He is incredibly thorough and knowledgable of not only the clinical/diagnostic aspects of general dentistry, but also the aesthetic of the smile and takes into account the proportions of your face, body size, shape of your lips, and contours of your gums. I've been seeing Drs. Kadosh and Soto for three years for regular check-ups and cleanings. Their professionalism and friendly approach to dentistry is exceeded only by their staff. The staff are very good about giving me the reminders and encouragement I need to remember to floss regularly. They go through, in plain English, the health of my teeth and gums and make me want to be a better (or at least more regular) flosser! Hi .. this is my new dentist and Dr. Soto is awesome. His staff is so professional and excellent at what they do. It shows. When you first see Dr Soto the consultation is really thorough. I have to have major dental work done. He sent me to a few dental specialist - all in the same building 450 Sutter. The work I had to have done was pretty scarey and the price pretty daunting. I called the office and said I think i want a second opinion. Dr Soto personally called me and not getting me on the phone left a pretty detailed message of other oral surgeons for me to talk to or to go and see. I ended up with Dr McDow - he did the work and I am very pleased with the results so far. I've been going to Dr. Kadosh for about 15 years now and everyone at his office is amazing. I've had cavities filled, many teeth cleanings, a root canal, wisdom teeth pulled, root planing, and trays made for bleaching and have never had a bad experience with any of it. Dr. Kadosh's manner is so calm and reassuring, and they always seem to be knowledgeable about the latest technology in dentistry. It's nice to have a dentist that I don't have to worry about questioning his recommendations or procedures. If you are looking for a dentist, look no more! Drs. Soto and Kadosh are as good as it gets! In a building full of dentists, make sure you check this office out! Can't I give zero stars? I would if I could. I had a crown put in and paid for it at the time of the procedure. It wasn't cheap -- $800. A week later, I get a call telling me they had gotten the wrong information from the insurance company and that I owe them four times that amount - $3,200!! This was a huge hardship for me, a single parent. Had I known it would cost that much, I wouldn't have had the procedure done there. But what was he going to do...take the crown out? It should be noted that Kadosh never provided me with any proof that the insurance company was at fault. I didn't have the money on hand, so I told them I would offer them whatever I could when I could, and I made good on my word. I paid in installments, and tried to pay every month...and I usually did, and eventually paid the entire bill off. Nonetheless, any amount that I gave them was never good enough or fast enough for them, and Dr. Kadosh and his "professional" staff got really ugly real fast. They could have offered to split the difference -- it was, after all, not my mistake, but I'm sure the thought never crossed his mind. He's rude, arrogant, and puts his own needs before those of his patients. This is going back a few years now, and I no longer live in San Francisco, but it still gets my goat how nasty and unsympathetic he was. UPDATE: I just read the comment below from Dr. Robert S. No, I have no personal vendetta. I'm not a jilted ex-lover of anyone on the staff. I'm just a very unhappy former customer exercising my right to state my opinion. My choice to identify myself by my initials only is my prerogative. Funny, but someone else who goes by initials only and gave a 5-star review didn't get the same comment. To address a few other aspects of the doctor's retort: The figures I quote are absolutely accurate. Yes, I live in Texas now, but that does not invalidate my review. I state quite clearly in my review that I used to live in San Francisco. Some of my other reviews are also for businesses outside of Texas. I had even received an e-mail from Dr. Kadosh's office requesting that I take down my review. No. Deal with the fact that not every one of your customers is impressed. Shall I also mention that one of the office's tactics to get me to pay the additional $2,400 included calling me at home at 7 a.m. on Saturday mornings? Please don't get me started. read more

I went to Dr. Soto following an embarrassing dental emergency with a veneer that fell out (installed improperly by another dentist five years earlier). Not only did he make time for me but he made me feel completely comfortable with the situation. He quickly fixed the problem beautifully. love dr. kadosh. he's very mild mannered w/ a soothing voice (great for those of you with dentist phobia.) he's also very thorough. i'm introduced to his staff, all of whom are extremely helpful & pleasant. plus they gave me a bag of free stuff. however, it's quite annoying that everything can't be done in one appointment like other dentists. i have to get: 1. x-rays & photos, learn proper teeth care, 2. a consultation where the results are 'presented', 3. teeth cleaned by this other person (who's very booked), 4. teeth fixed part 1, 5. teeth fixed part 2. that's 5 appoinments for a routine cleaning & cavity filling! it's fine if early evening or weekend appointments are available, but since they aren't, this is very difficult for us working folks. if this wasn't the case, i would've given 5 stars. read more

