I've always been about taking care of me until I didn't. Being my moms caregiver was extremely hard. She passed on July 9, 2025. Prior to that I had my own health issues and always tried to make my appointment but ended up canceling, missing or rescheduling because of my mom. My doctor for some years left and I ended up with a male doctor who I seen once maybe twice and then I get a letter saying I was basically fired and had to find not a new doctor but go to a whole new Ohio Health for care because I missed and canceled to many appointments. Between my health, my moms emergency calls every other day which was 1 hour away, I had to be there for her. Ohio Health Pickerington never asked about me and what I was going through. My original doctor would and even call to check up on me but she left and I had no notice. So the new team didn't know me and instead kicked me out. I'm still with Ohio Health but a different location. I'll soon be able to have my medications renewed. Its been 2 weeks and they gave me a month but during that time my mom passed and I just didn't remember the deadline to make other arrangements for a new doctor and location. I write this because I had no where else to express how hurt I was to be going through dealing with my mom and then being let go from a whole primary care program. This hurts more then my mom passing. Its was so unexpected and I never had the opportunity to talk and get back on track with caring for me. ​I love Ohio Health but try reaching out more to your patients when they are new. While it was way out of my way, I still made the trek because it was time for a check up. It was easy to find off the interstate, there was a ton of parking, and it wasn't hard to get around the building. It was also filled with staff waiting to lend a helping hand. After getting checked in, I headed to the waiting area for my specialist. On the way I found a small cafe offering food and drinks. I didn't wait long before being taken back to a room, pretty much right on time. My doctor was nice as always and the facility was clearly just built. Very crisp white walls. He has been diagnosed and treated for everything from sinusitis, flue, sinus infection, Covid, fatty liver disease and a severe meniscus tear (which required surgery). Last week I took my husband there for severe lower abdomen pain and they immediately said he needed to go to a hospital and called an ambulance for him. They were taking him to Riverside, but Riverside had no availability, so he was being transported to Dublin Methodist. The front desk gal was so nice to call me and inform me of the location change. My husband ends up needing Emergency surgery! While he was still in recovery the doctor from Scioto Urgent Care called to see how he was doing and what the diagnosis was! You CAN"T get customer service like that from a large hospital and I highly recommend this location for any ailment you have -- They truly care and are excellent health care professionals who are exceptional in the field!!

Told me just to apply cream even though I said the cream doesn't work for me. They said, "yes it does." The arrogance to ignore your patients when no 2 people are the same. Playing with people's lives. The entire situation could have been avoided if they would have just listened to me the first time and given me a couple more days' worth. Anyway, check this out: I called Mid-Ohio Internal Medicine yesterday (Monday) to make an appointment for some stomach issues and was told I couldn't be seen until Thursday. This was a problem for me, because I was going to temporarily lose my medical insurance starting Wednesday. I asked if there was anything at all they could do, and the secretary said I could come in at 10:15 a.m. today (Tuesday), but I might have to wait for a long time, as they were very overbooked. Well, I arrived at 10:15 a.m. and the waiting room was completely empty. I waited about 30 seconds before being called back, and the whole exam from arrival to departure took about 20 minutes. Amazing.
