Dr. Parker and his staff are super friendly and know what they are doing. I haven't ever had an issue with scheduling and billing. Wendy is always available to answer questions and quick to diagnose an issue with our hearing aids. I have a polyp in my nasal cavity and he offered surgery to remove it or sprays to keep it under control. I opted for sprays and have not had a problem since. My whole family has been going to this practice for years and I highly recommend it. read more

Today I had my third appoint with Dr. Parker to date, and each time he has taken such good care of me, making sure I feel comfortable emotionally and physically, curious about how I'm doing not just on a medical level but also a personal level, he honestly feels like a personal cheerleader! This was the first time I've seen him since the height of the pandemic and the care and precautions they took before the appointment, fantastic. Took my temp, had sanitizer on hand for a quick spritz, and his assistant went over proper mask safety protocols with me just in case. it's all about business. Dr Parker would not fill out an insurance form for new hearing aids after being tested in his office. His reason was I went for a second opinion to see if I needed an MRI. I am waiting 6 months more before having the test, ONLY if my hearing gets worse. I am in need of new devices my current devices are not functioning. Since his office provided the test its his office that the perscription should come from. Dr. Parker informed me I paid for his "opinion" and since I went else where he would not give me a script for hearing aids. Very unprofessional. Paid signifcantly more (BTW ALWAYS check you bill, he finds many ways to add on to it!). read more

Be aware and stay away!!! I visited this office and made a check for my payment but they claimed they never got it. I even sent the check image of when the check was cashed but they still lied they never got it and even reported to debt collection. I'm forced to consider taking legal action because this one incident has affected my high credit score. Just be careful that they are not doing honest business and even denied after cashing your check with proof from the bank. I'm not sure how lying can benefit them but it may just be because they are stupid. read more

The staff was good. Dr Parker was ok at first but after this horrendous surgery, which I was not prepared for ( I was led to believe I'd be ok in a few days.... 3 weeks later with terrible pain) I came back , a two hour drive,after 5 days and they Put me in a " closet" in the hall to yank out stitches in my already very sore throat. Then I had to beg for relief from swollen tongue... Thank the nurse for suggesting prednisone. He didn't even mention it. I never heard from that office again! GREAT DOCTOR, GREAT STAFF! Since the first time I met Dr. Parker, he was very thorough with testing and an action plan. I had a unique situation in that I had 4 surgeries as a child and multiple sinus surgeries due to allergies. He was right on top of it and I had relief instantly! His staff including Donna Haupt, PA who totally saved me from having to cancel a trip due to congestion, cleared my ears with meds and sprays. I was able to leave the next day...she was a miracle worker. The audiologist is lovely and dressed to the nines always. The office staff is both professional and lovely. Positive: Was able to quickly get in. Office staff pleasant. Negative: Immediately indicated my Mom needed hearing aids when she still had fluid back up in her middle ears. We would not have known any better had my mom not gone to her primary care physician. After 2nd opinion today, the ENT was very concerned with the amount of fluid and indicated it would not yet make sense to get hearing aids just yet. The audiologist report indicated no issue w/ inner ear but with middle ear. Confused. Is this because she is medicare? No blood pressure or other vitals taken while in office either. read more

This doctor and his practice is all about business. So even though they are friendly, dont think they are watching out for you. Dr. Parker treated my husband for severe acid reflux and sleep apnea. Acid reflux feedback: He never suggested remedies like diet changes, exercise, lifestyle changes or weight loss. He directly put my husband on pills that cost us over $300 a month after insurance and left my husband's tummy upset 24X7. After going through hell, my husband did his own research with free info online. For the last 3 years he has been off all prescription meds. The huge improvement is owed to healthy diet and lifestyle changes such as early dinner, more exercise, etc. Rarely if he knows he is going to have a rich, oily, spicy meal up to his stomach's capacity he takes a pepcid and that's it. Sleep Apnea feedback: Dr. Parker had my husband do a sleep apnea study. and then recommended surgery. The snoring came back in a few months. My husband does sleep a little better tho, maybe 20% improvement I'd say. My own experience: I frequently get sinus infections and this place is good to just get ur antibiotics or steroids (for viral infection). But ur general physician can do the same for cheaper. At Parker ENT they scared me that my swollen throat could indicate a tumor (I had a sore throat and cold but still). So they did the whole tube procedure and charged me $350 after insurance. I swear the doctor didnt look even for 5 seconds. Then they always suggest some procedures to do everyday for the rest of ur life. I never did and did fine. It's just a way for them to sell u stuff I guess. Overall, I'd say avoid them unless u have a serious ENT problem. AND if they recommended expensive diagnostic treatment, do your research and dont use them as a source for your research. read more