Love Dr. Soto and his office. I had to have common dental procedures done while in San Francisco. Dr. Soto and his team did a great job. He showed me the x-rays, and photos of my problem and explained what was going on in a way I could totally understand. When he was done he showed me photos of my teeth (he asks if you want to see it first of course). The whole process couldn't be more comfortable either. Dr. Soto hooked it up with laughing gas, an iPad for music and shades to make it a super easy dental appointment. Did I mention he doesn't charge for the laughing gas?!? I've been going here for about 5 years. Most people hate going to the dentist, I love it! Of course being told you have a cavity is not fun and straightening your teeth does hurt, but if it has to happen this is the place to go. Your visit starts with Rachel or Christine at the front desk. They are professional, personable, and just lovely. When I come in for an appointment they remember me. There's no impersonal sign in sheet or questions about who I am. They're always friendly, but the real unique thing is that it seems sincere. For cleanings there are 3 hygienists I've worked with and they're all great. There's no torture like at other dentists offices. They'll remember details about you from your last visit, give breaks when needed, give good tips on how to improve your dental hygiene, etc. No complaints here. Michelle is my favorite! Dr Soto is a lovely man. Professional, thorough, but also kind. He is sensitive to your pain and comfort. He is charming, honest, talks just the right amount (I hate the dentists who keep asking questions while you can't answer or who talk incessantly), but most importantly does a good job. Last time I had a cavity filled he called me personally the next day to check on me. I suggest seeing a dentist for your routine cleanings and dr soto is who I would recommend. read more

The hardest part for me and what delayed the start of my cosmetic dental procedure the most was being able to find the RIGHT doctor. As many people know, cosmetic dental procedures are a huge investment. I wanted a doctor who could understand my needs, who I can TRUST that will make decisions that are RIGHT for me and not them, a doctor who is proud to advertise their work and also have the knowledge/experience & references to back it up. That was when I came across Dr. Soto's Instagram page where I was able to view his past work (with the patient themselves even commenting on some of their pics) and also get a glimpse into who Dr. Soto is as a person - He's awesome! I had (2) front crowns and (2) upper veneers that I had done with another doctor 12 years ago that became unhealthy and were oddly shaped (I had a rollerblading accident as a kid where I fell, hit the sidewalk and chipped my two front teeth). I ended up getting a total of (2) crowns and (6) veneers for my upper front teeth from Dr. Soto. They are the perfect shade and shape that looks identical to real teeth! From my free consultation, to my temporaries, to my permanent veneers, I have never felt the work was rushed or overlooked. Dr. Soto took his time to perfect my new smile and always felt comfortable and happy after leaving each appointment. I could not be any more happier with my NEW SMILE and the service I received from Dr. Soto and ALL of the staff (Ana, Cynthia, Christine, Rachel & their dental hygienist). This is hands down the best dentist office I've ever had. Dr. Soto is knowledgable, considerate, and very skilled. I've gotten many fillings and some restorative work done, and everything he's done looks beautiful. I had veneers and crowns on my top 10 teeth from my previous Dentist that were just simply terrible in every way. He had bonded them on canted(slanted) to one side. They were also bulky, grey in color, one was a different color and they went uphill to the canted side. Needless to say I was devastated. I had invested a lot of money and was left with a physical and emotional mess. So, I started researching to find a Dentist to redo everything. I decided that distance was not going to be a factor. So, I researched all of the "Big Name" Dentists from all over the world. The process was overwhelming. I saw 4 Dentists in person and consulted with 3 others online. They all were at the top of their field and have produced awesome smiles for celebrities as well as non. But, one Dentist stood out. That was Dr. Soto. His results were amazing and from day one he was completely committed to helping me. Not because it was his job or money. But simply, because he cared. After sending him my photos, x-rays and speaking with him on video consultation, he formulated a plan, made a video presentation to explain it to me and It was exactly what I wanted. He impressed me immensely with his knowledge, expertise and more importantly attention to detail. He was and is extremely detail oriented and follows every step to the letter. Never cutting a corner. So, I flew from London to San Francisco for my treatment. Upon arrival, I noticed how beautiful Dr. Soto's office is and the staff was extremely warm and welcoming. I then had my first appointment to remove the old veneers and receive the temporaries. I felt no pain whatsoever and my temporary veneers were fantastic. Now, I just received my permanents and could not be happier! They are awesome! The shape, color, details and function are perfect, exactly what I asked for and wanted. I finally have the smile of my dreams. And it is completely because of Dr. Soto. He truly is one of the top Dentist's in the world. His skills, precision and professionalism are unmatched. I was originally a patient of Dr. Kadosh but when he retired, I moved over to Dr. Soto. Both were wonderful. This place just meets a high standard of care across the board. I mean, who likes the dentist? I don't. So leaving a review here means that I would give them 10 stars if I could. The hygienists (especially Jenny) were so great. Rachel and all of office management ARE THE BEST. And your magazines are wonderful too. When I would have longer appointments I would listen to music. Once I borrowed their ipod and listened to Tina Turner while getting a filling. They just make you feel comfortable. They're quick (you're not waiting forever to be seen).
