After suffering with an unrelenting and debilitating sinus issue for 3 years, I decided it was time to get serious about resolving the problem once and for all. I had seen a couple of physicians earlier in the year who were helpful but just wanted to prescribe "allergy drops" and "nasal sprays" only which I felt was inadequate and would not clear up my symptoms for good. I decided to take a different path and called the CT Center for ENT. Dr. Weiss explained in detail how the balloon sinusplasty procedure would permanently solve my ongoing problem. This procedure was relatively painless and is not really that invasive at all. I was able to drive home by myself and return to work the following day with virtually no discomfort. So I went to Dr. Weiss with vertigo problems and I'm feeling so lucky that Dr. Radin referred me there. From the staff, the skilled technicians the experience could not been any better. Everyone is cheerful and friendly and professional. The reason I say lucky is their technician is highly skilled at BPPV Epily Manuever (Ezmarita) which isn't performed from what I understand very often and yet there office does 2-4 a week!!! She absolutely understood my problem, measuring and examining the eye and showing some folks in the office what occurs. I felt like I was in good hands. I would recommend Dr. Weiss to anyone who is in need of a GREAT ENT, because in my opinion he is the greatest!! I've been to several ENT's and no one compares to him, he is compassionate and takes his time in explaining things in detail regarding my care. After many years of suffering with severe sinus issues he was able to provide his expertise and help me when no one else could!! Doctor Weiss and his associates have been a pleasure to work with. He is personal, professional, and extremely competent. I have been plagued for about 6 months by a very resistant biological infection which had taken up residence in my sinuses. In collaboration with an internal medicine doctor, Dr. Weiss was able to identify the proper medication to kill the virus, and use modern technology to administer it. After elimination the infection, he was able to utilize balloon technology to clean out and enlarge the opening so as to allow the sinuses to drain naturally. He took a look and knew exactly what I needed.Dr. Greengerg told me that Dr. Weiss would be the one doing the surgery I needed to have. Once I met Dr Weiss I knew I had come to the right place. He explained all my issues ( there were three) and told me how he could correct them. I was amazed that he could fix all these issues I had been living with for many years. Dr. Weiss made the roads of Connecticut safer to drive. Before seeing him, I had a brief moment of dizziness whenever I quickly turned my head sideways. After testing, he said that signals from my inner ears weren't in perfect synchrony. He and Dr. Leonard sent me to a therapist who taught me how I could fix the problem. I did what she taught and the dizziness left. Now I turn my head to check for cars in adjacent lanes, a big safety improvement. I also have severe post nasal drip and my ears are always getting stuffed with wax. Michael told me how to clean mucus that I wasn't removing by normal blowing. He also pulls the wax out of my ears. Dr Weiss and his staff changed my life, the septum surgery Dr Weiss performed allows me to breathe through my nose which then allows me to sleep through the night, i barely snore, i don't wake up in a pool of sweat gasping for air anymore. I wake up feeling fully rested. Dr Weiss and his staff treat their patients like their family and will go way and be on to make sure their patients are comfortable. We were referred to Dr. Weiss years ago for my son who required tubes in his ears. It was a seamless experience from consultation, testing, the procedure, and follow up visits. He kept my young son very calm and explained everything to me and my husband, who were first time parents and nervous for our young child to go under anesthesia.
