Visited this beautiful winery this past Saturday with some girlfriends and we opted for the private wine tasting and tour they offer. We were greeted by the manager who was so accommodating and welcoming. We then were helped by Logan, who was our tour guide. From the start, Logan was so helpful and friendly and very easy to talk to and quite knowledgeable. He genuinely looked happy, like he enjoys what he does. That is really refreshing and so rare. I'm no wine connoisseur, but all of the samples were delicious! Our group left with 8 bottles of wine when we were done and I would happily go back to this winery again. Highly recommend! read more

I absolutely love their Pizza. I have been twice and I built my own both times. It says $16 choose four toppings. It then says in brackets, additional $1.50 each. I assume that means you get four toppings for $16. More than four cost additional, but I was charged a $1.50 for each topping. If I had known this, I probably would have picked less toppings. Menu is very unclear or some waiter is overcharging for toppings. I hate that every time you want a wine refill you have to stand in line to order and purchase another glass. Table service in a Vineyard should be the standard. We also had an employee tell us we could stay 15 more minutes. We were lingering too long. We were still drinking wine. How rude. read more

Robert Renzoni: the wine boss, the storyteller, and one of the newest vineyard owners in Temecula! Robert R. is not your typical business owner. He has not forgotten his roots, his family, their history and his customers. When my fiance and I stepped into his temporary tasting room we met Mr. Renzoni himself. His hospitality is sincere. He took us through his family's history in the alcohol business and how that played into his past, present and future. One would think once the formalities were out of the way he would disappear into the back. No, that would not be his style. He took ranks amongst his staff and tended one of the tasting tables. Our favorite wines were: 2008 Moscato: Delicious. I could taste the apricot, peach and hazelnut. 2007 Old Vine Zinfandel: This was wine was aged for 18 months in 100% American Oak. Paradiso Port: Our favorite. This wine has dark chocolate, caramel, blackberry and black cherry. We loved this wine so much we had to buy two bottles! To top this visit off was Grandmother Renzoni's secret marinara sauce. It is to die for!!!! I would definitely sign up for his wine club if it included the marinara sauce. History. Heart. Hell yes! Robert Renzoni tells a really good story. I know this because upon our arrival at this relatively new winery with a whole lot of alcohol history, he took us through his family's run in the booze biz. Normally such a long tale would have bored the crap out of me. I mean, I love my history lessons as much as the next guy, (wait, am I a guy now?) but when there is an array of delicious looking wine sitting there just waiting for my consumption, the idea of whipping out my Dave Chappelle "WRAP IT UP" box becomes a strong reality. However, that is not what happened. Instead, I was super attentive and really interested in the rich amount of history and amazing experiences this man, and his family have had spanning back to before the prohibition days. It was awesome and if you pop in here, do yourself the favor and listen because you will learn a lot. Now comes the wine. I learned something from the story, but the real lesson and take away from the entire trip thanks to Renzoni is that I can now say something, I would have lost mountains of money betting you I never would and that's: I actually like Chardonnay. If you know me, this is the part in the review where the record screeches to a high pitched halt. But yes, it is true and the Chardonnays that I really do dig are produced in steel tanks as opposed to oak barrels which produce quite possibly the most nauseatingly awful taste experience ever created. Buttery, oaky not so dokey, crap is what I normally think of with Chards, but this was light, crisp, powerful and amazing! Hell, I bought 3 bottles of it! Guess the lesson there is, never say never, right? :) Except for donkey porn, I think I can safely say never on that and mean it. What? :) read more

Beautiful venue but very understaffed. They said there was a restaurant. Not really. You have to order from the. Counter and wait for the longest to get help. The girls are okay nice but they seemed so stressed out as the line was long and orders kept coming in. Every time you had to order a drink or food, you had to get in a long line and nobody to help you for a while as they were delivering food and cleaning up. It'd be nice if there was somebody at all times at the bar to help with just drinks. Not sure I would come back to this winery. read more

