But my son was able to troubleshoot my issue. So, I put a few phone calls out on yelp for a mobile mechanic. No one returned my calls except for Ivan, Mechanic On The Spot. He was able to diagnose my issue (transmission) over the phone and with me sending a text message with my VIN number, he was able to quote me. He put me on his schedule. He called to confirm our appointment for the day. He then text me when he was on his way. Great communication! When he arrived, we were in the middle of a horrendous thunderstorm. But he went back-and-forth, in between the rain and fixed my car. I waited a few days to make sure that my review was going to be accurate. I am so happy with Ivan and the repairs he did to my car and he was very reasonably priced. Also, my son told me it was a very reasonable price. 30 day warranty, one year parts. I would not hesitate to tell anyone to use mechanic on spot. What a fantastic business! So convenient. Especially if you're by yourself and have no one as a back up. After towing it to them for $185 he called saying he was replacing the brake switch because my brake lights were always on and thought that would fix the shifter. When I dropped off my car I had no issues with the brake lights and they definitely weren't always on but he said he needed to replace it and it would probably fix the shifter issue. After they replaced the brake switch he called and said I needed to tow it to a dealership because they could not fix it and wouldn't release the car until I paid them for the useless part and labor they did costing me $225 plus the additional tow. When it got to the Mercedes dealership they said an ABS error light was on which I had never seen before and the switch Mobile Mechanix put in was faulty. I called and talked to Marco at Mobile Mechanix and told him what the dealership said and he said they were just trying to get more money from me and said it was because I was female and didn't know anything about repairing cars and they were trying to take advantage of me. The dealership then told me whatever Mobile Mechanix did shorted out the ESP module which would cost $1700 to fix. When I confronted Mobile Mechanix, Luis the owner, would not take any responsibility and actually told me to fix my own car myself because obviously they didn't know how to. He was telling me to put my emotions aside when I wasn't even getting emotional and he had no right to say that to me. They were totally unprofessional and took no responsibility for what they did to my car. If you need your car fixed I would definitely take it elsewhere especially if you're female because apparently they like to use that against you. The dealership fixed the shifter issue and now I'm stuck dealing with the brake lights issue that wasn't even a problem in the first place.

The winch broke while loading my car on the bed of the tow truck. With that failure on the truck it caused my car to fall of while being loaded and almost hitting a car that was oncoming. There was damage to the body of the car when the winch made contact with and it damaged the steering column as the steering locked when it the car came off the truck and now the steering wheel moves from side to making the car dangerous drive. I was in contact with business owner Corey who said he would take care of everything. I have tried to reach out to him and now he chooses to ignore my messages. It is extremely disheartening that a business does not stand behind their own word and rectify the situation.
