of acknowledging you and saying it will be a moment if they need more time. The wait time in the drive through is always more than 15-20 mins and if you do not come inside you are still placed on a waiting list as if you were inside. That is how they have the system set up. So going through the drive through line is not any faster and they fail to explain that to customer that. These people do not care about the customer experience at all. read more

I've have never had such a great experience getting an eye exam or glasses. They can usually get ur glasses done the same day (unless ur eyesight is terrible there's a chance you MIGHT have to wait...but mind is horrible and they STILL got mine done same day!!)....From start to finish everything and EVERYONE was outstanding and sooo welcoming! My previous eye doctor retired and sold his practice, so I decided to try Dr. Zoellner's on Harvard as it is close to my house. The service itself was pretty good when I got my eyes checked and ordered both contacts and glasses. I was told the contacts would be in within 5-7 business days, while thr glasses would be 7-10 days. I have a high prescription so I wasn't surprised. 2 full weeks went by and I didn't hear from them. I called and have been trying to get them to let me know what the deal is for 2 more weeks. I visited their office on May 1st and I am writing this review on May 28th. As of the time of this writing my contacts are still not ready for pick up, even though I paid for them 28 days ago. I am very disappointed and I will not be returning to this office again. My Daughters frames broke and we have great vision insurance , was told they would order frames and swap lens in 7-10 days, 18 days passed with no call, called today , not only did they not order them but they had my phone number wrong and i told them 3xs and they still did not correct it !
