Then she cleaned my husbands teeth and he complained about how she hurt his gums while cleaning his teeth. Then he said he needed to take painkillers after he got home. I also had my teeth cleaned a few weeks ago and she was too rough as well. We've never had this kind of experience there and have been patients for 10 years. This needs to be addressed. I'm not sure if she's new or not. Another issue is we have 2 free cleanings a year which is every 6 months with our insurance. They have been scheduling us every 8-9 months which most times is only once a year. If he has so many patients maybe it's time to hire another dentist to work with him. We should be scheduled every 6 months. Maybe it's time to find another dentist.

I started going to this office in 2003 and they continue to exceed my expectations through the years. Everyone in the building treats you with kindness, sincerely, and love. They all very clearly enjoy where they work and I believe this all starts with the Doctor Joe Meek. He is down to earth and helps to alleviate the anxiety and fear of going to a Dentist in his own way. To be frank the professionalism of his staff makes it a joy to go into my appointments. I could save money by going somewhere else, but I don't because I trust the work they're doing. They offer me a blanket, pillow and water at longer appointments like fill-ins. I'll always say yes to a blanket! ;) They're totally fine with me putting in my headphones and listening to music or podcasts so I can drown out the noise while they work. They really do their best to make sure your comfortable, your questions are answered, and your teeth and gums are in good health. I was with Makenzie the day I'm writing this review and she is a great hygienist! She did my latest cleaning and did a wonderful job. She was also super friendly and good at explaining things as she did them. Be sure to call and book your appointment in advance! It's usually that appointments are only available a month away from when I call. Note: I wrote a review of Bacsa Family Dentist when they were going by Emerson Ave Dental in a different building. Came to Dr Meek as a new patient and as soon as my insurance was ran, all he saw was $$$. He…read morereplaced all of my cavities but at the end he ended up causing me to need a root canal bc of the extensive drilling he did (which the office did pay for the unexpected root canal). Before that, he told me I was being 'dramatic' and pushed his utensil tray and walked out of the room. Turns out the roots were severely inflamed and I needed antibiotics. So no I wasn't being dramatic, I was in legit pain. Would only recommend for a last resort and know that there's no office manager, so complaints are based on how the DDS feels they need to be handled