My daughters surgery was scheduled for tomorrow. I called today to let them know she has a cold and sounds like phlegm in her chest. That they might not be able to do the surgery. They told me to rush in so they can check her quickly to make sure they can still arrive tomorrow. I did. They put a scope to her chest and said she's fine! I walked out and the PA gave my daughter 2 stickers (which she never did before) and the sweet lady in the front said I owe her $35 copay. So I paid. Then said I would like to speak to PA again about that $35. Didn't seem okay with me. Dr. Parker called me into his office and said i had to pay the $35 because it was a check up. I said a check up? You checked to make sure you can perform her ear tube surgery for your own benefit so you didn't waste your time. He then tried manipulation. I said I just want you to know this will be her last appointment. He said "well then we cannot perform the surgery so mom, I would really consider your words. We will NOT PERFORM HER SURGERY" Along with some other words of inspiration mixed with manipulation he had for me. So I cancelled her surgery and walked out. He was very nasty and tried to manipulate me. He's not the only dr in around. Bye dr Parker! Surgery cancelled! $35 for $7000 check. Not smart Dr. Parker. It wasn't really about the $35. I spend that for lunch. It was just the point that it was wrong... And Donna, keep your 2 $35 stickers. My daughter has plenty of them. "Here's 2 stickers sweetheart because mommy is about to get upset!" Even THAT showed me you thought the $35 was wrong. If he penny pinches like this with his patients, I hope he's paying his sweet staff in the front a decent and fair salary! read more

Please read this! This doctor office is horrible! They misdiagnosed me twice! So I had to make many unsuccessful trips to them. I also has to spend $150 on medication since they misdiagnosed so many times! They were so rude and mean towards me at the end when I asked them to please wave just 1 of my 5 visits copay since I had to keep going and had to go to the hospital over the weekend while they were closed. The pain was so bad I had to get a strong narcotic from the hospital! The secretaries were also rude and made me feel very mistreated. I was billed $800 dollars for the PA to "take a quick look" (their words) in my nose, sell me a spray with sugar and tell me to see the actual doctor. I'm sorry, but that's disgusting. The wait time was ridiculous, but that's to be expected with a specialist I guess, but they did absolutely NOTHING FOR ME and charger $800! They asked if I wanted to reschedule, but if it's $800 to not see the doctor and receive zero help, I'll definitely be seeing someone else and recommending anyone else I know in need of an ENT to do the same. read more

I first went to Dr. Parker when I had really bad tinnitus. Let me repeat myself. I HAD really bad tinnitus. I was in the "I can't live like this" stage. Now, my tinnitus is under control. I have my life back. I am getting better every week. Dr. Parker has a really thoughtful and gentle manner. He listens carefully to me, and has a way of defusing my anxiety. Wendy Cooke, his tinnitus and hearing aid specialist, is wonderful. She is very kind and down-to-earth. I highly recommend Dr. Parker and his team. Doctor Parker seemed competent as well as his two PAs. The office, however, is probably the most inefficient I have ever dealt with. I have called the office four times for various reasons. The first, waiting for a call from a sleep study company to set up an appointment. I did not get a call since the receptionist had given the company the wrong phone number. I eventually called the company myself and made an appointment. The second time, I called requesting that a copy of the report be sent to me. I was told by the receptionist that I didn't have a report, which seemed rather strange to me since I had had an appointment with the doctor the week before discussing the said report. I have now been waiting for the copy for two weeks. Today, the receptionist assured me that it was sent on Friday. Today is Tuesday. I am assuming that this is enough time for mail originating in Norwalk to arrive in Westport. But I am certainly not betting on it. In summary, I was pleased with the medical personnel. If you need any follow up what so ever dealing with office management, be prepared! read more

