Horrible please dont come here! They botched my chin lipo and left me with major scarring. I regret it so much, wish i would just stayed with my old chin. They did the chin lipo wrong too, they left more fat on one side than the other. Its all wrong, one of my biggest regrets was coming here.

Unfortunately, I have to rate them a zero for lip fillers -They ignored emails sent trying to get response -when I did take of on my own they said nothing they can do I owed it to them The lips were done wrong worst experience was how they set and the pain as if they did not do it right at all I got ripped off $1500 and it was completely messed up Had to have dissolved and fixed somewhere else that is trusted and guaranteed to make right This office is ethically immoral and greedy and maybe boobs are the dots thing but NOT fillers do not go here for any of it Also they had a trainee in there assisting with injections Just unprofessional and this was my experience

Ever since I was a young girl, I dreamed of having a beautiful nose like many others. Being Asian American, I had a wide nose and nostrils. I was very self-conscious about my nose growing up. I went in for consultation with Dr. Shumway in 2010. At the consultation I explained I wanted to have nice and balanced nose with my bridge, tip, and even shape on the sides. He explained he would put silicone implant for the bridge, do pinning on the sides of my nose, and make the nose tip with some point like I mentioned at the consultation. I called right away and scheduled my surgery date for June 2010. After the surgery I noticed right away the imbalanced implant, the sides were totally different, the nose tip was still round and large. I didn't know the implant would stop right in the middle of my nose and not be centered. Which causes the bridge of my nose to concave in the middle and looks and feels very odd. At my consultation Dr. Shumway didn't mention the silicone implant stopping in the center of my nose. When I mentioned my concerns at my follow up appt. he said "I shouldn't look closely into the mirror at my flaws." I thought the point of the post op appointment was to address my concerns that was noticeably worse. Since 2017 until now I've been having a lot of breathing and physical complications with my nose. I can't breathe well, the implant is very uncomfortable and shifts a lot, my bridge dips in the center and all of my nose is very imbalance. I went to a follow up appointment to discuss my nose issues with Dr. Shumway. He told me he would help me. I don't believe he could make my nose better. I don't want to risk another chance to have my nose messed up again. That's why I've been saving up and searching for board certified Rhinoplasty surgeons to help me. I have consultations soon and hopefully the doctors will help with my issues. I'm writing this review if I could prevent anyone from going through what I had to suffer with for 10 years. Please if you proceed with any surgery do your research. Make sure you and the doctor will have a good and clear understanding of your situation.

Inconsistent pricing, quoted $4872, and then said their lowest price they offered was $4990, not consistent

This review is NOT for the work of the doctor (I'm sure he's wonderful) , but whoever is running the Instagram page needs to have a firm talking to.. I inquired about implants and I was responded to once and after I asked for some more info and requested a consultation someone read it and then ignored it.. I was quoted a price and then they tried to say they never said that, but the pictures prove otherwise - they also told me that they'd get back to me with promotions for the time I wanted to come in and days went by and then I had to ask them and then they finally responded they didn't have anything.. complete waste of time Breast implants are pretty pricey and if I were this doctor I'd be very pissed that someone went and spent their 6k+ elsewhere . * I picked another doctor and spent 12k

Way to go yelp. Once again hiding a legitimate review. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what I did!!!!!So I will once again share my review. Let me guess the pics aren't real??? I had rhinoplasty done by dr Shumway back in 2013. I had saved and waited for years to get this done. My results were beyond disappointing to say the least. I came out of the procedure looking like I was beaten . I've never seen anyone with bruising and also bleeding that didn't stop. I had to go back for a revision surgery as well to correct the bottom part of my nose that was still crooked and to see why I had a infection that didn't seem to clear. The bruising was soo bad I had to go back to have a peel done to try and lessen it as well as lightening cream. That still didn't help so I ended up going to a laser specialist that corrected it somewhat. Dr Shumway did my breast previously with no issues but I do not think he should be doing noses. Maybe one day I can save up enough to get it how I wanted it.

    One month before surgery.

