Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Had the supper nachos with steak. Cheese sauce and jalapeños out of a can. The steak and salsa had good flavor. This could have been amazing with real shredded cheese and fresh veggies. If I go back I'd stick to the basic taco. read more

Fair at best based on my one stop here. The chips were nice and crisp, not greasy at all, and the guacamole was pretty good. The salsa wasn't my favorite, but pretty good. The carne asada burrito was 90% (mushy) beans and rice. I only ate half as I could feel my stomach swelling. We stopped off the freeway to gas up and eat. Our meal at this taco stand was as much as the tank of gas for my Prius. Outdoor seating only. The food actually tasted good, but the price was ridiculous for 2 combo plates and 2 drinks, especially since the tacos were the smallest I have ever seen for al- poster tacos. I am used to 6 inch diameter fried tacos and 4 inch diameter al poster tacos, but these were 3 inch tacos. When folded my taco was 1 inch high and held very little fillings. Left feeling cheated and hungry. The bright side of the meal was getting jumped by a gang of 20-30 vato flies. My 9 year old was begging to go to the car after they lifted her enchilada on blocks and stole the cheese. We made it to the car, but couldn't out run all of them, so we had a running gun battle for the rest of the drive home. I think I still see a few of them in the driveway stalking us, so we are laying low for a few days hoping they give up and go back to the taco stand. read more

Be aware that there is no indoor seating, with only tables outside the order window. Stopped by here with a friend after work. The burritos were mediocre at best, and lacked any spice or much flavor. When I saw my friend again two days later, he said he ended up getting sick later that night, and that the food from the taqueria in Williams was the only likely culprit. Next time we will spring for a little extra money to upgrade to Granzella's. I just wanted to try something new this time, but did not find an experience worth returning to. read more

Simple, homestyle, walk up/take out hot spot recommended to us by the front desk at the motel we stayed at. Too much food, amazingly good, and served quickly. I had the chicken quesadilla, and hubby ate the carne asada quesadilla. Gooey, crisp tortilla, nicely cooked and seasoned meat, and lots of drink choices. Most taquerias off the highway are very mediocre. Not this one. Guess that's why there were so many hungry people there. We expected to wait but nope. I had a "super taco" with carnitas. It's a slightly bigger street taco with melted real cheese, guacamole and sour cream. The carnitas was oh-so-delish I got a regular burrito to go for dinner. Hubby had a carne asada super burrito. So we drive past this place about every other month. We always have said we wanted to try it. As we pulled up I actually said maybe we should yelp it first but we didn't because we were already in the parking lot. Hubby got a super burrito I got street tacos. On our way home I checked yelp. We spend the next 20 minutes getting a good laugh out of all the bad reviews about this place. I have to say how on point they were. Although we did not experience bad customer service. Our food was point on to the bad reviews. Burrito was basically a bean and cheese burrito barely any sight of all the other ingredients and my tacos weren't bad but hello 20 seeds in the big scoop of salsa made it too hot. Top notch carnitas; I would put them up against anybody on International Blvd Oakland. Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. One star off for lack of salsa selection; but their salsa verde was good. A bit of a hole-in-the-wall but a pleasant little patio to sit in the shade. A great stopping-off point on Hwy 5 on the way back to the Bay Area. Eat local when you travel! read more

well My common law husband was taking me to California to meet his sisters and we stopped at this cute little yellow taqueria in williams California off I-5 to eat and it was the best taqueria I had ever been to very authentic and now everytime Miguel and I with our Four kids go back to california we eat almost every meal at this Robertas taqueria not just because it's my sister-in-law that owns it but because I just cant get enough of it. I know my Mexican food so trust me its worth the stop and it's easily accesible right off the exit. I was taught by the best of the best what real authentic mexican food taste like and they also serve Menudo on sunday's but better go early because it goes fast especially when were in town.lol. read more

I used to love this place but it has gone down hill. After yesterday, I would give it 0 stars if Yelp allowed. Used to have good authentic Mexican food and was very reasonably priced but the quality has gone down and price up. Personally if food is good at a good price, I don't care about service but when I asked for another tiny plastic cup of salsa and they said No, it's $1, that was final straw. I ordered a super burrito that was big but...was $8.15+tax and it was 90% rice and beans, 10% meat, no cheese, a spec of sour cream, and green gel they call guacamole. I needed more than 1 tiny quarter sized cup of salsa to choke it down but that was going to cost me another couple bucks. Crazy to think a business would lose a customer over a tiny cup of salsa. Carne Asada was tasteless and light grey in color. I was always willing to fight off the horde of flies there if the food was good but no more. Played it safe for the fussy teen with 2 chicken tacos and a rice and bean burrito. Mediocre, very. But wait, no salsa comes with the burrito. That would be $1 more! But I just paid $10 for my order. Service person grabs a single, regular little container of salsa, pushes it out the service window, and slams the window shut. So, if you desire authentic rudeness, I highly recommend this place. The worst. I've cooked and eaten Mexican food my whole life but this place was a disaster. I speak enough Spanish to get by but for some reason my order was all wrong. Ordered a soda and got 2 waters @$2. No utensils included with the styrofoam containers. But the food was inedible. Taco was flat on an uncooked tortilla with stringy tough meat,wilted lettuce,and a big lump of sour cream. No tomatoes or cheese. "Cheese" enchilada was unrecognizable with a gooey lump of orange translucent "cheese". It looked like someone stepped on it! Rice was tasteless, over cooked and congealed. Beans had no flavor or "cheese" (thank God) even the side of "guacamole" was an ounce of green water like sauce that didn't remotely taste like avocados. Forgot my side of tortillas. 2 tacos and 2 enchiladas set me back $37.50. My brother and I just tasted enough to put the rest in the garbage can. If I didn't know better I'd say it was a deliberate sabotage. NOBODY cooks that bad. read more

I stopped in today for the second time, was right next door and thought I'd give it another try as my first experience wasn't great (had a burrito then). Ordered 4 tacos, 2 carnitas and 2 pastor. Carnitas were soggy and the pastor had a ton of fat and not much flavor. Tacos were small and portions tiny ( I eat at taco wagons all the time for real street food, so I'm not making a comparison to the likes of Taco Bell!) do yourself a favor, go the couple extra blocks into town and eat at La Fortuna, puts this place to shame and the employees actually act like they care! read more

Stopped here on our way home after looking for a place online other than fast food. Upon seeing the reviews here, particularly one who compared these burritos to International Blvd. burritos in Oakland, we decided to stop. Still wishing we hadn't. We are quite familiar with Oakland-area burritos and visit the area often since my husband is from the East Bay. Getting your food off the truck is the best, and this is no where near that. By far one of the worst burritos we've had. The top third had no carnitas whatsoever and seemed okay. But once we got down to the meat, it was all bad. The carnitas was fried beyond return, and tasted only of grease. Needless to say, the last third of the burrito went in the trash at the restaurant, and the third of it we did eat was gone after we got home and became ill. The cheese quesadilla we got for the kids had something green in some spots along with the cheese....avocado, lettuce, or ???? Don't waste your time here. And definitely don't expect an authentic Oakland burrito! read more
