This office traumatized 2 of my kids and I can't recommend them for their impatience and unwillingness to accommodate hesitation or fear. We now drive to Marin for an incredibly empathic and patient dental experience which our children finally don't fear and almost enjoy. You could not find nicer people anywhere!! I took my toddler in for his first appointment and was blown away by the kindness of the staff. They made it so easy! We saw Dr. Shailee, and she went above and beyond. She exuded warmth and compassion, and took the time to ease my very shy son into the process. Not to mention, the property is so charming! I'm not sure who referred us to this office, but I'm so glad we listened. My son saw Dr. Shailee for his first-ever dentist appointment, and she could not have been more lovely, as was the staff. It's off the path, but not impossible to find, and well worth it, since it's absolutely charming. And...AND: I recently called them to ask about bringing by the oral health assessment needed for kindergarten, and the receptionist said I needn't make the trip- they had the form, and would fill it & mail it to me. I actually loved most of our experience here with our daughter. Shes very young had some severe decay and they offer equip forte crowns which was non invasive and not painful which was amazing. Dr Jeremy Horst was the one who ended up treating her and he did so well with her we were very happy. Unfortunately one of her crowns fell out and we had to return to get it fixed. The dentist on this visit tried something different he scraped the tooth before applying the material, soon after her tooth abscessed. I believe he did what probably has worked and usually doesn't cause issue but it created a huge one for my daughter. I called the dentist office over the weekend when it Happened left two voicemails and got no response. I was able to find Dr Jeremy cell phone number and called him directly. He seemed very sincere and concerned for my daughter and made me feel like they cared about her and her dental health and assured me we'd get her in soon and to expect a call. Unfortunately after the phone call I have yet to received a call and it's been 5 months. Her tooth obviously had to be removed which caused trauma for her. I'm so very disappointed in the way it was handle it was such a traumatic time for my daughter and family to go through and they obviously don't truly care for their patients. I could not in good faith recommend them to anyone. As of today 11/2020 my daughter crown on the opposite side fell off while eating a bagel! Yes a bagel non toasted! Now we're on the road for another tooth being pulled. Please save yourself the pain and look elsewhere this has cost me and my family emotional and financial distress. read more

We visited their Windsor location just last week and I left knowing I made the best choice for my two kids. We saw Dr. Shailee and she was so kind and patient, and didn't push anything that my daughter even slightly hesitated with. The entire office is fun and playful, with a positive experience in mind. From the playroom in the waiting area all the way to a horse saddle that kids sit in to take xrays. How cute is that?! The Windsor office is just behind the Safeway parking lot. We switched from a different dentist to Dr. Oliver, and I'm so glad we did! He was the first doctor to see my younger son, and the first time he saw my younger son (around 14 months), my son wouldn't let Dr. Oliver anywhere near his teeth. Dr. Oliver was fine with that, and when we went back recently (6 months later), my son was slightly more amenable, and Dr. Oliver was quick and efficient. My older son loves him as well. I've been trying to make it so any appointments we make are within a few miles of where we live, but I'm gladly driving from Rohnert Park to Windsor just to see Dr. Oliver! read more

Dr. Oliver is priceless. I would not take my child to anyone else. Dr. Oliver is conservative and respectful of parents choices, opinions, and views, however putting the childs' well being first. He is clear with describing his recommendations and why and the priorities. He always explains what he sees and is happy to show me. Even if my son doesn't like to have his teeth touched Dr. Oliver is great at being quick and efficient with him. read more

We take our kids to Dr. Oliver's office in Windsor and all the staff are superb! We have seen Dr. Oliver, Dr. Shailee and most recently Dr. Horton and I would highly recommend all three of them. This morning we saw Dr. Horton for the first time and he was excellent with both my 2 and 4 year old. My 2 year old was not at all happy to be at the dentist, and he put so much time into trying to get her to warm up and have a good experience. He spent a full 10 minutes playing with her, being silly, trying to get her to warm up to him. It was so appreciated that a dentist understood how these early experiences can shape a child's attitude toward the dentist later on and took the time to be understanding and make it positive for her. Dr. Oliver's office is very practical and isn't there trying to push unnecessary dental work. I will keep bringing my kids there until they're too big for the chairs! read more

If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I took my 3 1/2 year old for his first dentist appointment yesterday. He saw Dr. Oliver. From the moment my son walked in, they were completely focused on making my son comfortable and happy with his first dentist experience. They were amazing! Not only did they make him comfortable, they made him comfortable enough that they did a full cleaning and were able to scrape off some excess tartar that he had from antibiotics. Best dental visit I've EVER had! I went to Dr. Jeremy at their Windsor office with my 2 year old and felt exceptionally comfortable and taken care of by all the staff! Dr. Jeremy is amazing - he took a lot of time really connecting with my child, building trust and has deeply respected him and his needs and cues. What terrible service. I brought my children in there and first was told they would not do any work on them unless they sedated them. I didn't want to go that route so they agreed to work with me and just numb my son. Other than the fact that the dentist chose not to fix the certain tooth we had gone in for in the first place, not even the right side of his mouth in fact, it went fine. The second time we came in, for the tooth I wanted fixed in the first place, the dentist already had a chip on his shoulder and I could tell his level of patience was non existent. Anyway, my son squirmed a little when they gave him the numbing shot (he's a pediatric dentist. What does he expect.) and Dr Oliver put all the tools down and said he wasn't going to do this. So now my son has two teeth fixed that absolutely could have waited and then he never got to have the big cavity fixed and he's now in pain. We're definitely switching dentists but my goodness. If you don't like the thought of your child being put to sleep for a cavity filling, don't try going to this place. They aren't very understanding of your feelings. I'm mostly upset about the fact that he didn't fix the tooth I went in for initially. I'm still racking my brain about that one. read more

I would absolutely never refer any one to Doctor Oliver's office. I was told my son had 6 cavities and one of his teeth would have to be extracted because it was so bad his tooth could not be saved. I was told my son would have to be put under anesthesia and that I could not be in the room with him. My son is 4 and has never been in a Doctor's office alone. The front desk kept asking me if i could pay the cost up front and I told them of course we could. I was a wreck after leaving the office because my son never complained about his tooth hurting, although I did know he had a cavity, that is why we were referred to Dr. Oliver's office. On our drive home I thought I just need to get a second opinion. Thank goodness I did. I went to a dentist who told me my sons tooth was not that bad and the cavity only needed a filling. We set up an appointment and the dentist filled my sons cavity. I would highly recommend a second opinion if Dr. Oliver's office wants to do any dental procedures on your child. read more

I'm sure it must be difficult for a lot of dentists to deal with kids who have extensive tooth decay, poor behavior, or overbearing parents, so pediatric dentistry is overall a good idea. Dr Oliver's office is indeed beautifully set up, complete with playhouse outside and child-height freebie bins. The front-desk ladies are sweet and helpful and the wait time is minimal. However, Dr Oliver himself gave no indication whatsoever that he even likes children. He was condescending to the point of being rude, speaking so fast that I could hardly understand much of what he was saying. I am not a difficult parent, and have well-mannered children, and expected to be able to have some input into how their treatment would proceed. But, no, the philosophy of this office is to drug and gas your kids with 'sleepy juice' and 'magic gas' and do all the work at once, while your job as a parent is to keep your mouth shut and stay out of the way. I have no doubt that Dr Oliver is clinically competent, but I found the whole experience to be extremely disempowering. I have since chosen a holistic family dentist who is willing to listen to my concerns and treat me and my children with respect. read more
