They only give you work if they like you. Recruiters ghost you. Received fake spoof offers from out of state Robert Half recruiters. Not sure if they were even real. 5 stars for my former recruiter, Chad Hooper. He was one of the most courteous and professional headhunters I've ever encountered. I thought I had a good working knowledge of networking but he taught me how to do it even better. To explain myself, Chad was so good he was recruited by another company and he still stayed in touch with me and other temps. He's on LinkedIn and posts on the website regularly. He was upfront with me and didn't beat around the bushes. One thing I found unnerving about the Mission Viejo location of Office Team is the lack of soundproofing in the interview offices. I could hear the other woman in the next office being interviewed. She had arrived late to her appointment because she had gotten into an accident on the way to the office! Chad was empathic and made sure she was okay. The reason I am taking off two stars is for the delay of my paycheck. I signed up for direct deposit and they set it up correctly. The only problem? I got a temporary assignment with a company after Chad had left for another job. When my paycheck was delayed, I called and asked about it. Natalie (Don't remember her last name because it changed after she got married) was really nice and tried to help, but the direct deposit took forever to arrive. If I recall correctly, someone told me the HR woman at the company for which I temped took a long time to sign off on the timesheet forms. Another reason for the stars taken off is I received what I feel were too many e-mails from recruiters from their office and other OT offices. They were often for bilingual Korean/English jobs. In my opinion, what they were offering for these bilingual jobs was too low. Working in two languages can be two or even three times the work of doing business in one language, maybe more. Translation/Interpretation services are more valuable than they give credit for, in my view. Please consider asking for more money if they ask you to do bilingual work. I will give them credit for supplying us with Salary Guides. If you read the salary guide, you could tell what the industry average was for the jobs that were available. Most of the people working here were cool; Natalie was very fashionable and kind. If I wasn't able to find permanent employment, I would consider coming back here and working for them again as a temp. Note: This review is extremely delayed. I temped for OT in 2011. I appreciated getting the work. Sometimes the office staff seemed disorganized, but there was a high volume of applicants at the time. Also, be sure to study up on the current editions of Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Word so that you shine during the testing. It doesn't hurt to know InDesign, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver. The more software you are familiar with, the better you will do in the testing and the more opportunities will be available to you. read more

Most of the "service" you get here is just ridiculously unprofessional, from every standpoint. Marlene at the front desk is notoriously rude and condescending. She freely criticizes interviewees once they leave the room. There's no excuse for her terrible attitude. The smaller meeting rooms in the front have paper-thin walls, and the recruiters use them for interviewing candidates. If you meet with Ashley about being placed, be prepared for anyone in the waiting area or other neighboring rooms to hear about your pay history, career goals, and everything else you talk about during your conversation, because she is that loud. They also don't care about your true fitness for the jobs they pitch to you; to them, a square peg and a round hole go together just fine. I personally overheard Ashley pitch an *entry level sales role* to someone who had gone to school for drafting/architecture AND BROUGHT A PORTFOLIO OF BLUEPRINTS TO HIS INTERVIEW. Does that sound like someone who came in to find a sales job??? Everything you tell them goes in one ear and out the other. They just want to make money off of your work, and they don't have a limit to how much they'll rob you. read more

This was my first time ever working with a staffing/temp agency and I must say, I am very pleased!!! I was applying to jobs on indeed, not realizing that I applied to a staffing company until they called me, wanting to interview. I was a little hesitant at first being that I've never used a staffing agency before but I'm really glad that I gave it a chance! I was working specifically with Ashley Macholda; she called me one morning and we scheduled an interview so that she could get to know me a little more and ask what kind of jobs I was searching for in particular. If you decide that you want to work with them you fill out a couple of online forms and they send you an evaluation test so that they can see what your skill-set looks like (nothing to be intimidated by and everything comes with detailed instructions). All within a week, she had me scheduled for two interviews and job offers from both companies AND they were both in my city!!! I mean, if you don't think that's awesome then I don't know what to tell you! The shorter the commute, the better!!! haha. Ashley also followed up with me after my interviews just to ask how they went! Above and beyond, I must say! Ashley and her team are phenomenal and very professional!!! Anytime I had a question via email or called, they were right there! I even felt that I had become good friends with the receptionist and was very pleased to finally meet her whenever I visited the office. Responses were prompt; just exceptional in every way. The other reviewers are right to say that this location is pretty terrible. Most of the jobs on their website are "positions we are pursuing" rather than legitimate openings. When I would call in to follow up on the few positions that were actually real, I kept getting the runaround from the employees. Employees would tell me that they would give me updates in one or two days about jobs I applied for. Yet, I would never receive a call or an email. They went so long without finding me work that I had to come in and enter my paperwork a second time. It's sad that this office does such a terrible job since they were a great place in 2005. When I first signed up with them back in 2005, they did a great job finding me work. They eventually got me a job with Cox Communications, which lasted until the peak of the recession. read more

I had quit a job I had for 6 years for personal reasons, I was lost not knowing what direction to take then I decided to give temp agencies a chance. All treated me like another number to fill their monthly quota. I was ready to give up on temp agencies when I decided to go to my last interview. I was very rude. I said " if you wanted me to come to meet your number you could have done it over the phone". I left. An hour after they called me to tell me I had a job. I had 2 assignments in 15 months, I learned so much I did not mind temping so much. I received my bonus a few days ago. It's great to see a week extra pay just for temping. They offer very competitive benefits package that includes sick time. I had a great time. Vanessa and Rob know what they are doing, know how to keep you and their clients happy.