Big, bold reds here, big giant doors that make you feel like you are Alice in Wonderland, and big bulbous beautiful engraved wine glasses and a bold marinara sauce to dip your bread sticks in. Jars of the marinara sauce are sold by the jar to take home. Not cheap, but really good. The last time I was here, I used a coupon I found online that was a 2-for-1 tasting deal. Glass wasn't included with the use of the coupon. I already owned a glass, so no biggie, but my friend just purchased her glass separately. Few bucks, I guess, but they really are beautiful glasses with a nice shape and engraving. The tasting room was just a warehouse at that point while the fancy schmancy one is being built. But that doesn't bother me one bit. My favorite wineries in this valley usually end up being the boutique wineries anyhow with warehouse or tiny tasting rooms, porta potties and down to earth owners who really know and love their wines and have a lot of enthusiasm sharing them with you. So this does not phase me at all. I am not a port person, but they had a nice port to finish off and I thought it was nice that we got a bit of chocolate to taste with it. I saw some doggies around so it's doggie friendly for those with furry friends. I took home a bottle of the marinara and it made a really nice Italian dinner one evening. Grill some veggies to pair with your pasta and roast some garlic to smother over some crusty bread, open up a nice bold red, and its a lovely dinner. read more

Been driving past Renzoni for years. I have never actually driven up to the winery until my visit this afternoon. Such an incredible setting with beautiful views of the valley. Upon entering the tasting room, I was greeted by Shirley. My visit to Renzoni was actually not for wine tasting. I was in search of used wine bottles for a science lab activity (I'm a local teacher). Shirley went out of her way to help me. As she continued to acknowledge the guests she was already serving, she still managed to help me get wine bottles. She then had Dylan help as many bottles from tastings that day. Both of them went above and beyond my expectations and did everything they could to help me - they even brought them to my car. If this is normal service at Renzoni, I cannot wait to go back as a regular guest. My family owns an Airbnb in the valley and I will go out of my way to recommend Renzoni to everyone. This Winery is Italian focused and its big on 21 and over (I don't mind). SO, they have only one area someone under the age of 21 can be which is the restaurant area. The day I came to this winery, this has been the only time I have ever taken my 18 y/o with me. So unfortunately I spent most of my time in the restaurant area. Sooo, with that being said, no you cant have wine tasting in that area you could only purchase a glass or a bottle. The service in the restaurant was definitely rough and would definitely deter me from coming back. You ordered your food at the bar area and paid for it there (if there was someone there, or didn't pretend like they didn't see you). The music was great, just extremely loud so I had to spend most of my time yelling across the table. Since this is the only place you can have young ones, theres was a lot of babies (crying babies). You could only be in the restaurant area for 2 hours max (but they also have a sign letting you know that the food will take about an hour to get to your table). The food was good, but im just not sure if its worth putting up with everything else. Since the food was going to take an hour, I decided to go in to the tasting area. That area looked great, I had Logan he was great!!! He definitely helped me feel more welcomed, acknowledged he was very helpful. The wine was DELICIOUS!!!!! I was so glad I went in to the tasting room I would have missed out on the most important part of this. IF I go back, it would be only to the tasting room and just purchase another great pasta sauce and it that at home. read more

My husband and I are members, we love the food and he loves the red wines. I like sweet like the sparkling Rose'(unfortunately it's not part of wine club bottles). The food and the views are one of the reasons we come and bring family from out of town. However the last three times that we have gone they didn't have what we wanted to order. The last time the frig was broken, so we couldn't eat the salad, The mac & cheese, or the bruschetta that we were looking forward too. We had tickets from our horseback riding adventure, so we stopped at this winery for some tasting. I have to say that after going to Leoness, this place looked a bit um, busted. The tasting room reminded me of a decorated garage. It's dark, it's a bit musty, the big garage door hits home that you're in a budget space, and it just seemed tiny. The wine itself was great. The bold reds were nice, especially the one that was a compilation of zinfandel, syrah and I forget what else. I bought a bottle and shared it that same night with my boyfriend. I loved the wine, but they should think about investing in a tasting room that feels a little more upscale to enhance the experience. read more

Was recommended to come here from a stranger at another winery because they are one of the few that are open late. But this place disappointed!! 5 tastings for $20. typically it's 6 tasting for this price. The staff is unfriendly. They all seem to hate their jobs. not one person in there was smiling. 2 stars are for the scenic view outside. that's about it. not thoroughly impressed with the wine but some are tasty. The wine server we got was slow, cheap & had a bad attitude. We told her upon arriving that we were celebrating a birthday. Her only remark was "we don't do anything for that". Okay fine... but then we get our last pour which is supposed to be special because it's a choice from the "limited list" (most expensive was $75 compared to the avg $30) or a dessert wine. She suggested the dessert wine, a Port, based off what she knew we liked. It was extremely different from the other wines she poured us. No one could bare to finish it. The only response from our server was to take the glasses from us that were still filled with the wine, dumped them out & didn't offer an apology or another pour.. not even for the birthday girl. I'm a member here and I usually get the "old vine Zinfandel" it usually tastes pretty good. This time it tasted spoiled and yes I get a bottle can just be bad. But I went to go replace it after taking only two sips and the server tasted it and said "it's supposed to be like that" and refused to replace it and said "you don't know what you're saying" the staff has always been rude but I get the same wine every time I come and there's never a taste issue. I told her "it's not supposed to taste spoiled!" I ended up having to use another glass off my membership and dump the spoiled one. Been a member at Leoness for 6 years left to come here but damn I should've stayed at Leoness! They take care of their members! Wine is still good though, this review is about the STAFF! read more