I was referred to Dr. Parker from my cardiologist when I told him I was thinking of getting a deviated septum fixed. My cardiologist suggested I have Dr. Parker look at me to see if I was a candidate for fixing the sleep apnea I had too. He suggested there are other doctors in the area who could fix the deviated septum, but Dr. Parker specializes in helping people with sleep apnea problems as well. I went to see Dr. Parker last November 2016 and upon looking at my condition, he said he felt he could help me. My uvula was rather enlarged and sitting on the back of my tongue. It was falling to the back of my airway at night when I slept and was the primary cause of the sleep apnea. He asked me to do an at-home sleep study to confirm his suspicions and so he could formally diagnosis me with sleep apnea. After the sleep study confirmed this, we scheduled an appointment for my operation. My wife and I had already met our insurance deductible for the year so I was very interested in having the surgery before the year was out and the premiums reset. Fortunately Dr. Parker and the office staff were able to squeeze me in just before the holidays. I was very grateful for this! I read all of the crazy blogs and horror stories online about the UPP surgery...I'm sure they're the same ones that some of the other reviewers on here read too. Yeah it can be scary, but Dr. Parker isn't a butcher like some of the pictures on the UPP blogs showed. I expressed my concern with Dr. Parker and he assured me that he was not planning on taking out my uvula completely and not planning on wholesale removal of my soft palate like in some of the pictures online. Dr. Parker explained that he would carefully measure the size of the uvula and remove only enough to enable proper airflow at night and it would not impede my speech. The surgery went smoothly and I had moderate discomfort for about a week or two (liquid diet the first couple of days) and I lost my sense of smell/taste for about 4 weeks. Whenever I was concerned about something however, I called Dr. Parker's office and his staff was very understanding and supportive and they comforted me and ensured me that what I was going through was normal and temporary until I completely healed. After about a two months, after the scar tissue had subsided, I can honestly say I feel completely back to normal, but can breathe out of both of my nostrils and don't snore nearly as much, if at all, at night. My wife can attest to that. I started remember dreams when I woke up and have felt very refreshed. There are lots of different causes for sleep apnea, fortunately for me, mine was the kind that could be treated with UPP surgery. I'm thankful that I had the surgery, and thankful that my cardiologist referred me to Dr. Parker and his practice. read more

I am a huge fan of Dr. Parker and the services he and his office provided to us for my sons ear tubes. They were incredibly kind and very thorough in reviewing all information and talking with us about options. My son had had 7 ear infections before he was 15 months old and also had fluids in his ears, which made him a perfect candidate for this procedure. When he was 15 months, we go the procedure done and was absolutely blown away from literally the first few days after the surgery. He started repeated words and sounds much more often and talking clearly. He is now the most talkative child in his class at daycare and pronounces words exceptionally well. We have been thrilled with the results and have gone back to see Dr Parker every 3 months since the surgery to make sure things look great and they have been wonderful. Dr. Parker is very friendly and makes you feel at home with his style. Also, when I had a bad scheduling issue at his office (I had to wait for nearly an hour despite having an appointment), he was incredibly apologetic and even apologized on the next visit when I was there. He is great with small children too, which makes things go very smoothly for visits. The only thing that held me back from a 5 star rating is that I had 2 scheduling issues with appointments and had to wait a very long time for one appointment and the other was some confusion on the day of the appointment. However, once issues were brought to the office's attention, they were remedied very quickly and to my approval. Dr. Parker is fantastic! Our pediatrician recommended him because our 1 year old had back to back ear infections. In our very first appointment, our Daughter was evaluated, and her ear tube surgery was scheduled for the very next week. Dr. Parker talked me through the whole process, and made sure I understood the benefits and exactly what would happen. On the Day of Surgery, everything went exactly as he had described it. Our Daughter felt better immediately. It was amazing how much more she was able to speak right away. We had no idea that she had hearing loss until we went to see Dr. Parker. He caught it right in time, and was able to fix it. My husband and I are now also patients of Dr. Parker's. He treats my husband's apnea, and my deviated septum. I HIGHLY recommend him, especially to parents of toddlers who are looking for a consultation about hearing loss. To be fair and honest, he has a busy practice, and it is possible that you will have to wait to be seen. He is completely worth it. Be patient, it is worth it to be his patient. read more