Please review ALL 12 photos. These pictures show the gravity of damage done by an overly aggressive CO2 Laser resurfacing that should never have done by Dr Shumway. Too many passes on my porcelain fine skin, resulted in severe damage throughout my face. Dr Shumway should have known better!!! To add salt to the wound, he and Kathy Shumway completely ignored the signs of scarring which I had pointed out to them. Instead they made it look like I was being irrational, and seeing things that weren't there. This was the most insulting thing, and was a literal slap to my face. Having worked for two highly reputable Cosmetic Dermatologists in the Bay Area years back, I was well versed in Cosmetic procedures, including CO2 Laser resurfacing, so I knew that something was not right within a month. I have known the Shumway's for over 20 years, and was absolutely shocked that they would not address what was clearly a botched surgery. They should have put the patients needs before their own by either helping me or sending me to a Dermatologist right away so I could get immediate attention. The longer you wait, the scars become irreversible. They told me to give it a year without any medical intervention. At this point I knew that I was not receiving the Standard of Care, so I sought Dermatology and Plastic Surgeon opinions. They ALL unanimously said Dr. S had gone way too aggressive for my skin type. In fact, a couple Dermatologists stated that they could see the stacking marks/lines from going too deep from the laser. One of their employees who has been in communication with me from the beginning told me that she was appalled at the way they had treated me. It was clear to me that Dr S and Kathy both knew that he had made a big mistake because they were in defensive mode, and immediately had a couple employees in the post-op room, in addition to Dr S stating more than once that my results were excellent. In fact, in his clinical notes, it said "excellent results", furthest from the truth!! What's so darn upsetting is Dr. S leaves his practice each day returning home to his family without a care or concern of what he has left behind. And that is a patient that is suffering each and every day from going from having beautiful skin that I've taken great lengths to take care of, doing all the right things, no sun, Vit topical C, Retin -A, sunscreen, etc .I saw an Esthetician at a top Derm office before my surgery and she said" why are you here? In the 30 years of practice I've never seen such beautiful skin." Of course we're our own worst critic so I said my goodbye without doing a facial, and said OK to what Dr S. recommended which was CO2 resurfacing. Now I know that they'll take the $$ even knowing that the procedure is NOT the appropriate procedure. This has been a literal nightmare, and I cannot express the sadness of going from having what Dermatologists and peers had always complimented my skin, to now having heavily scarred skin. Words cannot express my grief. Thank you for reading, and I hope that my experience has shed some light on the importance of finding a surgeon that will put his patient first before himself.

Terrible! I asked for a C/D cup and ended up with a DDD/E and even bigger after having 2 kids. 1 year after my surgery I noticed my right breast was falling. Shumway had to do a 2nd surgery to reinforce the area so my implant wouldn't fall down beneath my bra line. Sadly, he didn't listen to what I wanted and decided 600cc+ implants would be ok. My recovery was horrendous. My skin was extremely stretched. Shumway should be ashamed of his actions. I've been hiding my extremely over sized breast ever since my surgery. It was a life changer but not in a good way.

I wanted big boobs that we were proportionate to my larger frame. I love them

After the procedure, I repeatedly expressed concerns about the results and was told by staff and providers that the size would decrease over time. More than three years later, the results never changed, and I remained unhappy with the outcome. Despite my dissatisfaction, I decided to give Pacific Lipo another opportunity to make things right. I returned and agreed to pay for another procedure to remove the results of the BBL. I was hopeful that this third experience would finally address the concerns I had been expressing for years. After agreeing to the cost of the procedure and completing the required steps, I was informed that I would be required to pay an additional $200 for a medical transportation service. I explained that I was willing to arrange and pay for my own transportation home and did not want or need the service they were requiring. What concerned me most was my conversation with Dr. Joseph Bivens. During that discussion, I was told that if I did not agree to pay for the required transportation service, my procedure would be changed from general anesthesia to local anesthesia. My understanding was that the anesthesia plan would be altered because I refused to purchase an additional service that I neither wanted nor requested. This was particularly frustrating because I had already agreed to and paid for a specific procedure and treatment plan. When I stood my ground and refused to pay for the transportation service, Pacific Lipo canceled my procedure. In their cancellation email, they stated that my $5,000 refund would be processed within 1-2 business days. However, it ultimately took 4 business days before I received my full refund. While I appreciate that the refund was eventually issued, it added to an already frustrating experience and unnecessary uncertainty regarding a significant amount of money. My issue was never with following medical instructions or postoperative requirements. My issue was with being presented with additional mandatory costs after the procedure had already been discussed, priced, and agreed upon. I gave Pacific Lipo multiple chances over the years. First, I was unhappy with the results of a procedure that I felt pressured into adding. Then I returned and paid for another procedure in an effort to correct those results. Instead of finding a resolution, I encountered additional charges, changes to the agreed-upon treatment plan, and ultimately a canceled procedure. This review reflects my personal experience. I encourage anyone considering treatment here to ask detailed questions about all costs, transportation requirements, anesthesia policies, refund timelines, and any potential changes to the treatment plan before committing to a procedure.

