Love it best Mexican food in town hands down my favorite. And they are open every day year round. That alone is pretty amazing.

This is becoming my go-to stop on trips to Redding and beyond, replacing Granzella's which is just down the street. This is a hole-in-the-wall Mexican place with outdoor seating that has decent service, pretty quick turnaround time and, in my three trips there, very good food. Of note are the street tacos and the burritos. The carne asada super burrito is one of the best I've had. This certainly blows away the fast food scene which lines the I5 corridor with 2- and 3- star McDonald's and such. They could use a second bathroom but there's a Chevron down the street where you get gas and use the facilities. read more

You gotta swat the flies away but the food is JUST right. The service was fast and they speak both English and Spanish. I got an asada torta with everything and I wish I had ordered two. Stopped for a quick bite to eat. They are conveniently located off the freeway. Outdoor seating only. There was quite a few people already lined up when we arrived. Good service and got our food pretty fast. I had a couple of sopes- delicious. My husband had the fish tacos. He liked them but they fell apart while eating them, which was frustrating. They need to use 2 tortillas or fry the tortillas. Overall good experience. read more

We decided to have a bite here instead of a drive-through. When we got to the front to order our food the girl was pretty short and fast. And we ordered pretty quick, the tacos Al pastor where good. But not for almost 5 a taco.. same with the Quesabirria, they didn't have much of a taste very simple.. the tostada of the ceviche was stale and had the stale taste as well. But they did give you a good amount of the shrimp. It's a cool spot near the freeway lots of sitting chair it could be pricey for a taco spot. But better then going to a drive through. read more

Perfectly delicious, asada taco (I got the big size) on a corn tortilla with all the sides - salsa, lime, radish and more. Tasty and filling! It was 8:45pm and there was a nice bustle - laughing kids, families, men at the end of their work days. Nice vibe. And a local man offered us a grapefruit picked off his tree. I travel up and down the I five corridor many times over the years and I poked around and all of these mom and Pop Taqueria's. Roberta stands out with the Birria tacos and the Housemade flan. A hint of cinnamon in the video, and the beefhas an earthy smoky flavor. Their home made hot, which they seek by the jar...is sweet with just the right amount of heat. fantastic place! read more

Stopped here at 9:15am on a Sunday. Wife was craving a taco truck and we were heading south from my Shasta. Asada regular burrito was average- 7.5/10 The tacos were on another level. We got the 3 taco plate, asada, carnitas, and Al pastor. The Al pastor was the star of the show. KILLER. The beans and rice were bomb as well. Highly recommend this place! Close to my hotel, so I thought I would give it a try. After reading the reviews, I was a bit skeptical. Service was not rude, just not friendly. I ordered a super veggie burrito. The burrito was huge for $10.00. I took it Togo. The tortilla was slightly stale. The flavor of the filling was good, just too heavy on the rice. The best part was the side of salsa. I drive truck so this place is easy to park and get something to eat. It's a good little Mexican place to get something on the go if u don't want fast food. I had have the shrimp burrito it was ok I have had the breakfast burritos those are good and the carnitas burrito which was good to. The service was good to no complaints. It's right off the freeway so it's easy to get off and back on. read more

I hate writing unfavorable reviews, I really do, but this was the blandest Mexican food I've ever had. I ordered a vegetarian tostada, hold the cheese and sour cream to make it vegan. I also had to hold the rice, because although it was advertised as vegetarian, it's cooked in chicken broth making it definitely not vegetarian. I would recommend they re-label their menu. But I digress. My tostada came with the slightest suggestion of beans and was piled high with watery lettuce and un-salted pico. And when I say watery, I mean, I had a small puddle in the bottom of my take out container when I finished what I could. The only thing that was good was the green salsa which they told me was a hot sauce when I asked for hot sauce... although flavorful, it wasn't a hot sauce. My mom's quesadilla had about as much grease as my tostada had water. It was sustenance, nothing more. read more

BE AWARE...They had too many flys. I just noticed the Quesadilla I bought(09/24) for my kid on our way from a trip and it had a FLY in it. My kid ate some slices over there, god knows how many flys he ate. I'm reporting this, safety issue. read more