I am 48 years old and have been avoiding tonsillectomy for over ten years because I feared the infamous pain and suffering from the procedure. I was so fortunate to have Dr. Parker perform my tonsillectomy with the thermal fusion tissue welding technique. I'm 4 days out and doing great. The pain was very manageable with Tylenol and Advil-no narcotics!! I could swallow easily from the beginning and have been eating soft stuff without any trouble. Don't get me wrong, my throat hurts and I yearn for a sandwich but it's way better than I thought and I'm back at work 4 days later. My only complaint is I haven't lost any weight yet! If you are suffering from chronic sore throats and repeated throat/sinus infections trust Dr.Parker to FIX IT. I made an appointment to see the Doctor because I suspected I had sleep apnea. I never saw Dr. Parker, his physicians assistant saw me instead and confirmed my suspicion without examining me. I went to a second ENT physician who correctly diagnosed something totally different. So I never received actual medical care, never saw a doctor but did have to pay for a full visit. In conclusion I can't say I got actual medical care, just wrong information and a bill. Go somewhere else. read more

My 1 year old son went in for ear tubes. All around it was an awful experience. They never did a financial orientation with me. I have good insurance with Aetna but was hit with a $300 bill from Dr parker's office, $1500 bill from the hospital and another $600 from the anesthesia. This operation was NOT imperative. I am a single mother, had i known that i would have had these bills there is NO WAY i would have gone through with this. I would have prepared for these finances. On top of it all Dr Parker never once saw my son after the operation. His nurse saw him, she was far from friendly and quite frankly never looked like she wanted to be there. My overall experience with Dr. Parker and his staff has been very positive. Dr. Parker is friendly and I appreciate that he takes the time to fully discuss matters with me. My visits never felt rushed. I went in with various nose/breathing related complaints. Dr. Parker recommended a septoplasty to fix my deviated septum. I got the procedure in 10/2019. For reference, I got a second opinion from another ENT doctor and they also recommended the procedure. Overall, the procedure was a success. No complications at all. It was only painful the day of the surgery. I had rubber splints (not the "packing" you read about online) in for 4.5 days. This was not painful, just uncomfortable. By day 3, I couldn't wait to get them out. After they removed the splints, the recovery was extremely rapid. This was a pleasant surprise. Within a few days, I felt 90% healed. I could also breath fine (using both nostrils) immediately after they took out the splints. I read scary accounts of the healing process online (from various blogs/YouTube) before the surgery. This did not match my experience. Overall, it wasn't that bad. While this is a serious medical procedure, it only had a 1.5 to 2 week negative impact on my life. On the other hand, my original issues have been fixed dramatically. Therefore, I am happy I got the procedure and would recommend it to others who are in the same boat. read more

My 5 y.o. daughter recently had her adenoids and tonsils removed by Dr. Parker and the change has been amazing. She use to snore and get up many nights during the week since she was about 2 y.o. even at times when I thought she was exhausted. Little did I think it could have been caused by sleep apnea. I'm so glad a friend highly recommended me to Dr. Parker. He made my daughter feel at ease and was so friendly throughout the entire process. I was hoping she wouldn't need surgery but Dr. Parker assured me that this would be the best solution for my daughter because she had very large tonsils and adenoids and other alternative treatments would not be enough. He didn't pressure us at all. He simply informed me that this situation could get worse once she starts school because she won't be able to function at her best due to lack of sleep. I'm very glad we went alone with his recommendation. The procedure was done in about half hour in a surgery center (not the hospital). Recovery was a little tough because she's still so young and couldn't bare the pain when swallowing drinks or food. After two weeks, she was back to eating perfectly normal. Her sleeping pattern slowly started improving after those first two weeks and now she's sleeping wonderful! No snoring. It's been life changing because now I'm getting uninterrupted sleep too! read more