My amazement started with my very first appointment, when I walked into the treatment room and two members of the team were there to greet me and get started! No doctor's office has done that ever! The all female staff (well almost, the anesthesiologist is not) is wonderful. You walk into the office as if you are walking into a spa. It's quiet, lovely, and everyone is very friendly. The surgery consultation, the pre-op, the emails, everyone was careful to ensure every question was answered. I really do feel as if they cared about my comfort as well as my appreciation of their work. Every tiny thoughtful need is taken care of, even those you never even thought of. The "gift bag" containing pre surgery meds (non prescription) plus lip balm, scar cream, and even cough drops to soothe your throat after the surgery was a lovely touch. And Dr Gallus is a miracle worker. I am so pleased with my surgery. I'm still healing but I know I will be very happy with the final results. The follow ups, starting with the text from Dr Gallus just a few hours after to see how I was doing, and my two post ops, have been exactly as expected - polite, friendly, professional, and we are pleased! I am very happy I decided to say no to the doctor who had been recommended to me, and go find my own!! I found Restore SD quite by accident and I can honestly not recommend this office, and this team, enough. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I feel a sense of connection to him because his brother (Dr. Wendell Smoot) did my very first breast augmentation 20 years ago at LJCSC so who else better to choose as your surgeon! I went to his office for a consultation regarding removing my 20 year old saline implants and replacing with silicone. I still wanted a very natural look but at the same time go a little bigger and be able to notice it. He took the time to listen to my concerns and my hopes for the outcome of my procedure. He recommends what's best for your body type so you have the best natural results as possible and I LOVE how absolutely honest he is. I trusted him 100% and he gave me the exact results that I wanted. From my initial consult, to my pre-op, to my surgery day, to my post-op's, everything just went so smoothly! In terms of pain and the procedure - I was nervous about the pain that would be involved with the recovery, but I truly felt little to no pain. I didn't have to take any intense pain medication. I was up and moving around (with caution) the day after surgery. The techniques that Dr. Smoot uses to prevent pain post op is so amazing and my scars are barely visible! The team and the office staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable throughout the whole process and you leave feeling like family. I just love the level of service they provide! When I expressed immediate and legitimate concerns about the grossly asymmetrical, misshapen outcome, I was dismissively met with the condescending remark: "Let's remember, they're sisters, not twins." This patronizing statement was clearly meant to deflect responsibility and silence a vulnerable, young patient who had just trusted him with her body. The result was not only physically disfiguring, but emotionally devastating. At the time, I lacked the personal and emotional support to pursue legal recourse. However, with time and reflection, it's become undeniably clear: I was negligently and carelessly operated on, and the trauma I endured has left lasting scars--both literally and psychologically. To be specific, Dr. Umansky's surgical execution resulted in: Sloppy and uneven internal tissue excision Poorly closed incisions, resulting in significant scarring and dog-ear deformities Asymmetrical areolas, with nipples more than an inch off from one another Long-term disfigurement that has made any corrective procedures extremely complex and costly Despite my desperation and embarrassment, I reached out to the office manager shortly after the surgery to request even a partial refund so I could afford reconstructive work elsewhere. My plea was coldly denied and ultimately ignored. The lack of professional accountability shown by both Dr. Umansky and his office was reprehensible. Since then, I have consulted with multiple board-certified plastic surgeons, all of whom confirmed the extensive damage done and emphasized the difficulty of now restoring what was once a healthy, intact chest. One even stated that the tissue had been "butchered"--their words, not mine. I have photographic documentation of both the immediate post-op results and my current condition, which I am prepared to share publicly and with appropriate legal channels if necessary. If the platform allowed, I would upload these images in full to give others the visual proof of what I have suffered due to Dr. Umansky's substandard care. Dr. Umansky, whether your staff chose to shield you from the fallout or not, you should know: your conduct was not only negligent but borders on medical malpractice. Your failure to take responsibility--medically or financially--for the irreversible damage you caused is inexcusable. I gave everything I had to pay for that surgery, and in return, I was left physically distorted and emotionally broken. This message is for the patients who have been silenced, dismissed, or gaslit into thinking they had no right to speak up. I speak now because I have found my voice--and others deserve to find theirs too. Your actions, Dr. Umansky, were not only unprofessional and unethical--they were, and remain, absolutely unforgivable.