This place is absolutely beautiful, the view as well as the layout is gorgeous. It's only open from like noon to 5pm, and they only have one small kitchen so sometimes the food takes a while to come out.. But that doesn't really matter because during that time period - you should most definitely be wine tasting! & enjoying the gorgeous view. They also have a little sign by the register/where you order your food on how long the food will come out. Every wine I tasted was delicious AF. And the food was also very delicious, you literally can order anything and it'll be a great decision. Our wine person.. (Not sure what they're called), but she was super knowledgeable about each wine that we tasted. Also, the marinara sauce is BOMB AF. I could not stop snacking on the little crouton thing & marinara.. Just a quick update. Their member's lounge is now open and it's wonderful. I stopped by today to pick up my wine. You get to the lounge via a locked door. They give you a key code to use. Once inside, there's a comfortable room with a fireplace, flat-panel TV, and a private tasting area. I'm a member at a few places, but Renzoni is the best. If you're a member, you can do a free tasting or opt for a glass of wine. If you would rather sit outside, there's another door that opens to a fenced in area for members. If you like white wine, try Cantata. 60% Pino Grigio and 40% Viognier. read more

Been a loyal wine club member for five years. Would come about every other month to pick up my wine club selection and was able to get lots of friends to sign up for the wine club. We always made a family Sunday out of it by doing a tasting and then going to the restaurant and having some nice food and listening to the live music. In my five years I have never seen any child cause and issue at the winery . The real problem seems to be the drunk bachelorette parties that show up half wasted in their party bus. Today I get a text message from the winery saying that nobody under 21 is allowed in the tasting room or on the front patio on the weekends. Not even the decency of an email just a cold text. I called to cancel my membership and they were a bunch of cowards that would not even answer the phone. A message directed me to an mail address to cancel. They call their wine club Family in Italian. They claim to embrace Italian tradition, this is nothing but a sales tactic. Family in Italy includes everyone including kids. Don't waste your time here, their are other wineries in Temecula that promote family togetherness. It is quite evident that the Renzonis don't need the business! read more

This was our final tasting location, and my second favorite (FAR ahead of the third) of the bunch! Again, it is amazing what might turn you off at first but turns out to be surprisingly pleasant! This location again had that warehouse facility, but with a wonderful, beautiful interior. Like the cougar winery, their staff was extremely helpful and nice. They didn't chat us up about each and every one of their wines, but they had plenty of customers to take care of. I definitely enjoyed the way in which they distributed their tasting. By the way, their tasting was $12 for 5 tastings, or $15 for 6 including their premium selections. They give you individual poker chips for each individual tasting that you turn in after receiving each selection. Pretty clever, I'll admit, since we're very close to Pechanga resort and casino. Their belissimo was the main hit of all of their selections. In fact, we ended up using 3 out of the 5 chips to get extra pours of the belissimo wine. In addition, some nice people gave us 6 more poker chips on their way out... guess what? We used them all. =) I would definitely come back here again, and I am hoping to see that "Villa" they are planning to build. read more

Very nice! We stopped at several tasting rooms in the Temecula area, and this one was my favorite. The atmosphere was definitely the best. It has a tuscan villa sort of feel, and there was a band playing outside which set the mood. Off to one side were several TVs to watch the football games for that day as well. Misters around the seating areas ensured you didn't get too hot in the sun. We went with a friend that had a VIP membership, so it was all free under his monthly visit allowance. However, I will say that the VIP room was a bit disappointing. It was just a small extra room with a few tables; nothing too fancy about it. When we approached the host desk, they asked if we had a reservation. We explained we did not as we just spoke to someone the said we didn't need one. The guy was very rude and kept asking who we talked to or if we were members... honestly does it matter? His lack of diplomacy was certainly not professional and not someone I was want to represent my business. We will likely not ever return to this winery. read more