It felt very intimidating to even consult about the procedure and I avoided it for years. When I went to my first consultation at Dr. Umansky's, I had a total shift from intimidated to excited and confident. The whole team was so kind, supportive and knowledgable and also very personable. I felt like they each cared about me as a person and truly got to know me before my procedure. My friends who have had breast augmentations always said, "I wish I had just done this years ago" and I have to say I am SO glad I did this procedure when I did as I felt beautiful on my wedding and am loving my body post-accident again. Literally every single person - from the front desk, consultants, anesthesiologist to the woman who gave me a complimentary facial - were all just fantastic. Dr. Umansky really seems like the best of the best - he couldn't be any nicer and he really took the best care of me. I would recommend him to anyone. I could not be happier with my experience or my results. This is definitely the place to go!

I love Dr. Fabi so much. I've been seeing her for 10 years, and I genuinely look better now than…read morewhen I started. That says everything. She listens to my concerns and I have complete confidence that when she recommends something to me, she has my best interest in mind and the results are always natural. I always look like myself -- just better. I've referred multiple friends to her and they've all had the same experience. Highly recommend without hesitation.

I contacted Cosmetic Laser Dermatology because I was interested in a specific cosmetic filler…read moretreatment and wanted basic pricing before scheduling. The experience was disappointing and, in my opinion, not transparent. I asked multiple times for pricing on a clearly defined request: two syringes of cheek filler, including common options such as Voluma, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Contour, or RHA 4. Instead of a meaningful estimate, I was told the price could range from $400 to $3,000. That range is so broad that it is almost meaningless. The real concern is that the practice then expects patients to pay a $250 consultation fee just to find out what the service may actually cost. I fully understand that a physician needs to evaluate anatomy, goals, product choice, and treatment planning before giving a final recommendation. But for common self-pay cosmetic injectables, a medical practice should be able to provide baseline pricing, including consultation fees, per-syringe pricing, and realistic treatment ranges before asking someone to pay for a consult. The staff member I spoke with was polite, and this review is not about the doctors' clinical skill. The physicians may be excellent. My concern is with the business policy and the lack of upfront pricing transparency. As someone who has worked in healthcare for many years, I found this approach troubling. Patients should not have to pay $250 just to get basic pricing information for a commonly performed cosmetic service. It creates mistrust and makes the financial side of the practice feel opaque and unfair. I chose not to move forward because I did not feel comfortable with the pricing process. I would encourage the practice to publish clear pricing ranges, train staff to answer basic cost questions, and provide patients with useful cost information before requiring a paid consultation.

Thought, from the commercial it would be an easy process with little downtime....long story short they convinced me to do a mommy makeover. The day of surgery I stayed in a hotel over night near there as I had follow up the next day. My bed looked like a crime scene I bled out so much. Within a week, I had an infection so bad the doctor told me to put a Kotex with bleach in the incision, which was the worst pain ever. He then had me start going to his Culver Ciry office, since it was closer to me and it was dirty and gross. Thankfully it was just for follow up. In 2023, I noticed leaking from my belly button on occasion but so minimal I didn't think too much about it. It would happen in rare occasions. Now fast forward to 2025, my belly button started really leaking and it smelled horrible. Went to my doctors, had to go through ultrasounds, ct scans, blood work....nothing. My belly would swell on occasion as big as someone who was 7 mi the pregnant. Finally they had me just walk in while leaking and swabbed it. It was an infection. They recommended seeing a plastic surgeon since they deduced it may have been from my plastic surgery. I called Sono Bello in San Diego thinking they would be able to at least see me. They had no record of my surgery and wouldn't help me at all. I finally went to a plastic surgeon I was familiar with in Claremont. Here we are in 2026 and I just had surgery yesterday to remove infected sutures in my belly button. The infection had gotten so bad the hole in my belly button was the size of an eraser head. Sono Bello was nice as could be when taking my money but the fact they had no record of my surgery or refused to even try to help was appalling. Do NOT fall for the scam, you get what you pay for and investing in your body and health is worth more.
